23.08 The Drainmaster moved into the tent to control the drain. Defoliated and lollipopped them. 25.08 First run with the drain system. Nutrient Solution (Tank): Volume: 8.5 L EC: 3.05 pH: 5.5 Nutrients: Advanced Nutrients Micro/Grow/Bloom + CalMag Irrigation Run: Pump time: 30 minutes Total Drain: 5.0 L (≈ 60%) Drain EC: 2.6 Drain pH: 6.0 🔎 Observations Drain volume was far too high (target is ~20%). Drain EC lower than input EC → medium was relatively “empty”, plants absorbed nutrients quickly. pH drift from 5.5 → 6.0 shows some buffering effect left in the reused substrate, but limited. Substrate behaves more like coco than soil now (low buffer, fast response). 💡 Insight / Lesson Learned 30 minutes pump time is way too long → resulted in 60% runoff instead of 20%. For 8 × 1 L pots, a single irrigation event should be ~1.0–1.2 L total, with ~200–250 ml runoff. Solution: shorten pump time to ~5 minutes and re-test runoff. Better approach: run shorter, more frequent irrigations (daily) with a lower EC (2.0–2.2), instead of heavy feedings (EC 3.0) only 3× per week. This will keep EC more stable in the root zone and prevent salt buildup in the tiny 1 L pots. 27.08 Adjusted the pump timer to 5 minutes, gave the first dose of PK13/14.

Die Deadryder hat früh die Blütephase eingeleitet! Ob so gewollt? Es kommt mir so vor, dass sie aufgrund der kurzen vegetativen Phase nicht wirklich Blattmasse aufbauen konnte. Schaut eher aus, wie ein kahler Tannenbaum 😜. Blüten entwickeln sich auch schon rasch und werden sogar schon ein wenig lila. Na da bin ich aber echt gespannt!

We are starting flowering this week, the transition period was 24h of darkness from May 11th to 12th. A few days after changing the light time we noticed the first pistils appearing (May 18th), then we took two clones from the bottom and removed a few leaves from them.

As week 8 started, buds are gaining size. Plant is drinking lots of water. About. 3/4 a gallon a day to day 1/2. Added a second light to setup now. Hoping to help the flowering buds with extra light. Relocated my fan to help circulate air flow around more of the taper colas. Should have a around 3 week a left til harvest. Can’t wait to see how this first grow turns out and what to learn from it overall at the end.

30 Jan 2022 Grow tent running now 30 days now. Oldest plant is about 20 days old and youngest plant is about 10 days old. Of the 9 plants 8 plants are doing great only the 2nd Blueberry Banana is suffering a bit, i'll keep an eye on it if don't get better in a few i'll remove and I change it with a new seed. In the pass week i moved the lamp at 40cm from the ground and till yesterday i runned the lap at 75% of his power , from today 30-1 the lamp is running at 100% of his power. Harvest update on flowering day 75 since the time change to 12/12 hrs. Hey everyone ☺️👍. Today there is a short update of the harvest before the last update after the fermentation comes 😀👍. Both phenotypes were very easy to cut due to their very good bud to leaf ratio ☺️. I already like both phenotypes in terms of smell, although I have to say that Phenotype 1 smells much better and fruity 😍. Was trimmed clean by hand with disinfected scissors :-). Before harvest, both plants were given complete darkness for 48 hours. The trichomes are 70% milky and 30% amber 😍. You can now dry for 7-12 days on the net at 62% humidity. Then it goes for another 12-17 weeks in the glasses with 62% boveda packs which are then changed to 58% boveda packs :-). Until then and for the final harvest update, I wish you all a lot of fun. The temperatures, humidity, height, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are ml/gallon of soil to be spread evenly on top of the soil. Day 1 we had a high temperature of 95°F with clear sunny skies. It was super hot today. I watered each pot 4-5 gallons twice. Day 2 we had a high temperature of 81°F with partly cloudy skies. The girls are still thirsty. I watered 4-5 gallons per pot once. These girls roots have tapped through these pots and into the soil. Unless it's just super hot watering once is enough. Day 2 we had a high temperature of 95°F. It felt like 97°F. We had super clear sunny skies. The girls are loving the sunshine and slightly less humidity. I watered twice @4-5 gallons per pot. Day 3 we had a high temperature of 90°F with super clear sunny skies. The temperature was more comfortable at 90° today because we had less humidity. I watered 4-5 gallons per pot from the well. Day 4 we had a high temperature of 83° with clear sunny skies. I watered 4-5 gallons once per pot. Day 5 we had a high temperature of 83° with clear sunny skies. I watered 4-5 gallons once per pot. Day 6 we had a high temperature of 79°F with clear sunny skies. I watered once 4-5 gallons of well water per pot. The girls are thirsty but the heat isn't sucking the water out of the pots. The girls are in full vegative phase 2 and continue to gain height. Day 7 we had a high temperature of 75°F with mostly sunny skies. I watered 4-5 gallons per pot once. This week was a great success. The girls really stretched. The middle height plant is at 102 inches. The tallest plant looks about 10"-12" taller. The weather was very pleasant. We had a few hot days but mostly cool fall type weather. The defoliation and treatment of powdery mildew with Growers Ally fungicide ended that problem. These plants do have a high level of resistance but not immunity. I'll continue to treat once a week. Most growers don't talk about their fungal pathogens or treatment of them. Outdoors, if your plants aren't immune (many fastbuds I've grown from seed have been) then this is an issue you'll deal with if you have cool humid nights. There are many treatments and preventatives and some are scarey. My grows are all organic and I carefully chose Growers Ally fungicide as I smoke these plants and don't want anything scarey in(systemic) or on them. Thabks for visiting my diary 🌱💚

Grand Daddy Purple auto is doing good. She is stretching a lot. Her colas are starting to develop. She is looking really good. She does have the slightest burn on her tips. Being it has no curl up, this would be a potassium deficiency. I recently increased her blooming nutrition. She is growing really well in asmall potter. Nothing more to report. Soweit so gut, ist jetz am Trocken bei 16°-22° und um die 50% Luftfeuchtigkeit. Nach gut 8 Tagen waren es 51g trocken👍 Ist jetz zum aushärten in Gläsern mit 62% Boveda. Geschmack ist nicht so kräftig und geht eher in die erdige und ganz leicht Zitrone Richtung. Leider sehr luftige Buds mit vielen Blättern dazwischen. Rauchbar ist es auf jeden Fall aber ist eher nix für mich. Meine Cherry Pie von Weedseedsexpress ist da schon eher mein Geschmack.
