Week 1 - and so it begins again! Mother Nature and I are entering into an all out Jedi slap fight. Her with her 4 elements and me with my trusty watering can and twine. We’ll see who the real bitch is Mother Nature... we’ll see. This baby is one of our 2 signature outdoors for the summer growing season. They are kept close at hand on the back deck and we’re look’n/hope’n to go exceptionally huge with both of em this year👍😎. She’s getting her start in the grow cabinet mimicking a 14 hour light cycle with the current outdoor sched. Just temporary until frost season (May) is finished and we should pick up an extra few weeks of veg. Deets on the background and method below. Thanks as always for check’n her out👊. Background Well, the name say’s it all. This ones a cross of Skywalker and OG Kush, brought to us by the good folks at Reserva Privada out of Amsterdam. She’s indica dominant but if you’ve ever grown this outdoors before - then you know she doesn’t act like it. The last time we grew this out it was an absolute monster of a plant. Definitely leggy like a sativa but with fat ass indica leaves. Sadly, it didn’t see harvest last year so we have no idea what the affects are like. As far as method is concerned, pretty simple: au naturelle outdoor in a 15gal. Smartpot. The medium will be a relatively even mix of perlite, compost, coco-coir and promix with a semi-regular/weekly nute regimen starting in late veg. She’s not big on nutes really, but a thirsty girl when she starts gett’n big. If there is one plant in the lineup this year that must make it to chop - it’s this one. Thanks very much for stopp’n in. The questions, comments and good karma are always welcome! May the Force be with you👊

Week 2 update - again damnit! Issues out the gate with this seedling. She’s got some wilting and burn on her first leaves. This medium is straight soil and purlite so the early problems with this seasons seedlings have to be due to the nute mix in this blend being too hot. I’m a little annoyed - this shouldn’t happen with generic garden mix and promix has always been our go-to soil with no previous issues. She should pull through but again - growth will be a little stalled and probably put ‘er a week behind where she should be. Alls good and she’ll stick around in the cabinet for another couple weeks or so. Cheers folks👊 Background Well, the name say’s it all. Week 3 update - this is why I love Reserva Provada and their Skywalker OG. The seedlings always seem to be more delicate than most but once they get their feet, growth just takes off. This ones no different - last week she looked destitute and very pissed off but since then she’s pushed some first fans out and is starting to roll👍. Really wish we’d started her and the lemonesia a little earlier but oh well - she’ll end up a monster regardless if all goes to plan😎. Steady as she goes and they might end up getting some time outside this week. Thanks for swing’n in👊 May 24 update - things are lookn good with this one and time to pot up. With the repot we’ve also got good enough weather to bring er outside! Hopefully being under the sun and a bigger space to spread out will be a welcome change for her.👍 Background Well, the name say’s it all. Week 5 update - alls well. Lookn to up pot to the 15gal this week.👍 June 7 update - I’ll save the up pot photos for the week 6 entry but we’re doing that today. Week 6 update - now firmly rooted in her forever home👍. She’s loving it right from the start. I think both of these pot grown outdoors are gonna be crazy good. Week 8 update - she’s grow’n like mad. A full 8 inches this week and loving the amended compost medium for sure. Staked her pot as well in preparation for what will definitely be a plant that needs some support. Alls good - probably a week or two and we look to add in the occasional shot of nutes👍. Week 9 update - veg. Growth is now kicking into high gear with big gains every day. She’s now pushing 36” in height with no signs of slowing down. We’ve had decent rain all week so the only thing she really gets is a single shot of basic nutes once a week. We’ll probably throw in a compost tea here and there as well but other than that - she’s taken care of herself.👍😎 Background Well, the name say’s it all. Week 10 update - she’s now tall enough that her upper leaves receive at least a couple more hours of sunlight a day before it sets behind the garage. She’s taking full advantage and stretched over a foot this past week. We’re past the 4’ tall mark and been at least month since we repotted so it was time for a shot of compost tea. Hit er with about 2.5gal of ecotea and that should keep the medium juiced with bat shit, molasses and other stuff. At least for the next few weeks anyway👍. All is excellent friends👌👊. Week 12 update - we should probably rename this monster “given tree” because that’s exactly what we’ll be doing if she makes it to harvest this year👍. Given up a lot of quality smoke to those in need😎. She’s huge now at 6’ and the stretch has yet to commence. I’m already giddy for what’s gonna start happening right in a month or so😎😳. Week 13 update - she’s fantastic and doing excellent. The better half is already starting to worry about unwanted visitors ripping us off so that tells you all you need to know😉. Another 10” of vertical growth this past week she’s got a full foot on the lemonesia beside er. Starting to see some white hairs and I do believe the stretch is on its way. Might toss another compost tea at em this week and it will be the first of 3/4 of these feedings throughout early flower. Alls well as per usual folks. Thanks for swing’n in👊. July 30 update - these little bastards are the Japanese beetle and apparently represent a real god damn issue if they decide to take up occupancy. Right now they’re on our dill as well as our raspberries. The girls haven’t been visited by em yet but we’re takkng no chances. Bag and tagged the dill today, buying some neem oil tomorrow and will remain diligent✊ August 1 update - looks like she’s stretch’n into transition now👍😎👍😎. Flower show come’n up! Week 16 update - first budlets have popped out now and she’s lookn fine as. No issues at all, getting a semi-regular support feed of nutes but the compost mix is generally taking care of most nutrition. Week 17 update - alls well as we run through the stretch. She’s now over 8’ and strong as a tree👍. We’re supplementing any missing nutrition with a shot of base nutes every other watering. She does tend to feed on her stores quite heavily during flower so we do encounter the occasional yellowing fan leaf. The buds have started to stack on nicely and the node spacing is tight, even for this early in flower. Thanks for swing’n by and take’n a peek. It’s about to get real folks! Week 18 update - well start with the good news: she’s a beast! Monster of a plant, even bigger than the last and stacking on buds even faster than the neighbouring Lemonesia. No nute issues and the amended soil medium is gonna be a future go-to for our outdoors. Simple too - equal parts promix soil, perlite, coco and regular compost. Only some light additional bloom nutes every other watering or so. The bad news: F*#K! We pulled 4 balls off of various branches, one of which had an almost fully developed seed in it. Looks like this girls a hermie. How much of a hermie remains to be seen. Weather hasn’t been good and haven’t had the time to run a full check of every branch yet but on a look last night I couldn’t see any others. We’re officially on nanner watch for the rest of the grow and if we see any more than we might have to make the executive decision and tear ‘er down😬😔😬. This will absolutely break my heart and kick the overall seasons yield right in the proverbial nut sack. Don’t know why it is about this strain but we simply can’t catch a break with it... stay tuned - hopefully this wasn’t a complete waste of time😔. In the words of master yoda- strong, is the dark side of the force...

Week 19 update - so far, no lore balls🤞. She’s stacking on like mad and we’re scared shitless of er putt’n out a bunch of unusable seeds. Alls well save the sack/nanner watch folks👍👊, Background Well, the name say’s it all. This ones a cross of Skywalker and OG Kush, brought to us by the good folks at Reserva Privada out of Amsterdam. Week 20 update - week 6 of flower and she’s coming in super strong. Starting to show slightly different than last year with a purple hue starting to develop in the buds. The stem is now a trunk and we’ll need an axe to get em down👍. Still a ways to go but look’n good👌. No issues, no notice of more seeds, alls awesome😎👊. Background Well, the name say’s it all. Week 21 update - week 7 of flower and she’s lookn like a 10 weeker to me at this point. Like the neighbour lemonesia, these ladies are starting to yellow out across the larger fans which I’m assuming is a nitro deficiency while she packs on bud weight. This is despite regular nute feedings every watering so they’re both running in overdrive right now. Thinkn about laying down a compost layer just to give em that little bit extra to the finish. She’s stinky as all hell and the purple hue in the buds is just awesome! She’s primed to be a terrific harvest if we get there. Alls well otherwise and anxious to see the end result. Thanks for taken a look!😎👊 Sep. 24 update - see photos, we found the suspect that may have pollinated a bud or two a couple weeks back. My lady found er and said this silly bitch was stuck to the flower and seemed dozy as fuck! Lol. Background Well, the name say’s it all. Week 22 update - week 8 of flower and she’s still lookn good. The yellowing fans haven’t really advanced (or regressed) and she’s now showing a little calcium def. too. Added some cal mag into the mix for good measure and just to keep the necessary nutrition rolling through the next week or so prior to flush. She’s taller than last years, not as bulky but damn, those are some pretty ass buds. This outdoor run still makes or breaks our long term stash. Alls well but still waiting on the full swell.👍 Background Well, the name say’s it all. Week 23 update - coming in to 9th week of flower and she’s just about done. Trichs are ambering nicely at roughly 5-10% across the tops. The lower buds need a little more time. This will be the flush week, I can’t see er going longer than another week and we’ve got 3 of these to deal with so gotta stagger it out a bit🤔. We also had a mild frost last night so time is starting to catch up with us too. She’s the furthest along of the lot and she’s absolutely gorgeous. Beauty colours, covered in a delicate frost. Everything I was hoping she’d be👌. Stay tuned y’all - 1 more week to go and this girl be done👍🤘😎. Background Well, the name say’s it all. Method 🎚️ Medium: 🥥🥥 We ran this one in an even parts soil, compost, coco and purlite mix. The hope was to minimize required nute feedings and maintenance. The addition of nute nuetral coco proved to be somewhat of a mistake and may have contributed to some unnecessary plant stress when she used up all the available natural nutes in the soil and compost. There simply wasn’t enough good stuff in the medium to see her happily through the cycle without extra supplementation. I’d do this again but leave out the coco and layer the compost at the bottom with minimal medium saturation and runoff in early/mid veg. This should achieve better results the next time round. She was entirely untrained and allowed to stretch to her highest height. A better yield definitely would’ve been derived with some topping/mainlining and training but regardless, her freak flag flew high and She went unnoticed by unwanted eyes. We won’t be able to grow high next year due to construction next door so this may be the last time I run a skyscraper outdoor in the rear yard. 1/5 volume emojis for method because there really wasn’t any training. 2/5 coconut emojis- not for the lack of training but due to the unsupportive medium amendments like the coco. Yield🌴🌴🌴 And now the part we all seem to measure with great expectation. The expectation in this case was to pull 9-12oz off this girl and we fell well short of that. For the reasons mentioned above as well as the fact that she was putting at least some of her efforts into seed production too. We spotted it pretty early on in flower and some stalks started showing signs of ball formation that every grower fears. I was really concerned she’d be a full on hermie but this didn’t happen and it seems it was just localized pollination. Probably due to an occasional, randy bumblebee that had come from elsewhere. It’s not all bad at all and we did pull a few seeds off of her that we’ll give a shot to in the future I think👍. Final yield - 7.18oz. I’m never going to complain about a quarter pound off a plant that needed almost no maintenance whatsoever👍. 3 palm tree emojis for not going full hermie and putting out enough of this magically intense bud to share with friends and family👍 Props As always, big shout-out thank you to GD for making this site accessible to us. There’s simply no better way to track a grow day-by-day than this platform. Gotta thank everyone who swung in and rung in with a like or comment too. Some awesome folks on this site for sure. Great discussion and now that the harvest season is coming to a close I hope to be lurking around for interesting potential strains and creepn on everyone else’s plants. Happy grow’n folks - all the plants made it to the chopping block this year so we’re lookn forward to a very relaxing winter.👊😎👊😎👊
