Plants with more direct UV showed much more purple across all 3 plants. The data shows that the number of terpenes in dried Cannabis flowers increases with a “No Red” light treatment for the final three days of production. Based upon these findings, we feel confident in recommending a spectrum control program that eliminates red light output from fixtures for the final 72 hours of the Cannabis flowering cycle. Terpenes are aromatic compounds that give cannabis some of its most distinct aromas from citrus and berry, to more earthy tones. Many species of plants produce and emit terpenes in a diurnal, or daily cycle that is regulated by a complex web of signaling. There are also many plants that emit terpenes at night to attract nocturnal pollinators (Marinho et al., 2014346). Regardless of when the terpenes are produced or emitted, these processes are often dependent upon cues derived from natural light/dark cycles via a native circadian clock (Dudareva et al., 2004). Several light-sensitive pigments are involved in these processes of production and emission, and the different photoreceptors are dependent upon different wavelengths of light to be activated or deactivated. Emission of terpenes is a process that is entirely dependent upon phytochromes and red/far-red light cues in most plant species (Flores and Doskey, 2015). For example, repeated light/dark phytochrome signaling is necessary for the emission of terpenes in tobacco plants (Roeder et al., 2007). Based on previous findings, we hypothesized that a lack of red light and phytochrome-mediated light/dark signaling on the part of the plant is responsible for an increase in terpene content in cannabis. The plant continues to synthesize terpenes, but a lack of red light to trigger the Pr-Pfr shift results in a lack of terpene emission by the plant, thus causing the terpenes to accumulate in the maturing flowers. It has been found that sound waves were at different frequencies, sound pressure levels (SPLs), exposure periods, and distances from the source of sound influence plant growth. Experiments have been conducted in the open field and under greenhouse growing conditions with different levels of audible sound frequencies and sound pressure levels. Sound waves at 1 kHz and 100 dB for 1 h within a distance of 0.20 m could significantly promote the division and cell wall fluidity of callus cells and also significantly enhance the activity of protective enzymes and endogenous hormones. Sound waves stimulation could increase the plant plasma-membrane H+-ATPase activity, the contents of soluble sugar, soluble protein, and amylase activity of callus. Moreover, sound waves could increase the content of RNA and the level of transcription. Stress-induced genes could switch on under sound stimulation. Sound waves at 0.1–1 kHz and SPL of (70±5) dB for 3 h from plant acoustic frequency technology (PAFT) generator within a distance ranged from 30 to 60 m every other day significantly increased the yield of sweet pepper, cucumber and tomato by 30.05, 37.1 and 13.2%, respectively. Furthermore, the yield of lettuce, spinach, cotton, rice, and wheat were increased by 19.6, 22.7, 11.4, 5.7, and 17.0%, respectively. Sound waves may also strengthen plant immune systems. It has been proved that spider mite, aphids, gray mold, late blight and virus disease of tomatoes in the greenhouses decreased by 6.0, 8.0, 9.0, 11.0, and 8.0%, respectively, and the sheath blight of rice was reduced by 50%. Still stretching but also flowering nicely, started her on advanced nutrients big bud today at full strength along with Ionic grow just for the last stretch. Bit worried about the EC so might drop BigBud down to half if there's any burning tomorrow fingers crossed she's fine.

Bud wet weight : 168,1g of trimmed medium to big sized buds 25,4g of tiny tiny buds/larfs = 193.5 grams of trimmed wet buds. Details on genetics and smoke report above. This, as my first grow, is way more than I ever expected it to be. I haven´t had that much fun and enthusiasm in a very very long time. I can´t even explain the feeling it is to harvest your own cannabis, but I know most of you know what I´m talking about haha. It was really nice to practice LST, even tho it was SO HARD, ´cause I didn´t had barely any space to work since I used a hard pot and did not fill nearly half the size of it and the walls of the pot were really high. It was even difficult to water without dropping water on the lower buds. I haven´t learnt much about defoliation tho, I feel I need to study a little more about the phases you should or should not do it. Also, I discovered thrips are a pain in the ass. I had 2 tough weeks dealing with thrips, but in the end it was alright. I don´t have any humidity control device, which I intend to buy for the next grows. Growdiaries was really helpful for me, it kept me motivated everyday (not that I wouldn´t have had it anyways), the Grow Questions are REALLY useful and all the community is awesome. Thanks to all people that helped me here on GD during this first grow! To conclude it: I am really happy and satisfied with how the grow turned out. They look incredible, it almost feels like I can´t believe it still. Peace. UPDATES: 07/10 : The buds are now dry and already in curing jars, one of them with a Boveda 58% humidity pack. The total grams of the dry buds are: 41.4g (medium to big sized buds) 4.1g (tiny buds) = 45.5 grams! I´m really happy with the results, I thought it would be around 30g so yeah, that´s a really good surprise! In 2 weeks I´ll be back to update the smoke report. Thanks so much for reading! 21 days of flowering put this baby in a 2x2 tent with my northern lights.

Since last week I've been doing the normal watering only when they ask and watering once a week with top crop top veg fertilizer and they've responded very well and both are already in 11L airpots that I transplanted during this week

I did a bad job growing I feel like. The plant was great at first strong and decent size and I got a new job was busy and missed caring for her as much as I should have. Smells good and sticky looks good but I wanna do better.

Has been doing well the past week the growth is coming along nicely. Started nutrients and a fan schedule to strengthen stock has been set. Well come back in 1 week to check growth and monitor daily temp and hummidity is key.

Day 64 - Beginning of the Final Flowering Week 🌱 Hello, my grow friends! We’re entering the last flowering week, and it looks like I’ll be harvesting the plant around Friday, which will be roughly Day 68. 💭 Harvest Decision: It’s a tough decision because while the buds are still growing, the trichomes in the middle and lower parts of the plant are already about 80% milky and 10% amber. I’ll keep an eye on things and plan to check the trichomes again on Day 65, two days before harvest, to make a final decision. 🌿 Trichome Considerations: I have a feeling that even after cutting the plant and hanging it upside down to dry, some nutrients might still move into the buds, potentially causing them to swell a bit more. This is something I’m curious to see. 💧 Humidity, Water, and Temperature: As I mentioned in my last update, I flushed the plant yesterday, just before the start of the final week, with 4 liters of water. This should help flush out any remaining nutrients, and I likely won’t need to water again before harvest since the pots are thoroughly soaked. The humidity and temperature are holding steady between 52-58% and 20-24°C, which I find ideal. I’ve got my exhaust system and fan running continuously to ensure no mold develops. 📸 Final Updates: I’ll check in again with an update just before harvest to let you know how things are looking. Remember, I’m posting new pictures and videos of my plant every day. 🌱 Day 70 - Last Day Before Harvest 🌱 Hey Grow-Friends! 😄 Today marks the final day before harvest, and I couldn’t be more excited! As planned, I’ve kept the plant in darkness for the last 48 hours and haven’t watered it for 6 days. My goal is to let it sit in the dark until this evening, when the time finally comes to chop it down. 🌿✂️ Drying Decisions 🌬️ After much research and considering several factors—especially the high humidity in my tent—I’ve decided to go with wet trimming instead of dry trimming. I know dry trimming is often recommended for better bud quality and taste, but my main concern is avoiding mold at all costs. So, to play it safe, I’ll wet trim the buds, get them into the right size, and then place them in a drying net for about 7 days. Timing Concerns ⏳ I’m still figuring out the best timing for transferring the buds into curing jars. Since I’m wet trimming, I won’t be able to rely on the classic “stem snap test” to check dryness. But we’ll figure that out as we go along! Final Reflections 🌟 It’s been an amazing journey, and although I could push the grow a little further, I believe this is the perfect time to harvest. During this whole grow I would say she was my favorite. She has the fruit funk flora nose and just beautiful bag appeal. Her coals were a lot smaller than the other girls but she was bigger and yeild was similar. I got about 3 zips off of her. I would definitely recommend her
