Have been practically fizzing this week knowing the end is nigh for lady No1. Ended up giving her an extra day, mainly to prove to myself I could but was up early the next morning resolved to chop. Dismantled her branch by branch but only took the big fan leaves off hoping it will help her dry slowly and ended up with a nice collection of flowers. I’m pretty chuffed to how she has turned out although I know it’s not a massive yeald. Have learned loads though and already planning on what I’m going to change for next time. Thanks to all who’ve shared the benefit of wisdom, the forum has helped immeasurably. Will be back after she’s lost some moisture with a weight check and maybe a cheeky premature smoke report. Thanks gang xx Update: I managed to leave it drying for 13 days in total before taking the scissors to it for the jar. All told weighed in at 33g and as I’m not going to start lying to you now have to admit to being a little disappointed with that. Not sure if my expectations were too high or if it’s because of my novice status ( or more likely both) but still grateful for what I did mange to produce which I have to admit seems decent quality which I believe will only get better with a decent cure. Now just need to stop carrying the jar around like a cradled infant and find somewhere dark and cool for it to rest. X

This thing been a game

Gorilla cookies has grown a lot. She is 18 inches tall! I took a picture so show viewers how much growth she has up under the main cola area. I decided that I needed to do a LST on her and tie down 4 of her stems. If you look at the pictures, you can see the LST really opened her up a lot. Looking at the weather this week, we are going to have a lot of bright, sunny days. That means I will have to water and feed my plants regularly. It will be nice to have a break from all of the rain that we have had. I bought some "Fruit Fly Sticky Traps Fungus Gnat Traps Insect Trap for Plants Kitchen Indoor Outdoor White Flies Mosquitos Fungus Gnats Flying Insects Houseplant Gifts" off of Amazon that I really like. I don't know if anyone else has a buggy problem, but it seems like every time I get a new bag of soil, there are little gnat like bugs flying around. I tried to show my viewers how many bugs the sticky traps caught. I am very interested in how my FBA Gorilla Cookies is going to grow --I usually buy 3 containers of FoxFarm nutrients but for this grow I am using Miracle Grow. Another two weeks down, and the tent’s definitely alive and kicking. Some branches started leaning over, so I tied up the colas before things got out of hand. I pulled CalMag for a bit, thinking it was leaving residue in the reservoir — but turns out the real culprit is probably the Connoisseur Coco base. Kinda sad, because I really like these nutes, but looks like they’re not the best match for hydro-style Autopots. They leave sediment. Time to move on. I added a 25-micron filter to the circulation pump, and that helped quite a bit — though it’s still not perfect. Next grow will be with CANNA Coco — hoping for a cleaner run. Lemon Orange already looks like it's getting flushed, even though I haven’t started yet. Gonna give it two more weeks and then probably chop. King’s Juice? That thing exploded — totally outgrew the scrog because I didn’t bend it in time. Bit of a jungle now, but I’m rolling with it. Oh — and they’re drinking like crazy: 2 liters a day from the res, easy.

Week 8 Dec 4 - Dec 10 Dec 5 Leaves tucking Dec 6 Heavier selective defoliation on both girls. Athena fully lolipopped and Xena at 75%. Watered with 8 ltr beetwen both with perfect runoofs PH 6.4. Girls were very thirsty 🤤 Dec 7-8 Just enjoying how my girls developing. Frost has landed and they are start showing colours. All is looking great. Dec 9 Second watering for this week 7 ltr beetwen both. Runoffs PH 6.4 Even with so much difrence in size of my 🍌💜👊 girls it seems that they are drinking my juice almost equally. DAY49 7 Weeks Buds are hard. Smell is extreme. Very limited amount of spidermites under some leaves. No reason to exterminate them, because next week I'll probably harvest the plants. The smell of the Triple G is fanastic, Big separated buds. The Cookies Gelato are more sativa style of buds than I'm use of them. There leaves are turning purple. The Liberty Haze has a lot of small leaves in the buds, and thet got amasing blinking white flowers. Probably this will be the plants I'll harvest the last, because they need some extra flowering time. The Wedding Gelato is creamy, lots of trichomes and is fast flowering. But some flowers got budrot. I'ts hard to get the humidity low because of the rainy and misty autumn outside.
