The Permanent Markers are finally taking off! They've at least doubled in height since last week. Of course, they're still really small, but it's cool to see them finally getting going. They look healthy and are developing nicely. Well, another year has come and gone. Yesterday was New Year's Eve, and I want to wish all of you a happy and healthy 2025. i accidently bought some unbuffered coco and mixed it with my ussual earth, had major calmag problems in mid-flower but i´m still pleased with the results...also had a little trouble with mold at the end due to bad weather and high humidity in the final weeks of the grow, had to remove a few buds and harvest early @ day 55 of flower....but there's still alot of great looking buds left for me to enjoy and all look mostly done... Just harvested and hung them upside down, currently drying them at constant 19.5-20.5°C and 50-60% RH..will update as soon as they are dry

High GD community Week 16, Zuchinis all around, tomatoes getting ready on a daily. Cucumbers are getting almost mature proportions. Everything going well. Terra preta Location: center perma garden Surface: 125cm x 105cm Depth: 115cm The hole was dug out over 3 days, it were very sunny days. 😅 Theres mostly loamsand with a small sandloam bottom that was very hard. The sand was also very compressed and hard. The top layer is this grey dusty soil of about 40cm deep. At the bottom theres pure sand thats soft, easy drainable. First step is to fill up the entire bottom with fine chopped wood, progressively using bigger pieces of wood. I try to use some hardwood like oak to for its extra K (potassium = pot ash). A bit of charcoal to. This will take the entire first day, bcs it needs to have a minimal ticknes of pure ashes of around 5cm. Otherwise, after compressing it with the upcoming layers, the ash-line would almost disappear. Not all the wood needs to be burned entirely. Its a first layer with lots of N and K. Bones can be used to in the fire making the NPK complete. But it can be added also as a separated layer. I dont have that much bone material because my 2 dogs, or eating, or burry them somewere. Little warning at the end, be aware of your local laws applied to open fires. 😅😉 After a good burn ive got between 8 and 12cm of ashes in total over the entire surface. A small layer of soil (5cm) is put on top of that. Theres no need to harden out that layer, pressure will to the work and the layers will compress over time into ideal circumstances. On to the next layer!! Next is a layer of the compost, but the part that isnt allready decomposed. Its green/brown/yellow of color. And a bit of everything, grass, weeds, leafs and some thin branches. Another layer soil to cover that up. Now i formed a thin layer of chopped(10mm) wood(beech), just enough to make a thin,almost 1 piece high, layer. On to this i added a complete wheelbarrel of compost(black) with small pieces of still not completly decomposed materials. Lots of worms here. On that, you guessed it, an other layer of soil. I try to have both types of soil in that mix, the almost pure sand and the more grey type. Next, back to the beech. This time the rest of the bag follows. Theres a good layer of around 3cm deep. On this ive layed down some new small woodsticks to make a small fire again. Starting at the center and adding some last branches i found. It turned out really smoky!! Half way the burn ive opend the core of the fire, trying to spread the small pieces of char over the complete surface. After that, i added for the first time some water here. And an other layer of soil again, this is just covering up each time. Max 5cm!! Now we are at the upper half of the pit. Still 50cm to go. Now ive added some compost again, the green/brown/yellow one, with on top of that, a 15 liter bucket with compressed bokashi fermentated kitchen leftovers. Making a layer out of that and some fresh bokashi juice with 10 liters of water to drain those benificial bacteria into to compost layer just underneath it. This layer is almost 20cm tick. Again, yeah, soil, 5cm. Ive bought some blond peat to at to to toplayers. Last 25 to 30cm of soil, is a mix of the peat(20%) and the two other types of soil. First ill do tiny layers of each, last 10cm i try to mix it. And to finish the job, ive took some 100% reused and composed soil with some perlite in it from past use. I havent watered a lot, but the meteo predicts a good amount of water in the upcoming days. The soil that stayed and didnt get back to its original place, ive used to make a new top layer on the rest of the mini field. I havent used clay because it was hard to find or just to expensive. Beside the peat(250l), i didnt buy anything. So its labor intensive, but real cheap. The flowers start to grow and are getting well whites. My first plant got a problem, he got yellow tip of leaves probably too much nutriment, but it is strange, because he get exactly the same as the other. Maybe I defoliated too much...i give him a stand-by. Otherwhise everything is ok, not easy to keep them in shape

Day 15 🌱 everything is going well but I have accidentally decapitated N1, in reality I had topping already N3 but with N1 I broke without doing it on purpose. hope for the best. Day 16🌱 wow today N1 I see it well it does not seem to have accused the topping. everything seems to be going well for N3 too, he seems to be growing very strong. N2 is in excellent condition. Day 18 🌱 i am struggling a bit with "lst" but i guess because i started early. otherwise they seem to be growing well Day 20 🌱 I let them rest for two days. some training again today, they look fit and grow great. Day 21🌱 N1 and N3 grow great and look great. N2 grows well but has yellowed leaf tips as if I had given too much fertilizer, I think due to the pre-fertilized soil. Still no sign of flowering. Transplanted Novarine plant 2 into a 50-liters container. The spot is under a big shorea plant. Shorea is a South East Asian medicinal tree. This is minimum light spot in my yard. Hope she would flower. I choose plant 2 because I think plant 1 will stretch even further. Plant 1 was also moved to a shaded spot under an tree jasmin. This Millingtonia, Indian cork tree. I have sweet flowers all year round. People told me that dried tree jasmine flower mixed well with weed and is good for people with ashma and sinus. Kind of useless since why would asthmatic people even smoke? Plant 3 is my back up until I come up with a way to put her into flowers. Clone are doing nicely. And I am growing 3 clones from plant 1 and only one clone from plant 2. I’ll be donating the rest to friends with weight and blood sugar issues. By year end, I probable keep only one or two clones. One clone from bigger branch is growing just fine without any benefit form lighted grow box. Feeding plants with mid-level dose of cow manure tea and earth worm casting tea to keep leaves healthy. They should have been given a light dose of fertilizer. However, the flowering purslane are also eating and feeding soil microbes. Got my paws on triancontanol and brassinolide. Perhaps these will jolt Novarine THCV into flowering. Triacontanol won't dissolve in neither water nor alcohol. And it is emulsified with polysobate. Mixing of Triacontanol Triacontanol does not dissolve in polysorbate. It is rather emulsified. Means that it need to be melt and there need to be water added. My steps, 1) heated 70 grams of polysorbate in a big heat resistance glass cup. I used a beaker. Mix in 5 grams of triacontanol. And it does not melt. 2) Put in 100 cc of water and put in microwave. After the mix is boiled, triacontanol melt. There is foam. So a bigger cup and a spillage plate would prevent problem with my better half. 3) After heated, the mix is better. Then I added hot water from to make total 250 CC of solution. Then, the mix is clear. 4) Label the dose with pencil. This works better than labeling with ink. I use 5 cc at a time for my entire garden. 250 CC would last me 50 doses. No need to buy so much. This is cheap. Let’s see next week how effective they are.

As soon as I got these seeds I dropped them in a bowl of water @10am on April 30th. Planted directly into soil 7pm at sundown on the 30th. I wet the soil before planting. We had good temperature for germination week. The evenings were still lower 60's but the days warmed up above 70 °F. May 1st it was cloudy but 80° F. We had good sunshine on the 2nd. We received a heavy rain in the afternoon and intermittently that night into the morning of the 3rd. Our temps cooled off with the rain and we didn't get above 72° F on the 3rd. Two popped on the 3rd and the last one on the 4th. It was a little wetter than I prefer, but our soil drained well and fastbuds genetics can handle the less than perfect condition. The above listed nutrients were premixed into the soil at the listed rates per gallon of soil.
