Hello Diary. The first week of vegetation is over. The plants thrive nicely, look healthy and satisfied. 😀 Purple Punch # 1 grew 11 cm in the first week of vegetation while Purple Punch # 2 reached 7 cm. I remind you that I had to repeat the germination of another Purple Punch, so it’s lower. In addition to the nutrients that I mixed into the soil at planting, I started adding BioBizz’s Root-Juice. I regulate the humidity with a humidifier, so the humidity varies between 50% and 60%. With Purple Punch on the “Farm” there is also one Watermelon Auto that keeps them company. Let’s see what the first week looked like. 27/01/2021 - Day 1. Official first day of vegetation. 29/01/2021 - Day 3. Watering. I prepared 4 liters of water but each plant got about 1 liter. p.H. I regulated with Plagron’s Lemon Kick at 6.1 and added 4ml / lit Root-Juice from BioBizz. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 22.9 degrees and 50% humidity. 02/02/2021 - Day 7. Photographing and watering. After the photo shoot, I watered the plants, each getting about 1.5 lit. This time I didn't add any extras I just adjusted the p.H to 6.3. and the water temperature was 20.2 degrees. 21/08/2023 I decided to trim the yellow tips on the large leaves because some rather concerning black spots were starting to appear on those yellow areas. I also trimmed the small yellowed leaves (even though they didn't seem to have these black dots) I am very pleased with the outcome of #3, I will now always use LST for my future grows and not ScrOG as I said last week. I don't expect to end up with huge buds due to the lack of fertilizer, which is why I plan to use Root Juice, BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax, and BioHeaven from BioBizz in my next grow. I will also need an oscillating fan, having to move it around to prevent some burns on the leaves is quite annoying. I would like to find one smaller than 15CM, but I don't think it's possible. The only ones in this case are battery-operated and not oscillating. I don't know why the buds of #2 have such long hairs. 25/08/2023 I received my magnifying glass, it's not meant to be put on a phone, but I still managed to take these photos at x60 magnification (I have a x90 magnifying glass, but it's impossible to take good photos with it). You don't see much in some photos at x60 magnification, but like everything else, I will improve over the weeks.

Buds are in full stack mode, and is thriving. A stormy and rainy week overall but bursts of powerful sun. I did not need to water but I made some compost tea and fed the roots after I topped off with the leftovers from the brew. Smell is already getting fruity and spicy.

Room setup rundown, examples of bud, et al in pictures... Seedlings/Clones lights - Viparspectra XS1500. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. They come in different shapes, too. Basic process The little light takes care of seedlings in 2.5" wide seedling pots until first up-pot. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.

Day 73, 25th of November 2020: Hi! Well they are getting nice maturing buds getting bigger and all good. I love the red colour of the Red Hot Cookies. Unfortunately, Tropicanna Poison and Red Mandarnine does not show any signs of purple or red colour. Kalini Asia neither albeit, the bonsai version gets purple. Gelato is little beauty. So yes, basically not much to say. Fertilization is still the same every second day with the ratio and mixture above stated. The lamp is on 11.15 min and off 12.45 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -45 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.15 pm.

Greetings everyone, I hope everyone is doing well on this wonderful Wednesday! Ran into issues this week, discovered I added extra nutrients to my soil that I didn't need (N,P) and dropped the ph of the soil to below 5.5. I had seen minor deficiencies showing from nutrient lockout perhaps due to low ph so I watered with a good amount of plain de-chlorinated tap water at 7.5 to offset the low ph. It helped a lot! the plats perked back up and were looking much better and grew a bunch at week 4 start but now in the last few days 1 of the 5 is showing the start of some serious stress. Many of her tops have burn't leaf tips which looks very much like nutrient burn. likely excess Phosphorus. This week still working on upwards growth feeding at a higher ph probably 7.0 next watering and hoping for improvement. If not I will have to flush the one plant at least. I hope everyone has a great week! Any comments or feedback is always appreciated =D 08/19/2020 - Start of week, Journal edit + pics 08/20/2020 - Awoke to visible progression of burnt tips so regretfully flushed the one plant with 7.0 ph water until the water ran clear approx 10 gallons for 6 gallons of soil in 7 gallon bucket. She looks burnt and waterlogged but i think she will recover. 08/21/2020 - Flushed the other 3 plants as well All show signs of damage. =( 08/22/2020 - Plant health continues to deteriorate although new growth looks like it may be healthier. Time will tell... 08/24/2020 - Damage finally stopped progressing. New leaf growth is healthy, Cut off dead material growth stalled a bit but they look like they will be fine. 08/24/2020 - Put pheno #5 out on the balcony to flower might be too late to finish. It is an experiment. She looks beautiful. 08/24/2020 - Installed the SCROG net into the tent. tallest plant is 2" away from the screen.

Day one of week five! 19th September! Small amount of defoliation today as some leaves had been laying on the soil and were turning yellow. Other than that the girls look good I think. A little more LST but think Ive got a good even spread so far.. 🤞🏼 Nutes gone in today Biobizz: Grow/Bloom/TopMax all at 1ml per litre.. Day 3 of week 5! Update 21st September: Nutes gone in again today BioBizz Grow/bloom/Top Max all at 1ml per litre... Starting to see signs of filtered water deficiencies so CalMag going in on next feed @ 1ml/l. Wasn’t sure if my water filter was much cop but looks like it’s better than I thought. Wish I’d gone with my gut and started the CalMag earlier! Other than that I’m giving them a couple more weeks of veg and then we’re going to flower 🌷 all being well 🤞🏼❤️ Day 4 UPDATE: 22nd Sept. More LST to keep things all the same height and encourage more new growth sites..
