Start of week 4, day 22. The girls grew tremendously during the last week, very nice branch growth, internodes and overall plant size. No trimming this feeding, just removed 2-3 dying leaves from the lowest branches. One of the girls is clearly shorter than the others, I think I will keep her in veg after this week and flip the other two to flower.

Whew! Miss Hypnotic continues to amaze me! She continues to be a light hog but LOVED THE CONDITIONS!! She has trichomes on the sugar leaves already! She smells beautiful alone and with the other girls! I'm posting this as a question but what advice do you guys have for taming her height 🤔 Edit 12/19-I figured out how to tame down her height! I took garden wire and high stress trained her. She's responding well so I'm happy too! No light burn/bleaching over here!

We're beyond excited to try out this new MarsHydro LED for our latest grow, the SP-3000 is INCREDIBLY bright!! ..I have never seen a light more appropriate for a 4x2 tent in my life, we (happily) replaced 3 "600 watt" blurple LEDs with this single rig ( something we've wanted for a very long time). There should be no issue achieving perfect coverage, corner to corner with this light. Its been years since we've flowered under LED ( and never one of this quality), we're a little bias towards HID/CMH, especially my hubby but I think this might just be the LED that changes our mind! We'll be growing Gelat OG Auto by Seedsman (we've heard amazing things) for our first grow under the SP-3000, all plants in 5gl fabric pots, Promix-B (25% perlite) on a 20/4hr cycle. We're starting with 4 plants but if they become unmanageable, we'll move one or 2 of the plants to another tent. We use a glass of water and a paper towel as our germination method. We soak seeds roughly 24hrs and then in a wet paper towel for another 12-24hrs, we average roughly a 90% success rate doing it this way... Day 2 in the pots they came out beautifully with their seed as a hat! Day 4 they were all 3 1cm out of the ground, they were born! Day 6 is almost over today and 2/3 seeds go delicious. Both of them already have their first set of real leaves and you can see the next set coming, oewhhh. Unfortunately there is one that I think is less gene/old seed. It sits around half the height and the lobs are almost closed, but hopefully it is still hard 💪 🏼

Week 6 Days 36-43 (a lil over a week) Both phenos are strong. The right one is bigger but the left has more shoots but smaller. I actually think I'm gonna get 2 different phenos. If that's even possible with 1 seed. They should be the same or its either 1 is bigger cause its taken up more, but, its hard to tell at this stage. They're acting very similar. But different in ways. The smell on one is my zingy, and the other is real deep candy lemon. Plant(s) smell amazing. Happy they went well be uppoted to a 20L pot. (I actually cut the pot away like you would a dixy cup placing it into new pot already back filled with soil. So no stress. Ruined a pot. But, hey. Wtfc right. July 20: 31 inches with a 16 cola manifold 👍😎. Definitely growing fast and has now pulled ahead of the 16 cola Bruce Banner Fast which is at 30 inches. Hot again today so a bit more water and a couple of mistings with hose water to cool off a bit and provide some humidity. One tomato plant that I realized had a potassium deficiency responded well to a potassium silicate foliar spray. You can learn some cool stuff growing dope. July 24: still growing fast and maybe starting to pre-flower which is fine cuz I’m starting the force flowering in a few days. This is just 12 h of darkness to get this photoperiod to start flowering. Yes, it’s a photoperiod plant from Fast Buds. And it’s awesome. Did another lazy compost tea which is just 5 gallon pail of water that’s sat out overnight to degas, two handfuls of mature compost, some molasses, kelp and Humic Blend, and finally a couple handfuls of shredded coco coir to give the bacteria some where to attach and grow. Leave overnight, maybe stir a couple times, but that’s all. 24-48 h maximum as you don’t want it going anaerobic (and stinky). After tea, she and the other girls got a nice top dressing of barley and Power Bloom with minor amounts of oyster shells (for calcium) and Azomite for trace metals. These are bloom nutrients in anticipation of the start of flowering this weekend. This has been the hottest 90 day period ever here in Edmonton, and lots of other places too.

For test purposes I would like to give a very short vegi time this time. To be precise, I would like to switch them to flowering a few days after rooting. Since the growth is extremely extreme on Aero, I think that a few days will be enough to get 8 little trees 😋. Of course everything is documented and uploaded. Today the cuttings were cut, brushed with clone gel and placed in the aero system 😃. Of course, the entire system was cleaned very time-consuming with disinfectant after the last run, and all seals, pumps, etc. were checked for their function, so that the new run could start today 👌👍.
