This one had been a loooong time coming. We ran this outside last year and that plant was gonna be a huge yield winner all around. Sadly, my douche bag neighbours kid (who has now left the area for his own safety) ripped our plants in mid-September about half way through bloom. 5 months of work down the drain but at least they weren’t getting high off the underdeveloped budlets - pricks. While she didn’t perform nearly as well as the last for a number of reasons, I can however say that the results (where it counts😉) were stellar. Reserva Privada genetics are not cheap and for good reason - this stuff is top drawer all the way👌🤘👌. Taste & Smell: 🍭🍭🍭 Effects: 🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭 If you’re a big fan of that classic kush taste and smell then you’ll love this one. She’s not as fragrant or floral as I had hoped but were not through cure yet and the kush in ‘er is definitely noticeable. 3/5 for this as I’ve had some wayyyy better taste/smell product in comparison. Where she shines is where it counts though. The effects of this strain are nothing short of insane!🤩🙃🤩. It takes a lot to put me on my ass and this one does it every time. Honestly, it’s like being a teenager with extremely low tolerance again. Takes about 10-15 minutes to kick in but when it does I can’t even remember my name. What’s really surprising is how long the effects last for. At least a solid 2.5 hours of high as f**k awesomeness and a chill come down through the rest of the evening👌. I’d call it full body stone euphoria and heavy cerebral confusion - the kind of effects I would’ve expected out of a GG strain but far more intense👍. Fall off your chair strength ganja boi! 5/5 lollipop emojis here - first time enjoying a Skywalker blend and the classic effects of the kush is the icing on the cake, straw that stirs the drink, engine that drives the bus - I’m stoned right now so feel free to come up with another cheesy cliche on your own😉👍.

Nutes 🍭 As above, she simply needed more than I gave her. She did get a compost tea and She was spiked with botanicare base flower nutes when she hit transition but only about once a week. If I’d hit her with it every other watering, results would’ve been dramatically different in terms of yield. Ran out of a crucial ingredient for the compost tea too so she didn’t get the charges she needed through the stretch either. 1/5 lollipops for testing the approach this year. Valuable insight has however been achieved for the next run👍.

Method 🎚️ Medium: 🥥🥥 We ran this one in an even parts soil, compost, coco and purlite mix. The hope was to minimize required nute feedings and maintenance. The addition of nute nuetral coco proved to be somewhat of a mistake and may have contributed to some unnecessary plant stress when she used up all the available natural nutes in the soil and compost. There simply wasn’t enough good stuff in the medium to see her happily through the cycle without extra supplementation. I’d do this again but leave out the coco and layer the compost at the bottom with minimal medium saturation and runoff in early/mid veg. This should achieve better results the next time round. She was entirely untrained and allowed to stretch to her highest height. A better yield definitely would’ve been derived with some topping/mainlining and training but regardless, her freak flag flew high and She went unnoticed by unwanted eyes. We won’t be able to grow high next year due to construction next door so this may be the last time I run a skyscraper outdoor in the rear yard. 1/5 volume emojis for method because there really wasn’t any training. 2/5 coconut emojis- not for the lack of training but due to the unsupportive medium amendments like the coco. Yield🌴🌴🌴 And now the part we all seem to measure with great expectation. The expectation in this case was to pull 9-12oz off this girl and we fell well short of that. For the reasons mentioned above as well as the fact that she was putting at least some of her efforts into seed production too. We spotted it pretty early on in flower and some stalks started showing signs of ball formation that every grower fears. I was really concerned she’d be a full on hermie but this didn’t happen and it seems it was just localized pollination. Probably due to an occasional, randy bumblebee that had come from elsewhere. It’s not all bad at all and we did pull a few seeds off of her that we’ll give a shot to in the future I think👍. Final yield - 7.18oz. I’m never going to complain about a quarter pound off a plant that needed almost no maintenance whatsoever👍. 3 palm tree emojis for not going full hermie and putting out enough of this magically intense bud to share with friends and family👍 Props As always, big shout-out thank you to GD for making this site accessible to us. There’s simply no better way to track a grow day-by-day than this platform. Gotta thank everyone who swung in and rung in with a like or comment too. Some awesome folks on this site for sure. Great discussion and now that the harvest season is coming to a close I hope to be lurking around for interesting potential strains and creepn on everyone else’s plants. Happy grow’n folks - all the plants made it to the chopping block this year so we’re lookn forward to a very relaxing winter.👊😎👊😎👊

Seeds are enevitable outside, least my neck of the woods. Haven’t had a hermie for a few years, but always get a seed or more. I blame those big ass bubble bees. I seem em Lansing on buds caked in pollen. Bastards 😊 That’s and I’ve heard that with the hemp farms springing up, we’re getting rogue hemp pollen. Apparently it can travel far. God speed on the nana watch, maybe she was just confused for a sec 😏

@TheBudWhisperer, ha then bring lots of fire. I was reading some articles around the fam bill in the US. Since they descheduled hemp, they have seen a natural pollination happening on gorilla grows and outdoor farms. Apparently pollen can travel up to 1500km. I’m skeptical, but on a good wind? I had 20 seeds or more on last years crop and couldn’t figure it out. Could be rogue pollen in the wind, but I suspect the bees. Their body’s are designed to hold pollen so makes sense that if they come into any male seed, we see a few seeds.

@sKitzO, that’s probably the most reassuring comment I could’ve asked for bro. I’ve been freakn out about it and thankfully haven’t found any more. Never had a plant go full hermie myself and was surprised that there weren’t more on er. The bumble bees would certainly explain it, given that it’s very localized. Now let’s just pray there aren’t any hemp farms in the area or I might have to start sett’n Fires! 😂

@Experimentgreen, @tryhard_grower, no doubt! Completely different pheno compared to the one I grew out last year. She looks almost like a blackberry strain from a distance. Either way, she’s coming down end of this week I think so here’s to hoping for a strong finish👍. Thanks again for the look dudes👊👊👊

Very nice looking plant, impressive! Is this one of those strains that gives off a big scent? If it is, that will be a great sent in the backyard!
TheBudWhisperer
TheBudWhisperercommented5 years ago
@BarrieGrower, of the 3 she’s definitely the stinkiest by far. The scent and frost has only recently come on. Assuming the weather holds without storms, she should have no problem getting to the finish. Can’t say the same for the others which are slightly behind her and still need a lot of flower time. Here’s hoping the frost stays away cuz these girls aren’t moveable🤞
