Here we are, last week of feeding! She has been showing the first ambers begining of the week so I don't want to wait too long before harvest. Week 11 will be flush week. I really love this pheno; how it looks, smells and I hope tastes! The buds have nicely grown in size this last two week and trimming should be quite easy on this one! 😘 I realize I did't take global pics this week so next week before harvest I'll make plenty of them. But, I made a video attempt trying to film in macro and I already feel sorry for those of you that will get sick watching it... 😨 With this level of zoom it is so difficult to have a smooth travelling and no shaking, especially when you have to manually live focus. I will improve my skills for the harvest video!

So flower has seemed very slow. We are on day 60 of flower, and they are NOT ready. The past two weeks the pH has been dropping tremendously every day. I couldn’t imagine it would be a root issue since I use hydroguard and we have a chiller set at 67 degrees, plus the plants look healthy! So I did my research and tried everything. Finally I decided to go ahead and treat with hydrogen peroxide because nothing else was helping, and Bam! Stable pH! Lesson learned. I hope the plants now start putting on weight over the next week and maturing. I was hoping to flush in a week, but I will just base it off what they are telling me.

Week 1: All the seeds popped within 4-5 days. Everything is looking good and they are all happy. I moved them into the 2x4 tent with a Mars 300 led. I’ve sprayed daily with plain water with a couple drops of voodoo juice. They are all starting on their first set of leaves. Nothing much going on at this moment. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 78 - Starting week 12 and tonight is her last night night and she’ll get the axe tomorrow. She’s sitting at about 30-35% amber and looking forward to her finishing up and trying this one. Day 79 - She’s all chopped up and into the drying box for the next 7-10 days. She was a beauty and ended up with 357 grams of wet bud. I’ll finalize the harvest when she’s dried and ready for cure.

Welp. I honestly didn't expect this. As I have mentioned in previous posts, this plant was no longer on its own timeline, the next plant was going to decide. In addition to this, I had just done a heavy defol and put the leaves and 3 small nugs in my cannatrol. The cannatrol still had 2 days before finishing its dry, so this ended up being interrupted. In some unfortunate mishap, as shown in the pictures, my light was scheduled to turn off at 5am. The device said it did, but as you see in the graph, it stayed on until I had caught it at 12:24pm. I simply disconnected the usbc from the outlet, reconnected it, my light kicked on for a sec, then back off. I think messing with my dehumidifier lastnight glitched the system and I should've done a reset when I was done messing with it. With the stress already playing a chance at mutations, the additional light didnt help. No hurt feelings here. With the weight off the bud and the sugar leaves, my cannatrol is maxed. 2.2 lbs of wet weight is all it can take, and I am pushing that. 900 grams of wet, partially trimmed buds impressed me! Not sure the sugar leave weight. Setting cannatrol to dry for 5 days and cure for 25. I know it can go way quicker, but I read a study about these settings and want to see if it stands any truth. Smoke report and dry weight coming soon!

Week 11 🗓️November 15: It’s freezing outside! 3°C in the morning, 15°C in the garage (grow tent). For the moment, I have around 20°C in the growing room when lights are on.

🌿 Sour Diesel — Catch-Up Report (Weeks 2.5 → 4 | 12/12 Transition) First — a quick word to everyone following the diary We want to start this update by apologizing for doing a two-and-a-half week report in one go. This is not a change in transparency or process — it’s simply to bring Sour Diesel back in sync with the rest of the room. All plants are evolving under the same tent, same environment, same rhythm. Having one diary lag behind doesn’t serve the journey — so we’re catching her up, cleanly and honestly. Thank you for understanding 💚 ⸻ 🌱 General Behavior & Growth Sour Diesel has been growing beautifully. • Strong, healthy structure • Deep green, lush foliage • No stress signals • Calm, confident growth She transitioned into 12/12 smoothly and is now fully sharing the same rhythm as the rest of the room. ⸻ ✋ Training Response (Week 3) Training started in Week 3, using only: • leaf tucking • gentle leaf bending No aggressive techniques. Her response was excellent. By the end of Week 4: • She became noticeably bushier • Leaves increased in size • Side branches began to push outward and upward • Branch length reached roughly 4–5 fingers, which is perfect for this stage Nothing exaggerated, nothing forced — just natural structure opening up. ⸻ 🌸 Flowering Signals (or lack of — and why that’s okay) Despite being under 12/12: • No visible flowering signs yet • No pistils • No true flip signals This is expected. Why? • She had ~15 days of 18/6 vegetative phase • She’s now completing ~2 weeks of 12/12 • Sour Diesel often hesitates, then commits fully She feels close — almost like she’s thinking about it. We expect clear signs very soon, likely at the start of the next week. Ending this week: ➡️ bushier ➡️ more structured ➡️ clearly preparing ⸻ Nutrition & Autopot Reality (Important Note) She is currently being fed the same vegetative recipe, with one key adjustment. Autopots & organics — the reality Some of the inputs we normally use are organic / biological. These work beautifully with: • some gravity feeding • hand watering • living solutions But they do NOT work well in irrigation systems like Autopots. Why: • Living inputs can settle • Cause build-ups • Create pH fluctuations • Reduce line consistency • “Alive” water doesn’t like being stored or recirculated So for now: What she’s receiving • Plagron Terra Grow only in the Autopot system • EC lowered to 0.8 (instead of 1.0) • Even though NPK is present, we keep EC conservative • No boosters in the reservoir Occasional top feeding Once or twice, when watering the rest of the room: • She received the full recipe via top watering • This is likely how we’ll continue once demand increases Flower will bring higher needs — we’ll adapt when she asks, not before. ⸻ 🌬️ Environment No changes here: • Temperatures stable • Humidity stable • Airflow unchanged Everything remains identical to the rest of the room, so no need to repeat values. ⸻ 👑 What to Expect / What Not to Expect Expect: • A clear flip soon • Stretch after commitment • More expressive structure than some of the others • Increased nutrient demand once flowering starts Do NOT expect: • Instant pistils just because she’s in 12/12 • Heavy defoliation yet • Aggressive feeding right now • Identical behavior to other cultivars Sour Diesel does things her way — and she’s doing them well. ⸻ 🌿 Final Notes She’s healthy. She’s calm. She’s aligned with the room now. This Queen is not late — she’s intentional. Thank you to everyone following this journey, and thank you for allowing us to keep the diary honest, educational, and paced by the plant — not the calendar. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 📸 P.S. – The Eye Behind the Lens All photos in this diary (for now — except for the ones showing the camera, which I took with an iPhone) are taken with a Sony A6700 paired with a Sony full-frame macro lens and a few more. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. Week 8 of our Lego Ninja Tropical Tangie Run has been an incredible rollercoaster of growth and excitement. Our Tangie is evolving into a true botanical ninja superstar! With her rapid growth, I made a bold decision to give her a full defoliation! What does this mean? Well, it's like a ninja makeover, where we removed all the leaves from her stems. Don't worry, it might sound drastic, but it's a ninja-approved technique used to maximize her potential. During this process, I carefully removed every leaf, allowing more light to reach the lower branches and bud sites. It's like clearing the path for her to channel all her energy into producing top-quality buds. Our Tangie is a champion, and she took this defoliation challenge like a true ninja warrior! After the defoliation, I was amazed to see how quickly she bounced back. She's incredibly resilient! You wouldn't even notice she underwent such a transformation; the grow room is already looking lush and vibrant again. Now, with all the unnecessary leaves gone, she can focus her energy on producing larger, denser, and more potent buds. It's like giving her a clear ninja path to success! But let's not forget the most important part—nutrition. With her full defoliation, it's essential to provide her with the perfect fuel for her ninja journey. I continue to rely on the powerful Aptus All-in-One Pellets, which act as her trusty ninja power capsules, delivering all the essential nutrients she needs with each watering. The canopy is filling up once again, and our Tangie is now ready to continue her incredible growth journey. The room looks as if no defoliation ever happened! Thanks to the support and fantastic products from Aptus Holland, Dutch Passion, and Grow Diaries, our Tangie keeps showing us her ninja potential. Stay tuned for the next update, where we'll dive deeper into our Tangie's growth and unveil more ninja training techniques. Keep cultivating with joy, embrace the ninja spirit, and remember, with love and passion, anything is possible in the world of growing! Compost tea turned out well, let it go for 26 hours total and geared it towards fungal. Also took some soil samples several days later around the stalks and found a lot of nematodes and protozoa which is what you want to see. Lots of different types of nematodes so what your looking for are the bacterial feeders (there are charts online that show you how to identify them). Mycorrhizae can be identified by it's dark colour, uniformity and segmented nature. Testate amoebas live in a translucent shell like a snail and are easy to spot but hard to spot moving due to my shitty microscope, but look for the tentacles. Also found some eggs with movement inside, no idea what they are but they have vacuoles and flagella. She is really getting sticky and smelly now; berries with herb notes. You can see the resin stretching over the trichomes in the last pic. No signs of senescence yet so I'm not going to feed them, they should have plenty of food anyway as this is a second run of the same soil.
