Week 1 of the latest cycle and starting out with some new hardware and an expanded grow printšŸ‘. We’re running 4 autos via a recirculating Dutch bucket system. First time on a dutchy so it’s gonna be interesting to see how it stacks up against DWC. I’ll give a full rundown on the system I’ve cobbled together on the next update. So far - all seedlings have germ’d without issue using the standard p-towel method. Why more people don’t use this method on GD is beyond me. It’s so reliable that some breeders even warranty your seeds if you use this method and more than 1 seed fails to crack. We’ve got little sprouts coming up now and it’s all just waiting for those first couple fan leaves to come out and those roots to run to the bottom of each bucket. They’ve been placed in root riot cubes (essentially a version of rapid rooters) like most of our runs and I’d recommend their use with all autos. Time and stress on young autos is key so they need the absolute best start you can give themšŸ‘Œ. End of week update - looks like we got 4 quality little seedlings herešŸ‘. Alls good other than battling a ph issue for most of the week. Keeps spiking overnight for no real reason - hopefully it’ll even out and isn’t the early sign of a major problemšŸ¤ž. Background The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was šŸ”„. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...šŸ˜‰. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a gošŸ‘. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydrošŸ‘Š. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or portšŸ‘. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobingšŸ‘. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an ā€œentry-levelā€ fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixturešŸ‘. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. This week, I introduced the Autopot system, letting our green friend decide when and how much to drink. It's like giving her the keys to the watering kingdom, and she's embracing the freedom beautifully. Now, let's dissect the nutrient symphony that's been playing in the background: Regulator (0.15ml/L): Our humidity maestro continues to dance with the elements, ensuring a stress-free environment for our plant. The monoclinic acid is working its magic, and our Big Cheese Auto is sipping contentedly in her newfound freedom. Calmag (0.25ml/L): Calmag, our nutrient bodyguard, remains on duty. This week, it's all about maintaining that structural integrity as our plant starts gearing up for more vigorous growth. Strong stems, sturdy leaves – the foundations of greatness. things are still on the go..Looking at the tricomes the are still clear with hints of cloudy.. Coming along pretty well. Im just watering with plain water now and just enough for a light runoff. Ec is low already and I don't think I can get it to anything less. Just doing routine maintenence this week. There has been no change in the colour of the leaves and this is the 11th day of. plain water.. Its all a waiting game.. I also changed the light schedule to a 11-13...... its supposed to help in trichome ripening... I hope. šŸ˜€ The vanilla Kush looks ready but I'm not sure. If anyone has an opinion on how much longer please share

Bulking quite well, she has a very strong haze smell as already mentioned she is handling everything like a champ, could not wished for a better plant :) From now on I will only give her PH 6.3 water without any additives. I believe its about 2 weeks until chop chop :)

Both plants looks pretty but they are showing some yellow/brown spots on fan leaves, so i guess the nutrients are too strong and decided to give them half of the recomendation. Also added some Hesi Boost hoping it is a good idea. Just now i can feel their smell, it is nice but not strong. I have no clue about when to harvest them but it seems like at least two weeks more. 😸

The little plant have recovered pretty well as far as I can tell... They still look a bit wrecked but this is due what they have lived through I think... Hope they have a better time ahead :) UPDATE: one of the plants seems to have fallen (eg autobended herself) to the ground but is still looking good to me... I just let her be and see what happens :)

Day 64 - she is huge! a. Kabul Bush is a monster! I can not think of a bigger stem b. she enjoys her time inside with Big Bud in buddies tent c. we wlll move her to back in barn tomorrow, should be warmer here region d. we still have at least 40 more days! Day 65 - back in barn a. she is back in the barn tent in natural air flow b. keeping temperature in barn tent above 10 degrees, kush likes cold, hoping to get some purple buds here Day 66 - growing well a. freshly cleaned DWC, the flowering nutrients are installed and being consumed, 750ppm b. flowering is def happening nicely Day 67 - buds have their stigmas out! a. flowering in 15 degrees Day 68 - environment is nice a. no photo today, no disturb environment, holding in heat Day 69 - changing to 4 hours off light a. next week will change to 4 hours of darkness during the day when it is the hottest, without vents on b. plant is very healthy, begging for more nutrients, raised it to 1000ppm. Raised the FloraBloom and KoolBloom Day 70 - growing well a. the buds are starting to grow, and get a little larger b. the extra dose of flowering nutrients she enjoys

1/25/2024 Vegetation Week 3 Day 1- took 2 Tops today and cleaned up a few lower leaves that were hanging down. The FiM seems to have worked well and looks like I have three branches coming in where it was FiMed. 1/26/2024 Vegetation Week 3 Day 2- took 2 Tops from the sides and took a little of the foliage that was touching the lid. She seems to be doing very well.. Water change day tomorrow.. YAY!! will get a good picture of the roots and see how she is doing. 1/27/2024 Vegetation Week 3 Day 3- Water Change Day! I noticed a slight red coming in on the STEMS which I added a pinch of EPSOM salt to help correct. I added 36 Gallons of Water I added the following Nutes: Silica = .5Mil/Gal= 18Mil CalMag= .75Mil/Gal= 27Mil FloraMicro = 4.2Mil/Gal= 187Mil FloraGro= 3.8Mil/Gal= 137Mil FLoraBloom= 3.0Mil/Gal= 108Mil ORCA = .5Mil/Gal= 18Mil EPSOM- 1 big pinch 1/28/2024 Vegetation Week 3 Day 4- I cleaned her up just a little bit on stuff hanging down. I also made sure the PH is balanced so she could soak up the New Nutes. 1/29/2024 Vegetation Week 3 Day 5- I Got sick, Possibly food poisoned.. Luckily for me the system was able to do what it do and hold it down until I was feeling better. 1/30/2024 Vegetation Week 3 Day 6- I was still to sick to go to my grow room... Possibly food poisoned.. Luckily for me the system was able to do what it do and hold it down until I was feeling better. 1/31/2024 Vegetation Week 3 Day 7- First day back.. Her PH was down to 5.72 so I raised the PH back up closer to 6.0, I took a few pictures and got her height.. Feeling better through prayer so was able to get some pics today.

0.23v tuned to 7.83Hz Plants exposed to the Schumann resonance often show greater resistance to stress factors such as drought, diseases, and pests. Pretty neat, in the afternoon when the tent hovers around 84F the plants are šŸ™, can visually see in time around 10 minutes after I opened the tent the temp had dropped to 76 pressure was lost, she is still chilling but she doesn't quite have that perk anymore. *Salinity3.5% - 100ml H2O=100g The concentration of salt in a solution 3.5%= 3.5g in 100ml. Growing well. Not going to top or do any training, I'll let the plant do its own thing, she is constructing foundations now for what she senses ahead. Smart girl. āœØļø Let her, do her thing, let me do mine. The voltage that is needed for electrolysis to occur is called the decomposition potential. The word "lysis" means to separate or break, so in terms, electrolysis would mean "breakdown via electricity. Green hydrogen is hydrogen produced by the electrolysis of water, using renewable electricity. The production of green hydrogen causes significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions than the production of grey hydrogen, which is derived from fossil fuels without carbon capture. Electrolysis of pure water requires excess energy in the form of overpotential to overcome various activation barriers. Without the excess energy, electrolysis occurs slowly or not at all. This is in part due to the limited self-ionization of water. Pure water has an electrical conductivity of about one hundred thousandths that of seawater. Efficiency is increased through the addition of an electrolyte (such as a salt, acid or base). Photoelectrolysis of water, also known as photoelectrochemical water splitting, occurs in a photoelectrochemical cell when light is used as the energy source for the electrolysis of water, producing dihydrogen . Photoelectrolysis is sometimes known colloquially as the hydrogen holy grail for its potential to yield a viable alternative to petroleum as a source of energy. The PEC cell primarily consists of three components: the photoelectrode the electrolyte and a counter electrode. The semiconductor crucial to this process, absorbs sunlight, initiating electron excitation and subsequent water molecule splitting into hydrogen and oxygen. Water electrolysis requires a minimum potential difference of 1.23 volts, although at that voltage external heat is also required. Typically 1.5 volts is required. Biochar, a by-product of biomass pyrolysis, is typically characterized by high carbon content, aromaticity, porosity, cation exchange capacity, stability, and reactivity. The coupling of biochar oxidation reaction (BOR) with water electrolysis constitutes biochar-assisted water electrolysis (BAWE) for hydrogen production, which has been demonstrated to reduce the electricity consumption of conventional water electrolysis from 1.23v to 0.21v. Biochar particles added to the electrolyte form a two-phase solution, in which the biochar oxidation reaction (BOR) has a lower potential (0.21 V vs. RHE) than OER (1.23 V vs. RHE), reducing the energy consumption for hydrogen production via biochar-assisted water electrolysis (BAWE). BAWE produces H2 under 1 V while eliminating O2 formation: key word "eliminating". Air with a normal oxygen concentration of around 21% is not considered explosive on its own; however, if a flammable gas or vapor is present, increasing the oxygen percentage above 23.5% can significantly increase the risk of ignition and explosion due to the enriched oxygen environment. The addition of ion mediators (Fe3+/Fe2+) significantly increases BOR kinetics. Air: Nitrogen -- N2 -- 78.084% Carbon Dioxide -- CO2 -- 0.04% Hydrogen in homosphere H -- 0.00005% Hydrogen "GAS" H2 in homosphere - 0% "Nitrogen, oxygen, and argon are the three main components of Earth's atmosphere. Water concentration varies but averages around 0.25% of the atmosphere by mass. Carbon dioxide and all of the other elements and compounds are trace gases. Trace gases include the greenhouse gases carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. Except for argon, other noble gases are trace elements (these include neon, helium, krypton, and xenon). Industrial pollutants include chlorine and its compounds, fluorine and its compounds, elemental mercury vapor, sulfur dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide. Other components of Earth's atmosphere include spores, pollen, volcanic ash, and salt from sea spray." Although the CRC table does not list water vapor (H2O), air can contain as much as 5% water vapor, more commonly ranging from 1-3%. The 1-5% range places water vapor as the third most common gas (which alters the other percentages accordingly). Water content varies according to air temperature. Dry air is denser than humid air. However, sometimes humid air contains actual water droplets, which can make it more dense than humid air that only contains water vapor. The homosphere(where you live) is the portion of the atmosphere with a fairly uniform composition due to atmospheric turbulence. In contrast, the heterosphere is the part of the atmosphere where chemical composition varies mainly according to altitude. The lower portion of the heterosphere contains oxygen and nitrogen, but these heavier elements do not occur higher up. The upper heterosphere consists almost entirely of hydrogen, cool. 78%nitrogen as N2, a far too stable bond to be used by organisms. 20%oxygen 0.04%co2 0.00005% hydrogen When lightning strikes, it tears apart the bond in airborne nitrogen molecules. Those free nitrogen atoms N2 nitrites then have the chance to combine with oxygen molecules to form a compound called nitrates N3. Once formed, the nitrates are carried down to the ground becoming usable by organisms. Will it react with the oxygen in the air spontaneously, the answer is no. The mixture is chemically stable indefinitely. A mixture with air near the release point can be ignited, but if this does not happen then when its concentration gets below 4% it will be unable to carry a flame. Taking a small detour into chemistry here, a key concept to understanding the health impact of nitrogen-based compounds is knowing the difference between nitrates and nitrites. What Are Nitrates and Nitrites? A nitrite (NO2) is a nitrogen atom bonded to only two nitrogen atoms. Very strong bond A nitrate (NO3) is a nitrogen atom bonded to three oxygen atoms. Weaker bond The optimal pH for nitrate (NO3-) depends on the process and the type of bacteria involved. Day 78, 3rd of December 2020: Wao.... such a beauty so lucky I have the red pheno for my bonsai OMG.... So happy! Looks soo good šŸ‘ Great genetics Zamnesia! Nothing much to report but the buds are fattening and getting towards the end. No more epsom salt from this week and I am gonna stop giving nitrogen from the next week.... All good the lamp is now on 11 hours and off 13 hours. Every week 15 minutes was taken off and after 4 weeks here we go. Strated 12/12 and now 13/11 wanted try to imitate the nature as the light days are getting shorter. Happy Growing fellas!

Keine großen Veränderungen in der ersten Blütewoche, ich habe nur den lästigen großen Ventilator entfernt, da er mir zu viel Platz auf der Bodenfläche genommen hat und am Ende der ersten Woche habe ich das Blattwerk ein wenig ausgedünnt, mal sehen wie sich das auf die weitere Blüte auswirkt.

We've made it to day 28! - 17/12/20 The girls seem to be happy and healthy today. I won't be feeding/watering them as the pots are still heavy from yesterdays feed. A few of the girls have started to show sex & the smell has picked up a little bit(inside the tent), so I'm hoping to see some flowering begin this week sometime. (I've been using my iPhone as my only DSLR lens is useless for focusing on certain depths, but I hate the colour I get using the iPhone... I may be switching back to DSLR unless I can find a better camera app.) update - day 29 (18/12/20) Short update today. Fed the girls today and will probably be feeding/watering every day from here on out, we'll see though. veg growth has really taken off by now, I'm hoping to see some flowering this week. update - day 30 (19/12/20) I fed the girls today. I need to find a better way to hand water, the plants are so short and bushy its a pain getting in between all the branches. I wish i left my drip feed system up and running, I will definitely refine it and use it next run. Update - day 31 (20/12/20) Fed the girl's straight water today. I'm going to purchase the pieces I need tomorrow to reconfigure my drip feed system & hopefully have it running by mid-week! Update - day 32 I attempted to set up my drip feed system today but the plants are too thick around the base to place the halo around :( I will have to wait until next season to set it up, oh well, I guess its hand watering for the next 5-10 weeks Fingers crossed these girls start to flower ASAP. I fed the girls today, everything is looking good so far. I also moved the plants around to try to make hand watering easier, I had issues trying to water the whole pot instead of just one spot due to plants/branches being in the way. Update - Day 34 - 23/12/20 It definitely seems ill be watering the girls every day from here on out. All the girls look fairly happy and healthy, they're getting a bit big for the 5x5 they're in. It looks like flowering has begun on 2 of the girls, hoping to see some more progress on the others in the next few days. Thanks for stopping by! šŸ™

Sadly Zkittlez #2 will no longer be with us. I had to make an executive decision to remove her. I really wasn't sure what was going on. I noticed that her stem were extremely soft and really sticky with a strong chemical like smell. Being that her stem were extremely soft, I could see how any buds would be able to grow. Since the other three girls were in late bloom and doing extremely well I didn't want to jeopardize their progress in late bloom. She was only a week younger than her sisters. R.I.P. Zkittlez #2

Watered today everything is looking good! All strains developing distinct scents now. Fat Banana has a Sprite like candy smell. The Blueberry Swirl has more of a lemon zest smell, was hoping for blueberry scent but hopefully it will come later. Tropical Cooler has the smell of a rotten fruit salad. Lemon Haze x Garypayton has more of a berry scent. Defoliated Blueberry Swirl, their were too many popcorn bud sites so I cut the branches off.

There isn't much more to say about this fantastic strain. Hardy, easy to clone, quick to flower and absolutely delicious in every respect. It resists well to high temperatures, "accidental" over fertilization, and recovers soon after a period of drought. Easy and fast.
