So tomorrow is the day, two plants will remain in Moya, prob Jool and Zhaan 2/7 Aeryn is in flower tent flipped to 12-12 Jool and Zhaan in small tent, Moya, also flipped to 12-12 Here we go Feed set as above, keeping levels low at this point 2/8 Second day May reduce feed a bit, white tips One time feed of Kangaroots 10ml/gal Keeping things defoliated so the middle gets lots of light 2/8 Last attempt to try and get rid of those white tips. Further reduced feed but added just a touch of cal-mag to make up for it. If this doesnt work I am just feeding them and ignoring the tips. Flowering is starting to show, more on Aeryn being under the HPS than Jool and Zhaan under the LEDs. Continuing to defoliate as needed to keep bud sites in light. 2/10 Bringing down the nuets to under 500ppm did the trick on the white tips but can not leave things there so back to some sane level and I am just going to ignore it. Stretch is starting for real 😳 2/11 Since the tip burning is an issue with N, I am going to move the girls to all bloom tomorrow with today as a transition. Strain is absolutely sensitive to Nitrogen.

I don’t know where I really went wrong, pretty sure it’s some type of nutrient burn. 100% organic nutrients a 645 blend OmRI listed. I’m using the same organic blend on all of my trees and this is the only one that looks like that, using the HLG 550s temperatures have stayed under 80° and above 70 with more than sufficient airflow!

The week was partly sunny and partly rainy and our plants had to be canopied on the balcony nearly every day. Rare sunny hours. Humidity is mostly ok, but I‘m checking now very regular if the plant need to be harvested. The flowers are covered in trichomes, she produces again and again pistills, the larger fan leaves loose a bit their color. No amber but blue trichomes. Pure rainwater in the morning and in the evening. Flushing first time with a good drainage. She smells very intense, like a mandarin juice in February: sweet, aromatic with a hazy undertone. ------GENERAL COMMENT------ Flush time, within the end of this week is now flush time. To summary this week i just kept on my feeding habits, Water with base > Water with boosters, alternating Recharge. My led seams to be crashing a bit, the colors are not stable as is possible to see in the timelapse. Trichomes are mostly cloudy, with a slight amber. 9 weeks flowering time will be exact, just need time to flush, they are maturing fast fast, hairs are getting orange in a blink. ------SM.BB COMMENT------ The buds are very imponent and bulky, with a lot of resin, the smell is sweet and fruty with a bit of pine.

Looks good, tastes better but the yield was poor and I put this down to the algae and the fact it’s my first time growing in flood and drain, first time using Canna Coco A&B & first time trying loads of small plants to try and achieve the same yield as a few big one. You live and you learn

Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Buena semana para estas nenas,creciendo de manera impresionante y con unas buenos brazos, teniendo algunos problemas con las hojas, resuelta que el humificador el agua no era purificada lo que implicó que las hojas de las niñas se estaba llenando de mucho calcio que no la dejaba respirar bien, trate de quitarle las manchas y quedo peor, pero de todo se aprende, cambie el 💧 a agua purificada y listo aunque algunas quedaron manchadas 🔮del resto quedando hermosas muy sanas y con tallos muy fuertes 🌾seguiré informando como van estas nenas 🍃

My Purple Kush is still the little guy of the group. It's so small, I don't think it's even started flowering yet, but that's alright! It'll have plenty of time to mature and do its thing. I'm guessing it'll probably be ready for harvest a couple of weeks after the others. I'm excited to see how this one turns out – Purple Kush is known for its beautiful colors and relaxing effects, so I've got high hopes! This past week has been a whirlwind of work, leaving little time for anything else. My phone's camera roll is sadly neglected, with only a few snapshots to show for it. But finally, I'm finding a moment to catch up on my grow diaries. It's been exciting to see the progress, even if it's just through photos. I'm looking forward to documenting the next stage!

In this week I pulled out a few males, see video with male parts. All plants are seeing an explosion of growth and have all recieved first topping with some plants already being topped for the second time at the point in the grow. All plants receive teas at every feeding never feeding the plants only feeding the soil

Week 9: Growth, Clones, and Preparing for Buds This week brought some important changes to the grow! The plants stretched significantly, taking advantage of the rainy weather, despite the temperature fluctuations. Overall, the conditions are supporting their development well. Notes: I made a few more clones, and so far, all of them are thriving. It's exciting to see a 100% survival rate for the clones so far. Out of the 12 plants, I identified three males. Two of them have started opening their pollen sacs, and I’ve begun collecting. The pollen is being stored in the freezer for future breeding projects. I did a light defoliation to improve light penetration to the lower branches, which should help promote even growth.

Plant is growing well. Probably the prettiest one outta the bunch so far.

3/25/21 - Today I fed with a little bit of Big Bloom. They really seem to respond well to it. 3/26/21 - They look great! No feeding today. I removed the humidity dome today. We are transplanting into the grow closet on 4/01/21. They will be in the grow closet until harvest under LED. 3/27/21 - Autopilot today. No feeding. I’ll feed tomorrow with more Big Bloom. They could be transplanted today but we are going to run the rest of this week. 3/28/21 - Fed with Big Bloom. All plants have roots coming out of the bottom of the cups. We’ll be moving them to 5 gallon fabric pots in a few days. 3/29/21 - No water today. They all look good. Transplant day is coming! 3/30/21 - I put some water in the tray so the plants could get water if needed. I don’t think they need any water today. 3/31/21 - I gave each plant a small feeding of Big Bloom. Tomorrow they will be transplanted into 5 gallon fabric pots of Fox Farm Ocean Forest and be given water for at least 2 weeks. See ya on week 4!
