~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2201 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Mars Hydro Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 1/19- Here we go into Week Four of flower and these testers are ON FIRE!🔥🔥🔥 Both testers are in a flower frenzy and are ready to eat! Today I gave both girls their last top dressing with Down To Earth 4-8-4 Flower Mix at a ratio of 2tbsp/g and Coast of Maine's Stonington Blend 5-2-4 Organic Plant Food at a ratio of 1tbsp/g which I simplified by using 1/3 cup of the 4-8-4 and 1/4 cup of the 5-2-4 in the 4g pot and 3/8 cup of 4-8-4 and 1/8 cup of the 5-2-4 in the 3g pot. After working the amendments into the medium, I watered it in with 1g of straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.6 @ 74℉. It will take a week for the microbes to begin breaking it down and will last for 3-4 weeks after that which should coincide with them finishing up, or close to it, enabling them to naturally 'flush' themselves out. I've also increased the power to the HLG 650R's the the Trolmaster Hydro X Controller to 75% which has them pulling 990w at the wall and have them hung 32" above canopy. I also starting adding in 4 hours of UVA during the middle of the light cycle for the remainder of flower. I've been monitoring their leaf temperatures and they're running 71-73℉ which is perfect! I have the AutoPilot APC8200 co2 Controller set to 1100ppm with a 100ppm window and the AC Infinity Cloudline T6 controller set to maintain a 74℉ temperature in the tent while the lights are on. 1/21- I'm watering her daily with straight de-chlorinated water ph'd it to 6.6 @ 74℉ and she stays in a perpetual state of 'praying'.... a VERY happy girl she is! 1/23- I watered/fed today with 0.75g of de-chlorinated water with GreenGro's Natures Brix, Granular Myco and Flower Finisher mixed in, after which I added 1 tsp/g of unsulfured molasses and then ph'd it to 6.6 @ 74℉. 1/25- Daily watering continued today with 0.75g of straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.6 @ 74℉. She's looking fantastic and I'm really looking forward to Week Five of flower where she should really start to strut her stuff! 😍💚 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! 8/22/25 pistils are really changing colors. I feel like she's just going to get thicker and thicker.

First week after germination. Started to use some BioBizz products. (Root Juice, Bio-Heaven, CalMag). The water I started with is demineralized and has an PPM of 45. I moved the lamp to 25in (63.5cm) and turned on the lamp intensity to 60%. I will start Bio Grow + FishMix + Alg-a-mic + acti-vera in week 2 and remove Root Juice Water + BioBizz: Day 1 = 1L each plant -->EC 0.270 Day 2 = 500ml each plant -->EC 0.270 Day 3 = 500ml --> EC 0.300 Day 4 = 1L --> EC 0.300 Day 5 = 1L --> EC 0.300 --> lowered the light to 22inches, Added a humidifier to keep it at 55-60% Day 6 = 1L --> EC 0.300 --> added a second fan, 1 wasn't enough. Day 7 = 1L --> EC 0.300 --> lowered light to 17in. humidity 55-60c I am currently watering manually and decided to not use the Autopot, but instead get two water pumps to extract the run-off and feed. Will add pictures when done with the set up. Lessons learned: Should feed with 1L water instead of 0.5L since EC runoff is much higher with feeding 500ml. I think i could have started with the lamp at 25in once i transplanted it in the final pot.

These chef anna white label autos are just amazing. The smell is so pungent it just smacks you in the face from 10 feet away. I cant wait to smoke these lovely ladys. Not to mention look at all those pistols.

Ok so I'm a couple of days later with posting, though the images are of last Friday. They went full into flowering. At the same time, 3 of the 4 have some weird growth going on. Deeply ridged leaves, a bit springy plants. I raised the lights cause I also saw white points and other leaf burn. I have to get used to the nitro-fueled energy of these thoroughbreds and the 'on the edge' style of growing that autos deliver, as a mostly photoperiod grower, this is both exiting as well as a bit out of control in the style of a rollercoaster, once you get on - you have to do the ride. All in all amazed with the vigor, though clearly, the XLs outperformed the Forbiddens in growth. I have so many conditions going on, however, that all will be too close to call for now and in the long run my results will have been tainted by my experimenting and finding all optimal with these rocket-style plants. I'm amazed at this growth as Jack must have been when popping his magic beans. Still, they keep developing and power through with bud formation. I have to watch these lights, the SP 3000 by Mars Hydro is so powerful, that also getting this light optimal is a whole learning curve, but it does deliver a punch. I think I overdid the amendments at the start with the blood meal and that's why I see ridging so I'm careful with the Nitrogen and give them lots of fresh water with just some topmax in between. They seem to hold out but its on the edge. As far as bending, after the initial bend, I saw many branches develop that are nicely outward, tucked some leaves but I'm happy with the shape of the plant and will let the center bud develop. I am busy all weekend, so I wanted to make sure I got something out of the grow (just in case). I might use a good portion of this harvest for rosin and for when friends ask :) That is if the second plant lasts until next week. I cant ask my wife to keep an eye on water, roots, or bud.

Not qui te ready ! I think I'll be startin to flush the big one by the end of the week, seems like it's near the end. You can see that the trichomes are not milky like it is advised on the web, but it's really soon! I now give them 11 hours of light, and next week it'll be 10h. I'm finally seeing the end of it ! Things are going well. This is a very inconsistent strain. I finally decided to kill off the plant A529 because it just would not grow and always looked over watered even though the rest of my garden looked great. One thing i can say is this strain in extremely nute hungry. I could easily increase my N if this was the only strain i was running

For weeks 9-10-11-12: It was now May 2020 and the ambient temperatures combined with no exhaust fans were raising temperatures to almost 30 degrees celcius. Way too much. So I rushed to find an oscillating fan and also a so-called inline fan with carbon filter for the smells that started to develop and for exhaust of hot air, trying to control too high temps.

Buds a bulking up, getting sticky, frosty and stanky!! Day 11: Watered each plant with 0.1l with nuts 465 ppm, 987 us/cm, 0.9 EC Lights at 35% The strawberry banana seedlings was very late in coming out of the ground, I had to give the helmet a hand to get it out, through 2 or 3 drops of water. One of the seeds is not good, it grew poorly, I put a Gorilla Cookies to replace it, also from fadtbuds. Let's see how it goes Day 12: The strawberry bananas are recovering well, one of the seeds is starting to get normal leafs, sounds perfect Day 13: Watered each plant with 0.25L with nuts 480 ppm, 1027 us/cm, 1 EC Lights at 50% Day 16: Watered each plant with 0.3L with nuts 668 ppm, 1423 us/cm, 1.4 EC Performed foliar callmag while the lights were off

This plant is flowering in temperatures of 14celcius

The week starts Monday Jan-27, being day 27 of flowering. Plants are looking very good and healthy, albeit some bigger buds at this stage is missing. Carried out more defoliation of upper leaves on the CBD. Only trimming fan leaves on one side of a bud site in alternate fashion. Strategy is to expose more bud sites to light. Leaves are getting sticky and glistening brightly. Feeding a high EC nutrient mix whilst monitoring run-off EC which remains below feed EC. The canopy is still thick with beautiful luscious green leaves typical of an Indica. Light is maintained at 30cm above the canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering just over 2L per day. Maintaining an average RH in the space at 50%. ---- updates for prior 4 weeks -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-20 still flowering away. Bud sites are beginning to take form and the ScrOG setup looks full, ready for the development of some large buds. Removed a few more leaves from above the canopy which were blocking bud sites below. Also cut small stems (with bud sites) below the canopy from both plants which were unlikely to grow strong. It's now looking clearer below the canopy. The canopy is still thick with beautiful luscious green leaves typical of an Indica. Run-off EC has been slowly rising over the weeks but still under the feed EC - will be keeping my eyes on this. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 2.5L per day. Maintaining an average RH in the space at 50%. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing thick and fast, with very short node intervals creating a thick canopy. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 2.5L per day. Lowered the average RH in the space to 50%. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-06 in flowering stage. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. The Indica dominant strain is really shining with incredible dense growth and thick branches that don't bend as easily as it's Sativa neighbour. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My grow setup includes; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom. Passive intake of air is from a closed off section of the room where the central heating boiler sits - the intake is warm air (20 degC.) and fairly dry (40% RH) during the winter months. - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 - ventilation fans - aquarium heater - small oil heater - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots and 3.5L general pots for seedling stage - Canna Coco substrate and nutrients - pH and EC/TDS meters - Thermo/Hygro meter
