Well, what we feared, became a reality, one of the regular XTrakush plants is a male. This is why I planted two and I'm happy it seems to be only the one. But with the canopy going nice and full it hurt to get it out. Of course, I hoped to have two females but nature went its course. Considered leaving it in, to pollinate the others, or keeping it somewhere, but I do not have the space or light for it. Thus with pain in my gut, I went about getting her out. I notice a nice developed root system, very healthy, which was very hard to get loose. After shaking the soil off I have a rootball the same size as after my whole grow last time. I could lift the whole 57 ltr bag by lifting the plant. Sturdy stem, thick solid branches. This is what I was aiming for and it works. The soil again is proving itself to be a winner. The light this low gives some higher temps as expected, but manageable within ranges. The SP-3000 is performing really well and I cant wait to see the bud development coming weeks. I'm sure it will deliver a great amount of bigger buds looking at all the flower sites and the thick branches that support them. The plants seem to take the light well on only 45 cm. I've started adding the BAC Organic Bloom Nutrition. It is designed to work with the microorganisms I added with the micro life. With this I do a little bit of Calmag, but not so much, since I don't see any evidence of shortages, again proving my soil is dialed in for growing under LED perfectly. 2/2 We are about half way on the 2 biggest, 3 weeks on the SG, and about 6 weeks on the Blue cheese. Damn... You can see how much I lose on the bottom half, but like I said before. It will still be more than I can smoke. And I want to make sure it all gets enough light to ripen and allow plenty of airflow. The only issues in really having is the godberry seems to be yellow 8ng too soon, but I still think it's from the light stress early on. She also looks a bit like nute burn. Probably the fish emulsion I gave it 2 weeks ago when I misread the light stress. I always have at least one plant that goes yellow too soon. Living soil. More to come...

So the grow cycle was pretty easy. I work away from home and I sometimes have to leave for 4 days in a row. Before I'd leave for the four days I'd just add 4-6 cups of RO water with some Cal-Mag. When I can back she was always bigger and didn't have any problems. I was lazy this time and never checked the PH of the water. This strain is pretty resilient so props to sweet seeds. I decided not to LST this plant, it was a little taller than I wanted but grew in a nice shape. I still cant believe how purple this strain is. I started to get foxtailing on the top bud not sure what would cause that. Once again sorry for the lack of pictures. I'll let you know the smoke report later.

As for what I've been doing for maintenance, I've been watching and waiting and just adding water when needed into the reservoir, should be less then 2 or 3 days by now

Week 8 flower, watering until the end. No more top dressing or fish shit. Just the same de chlorinated tap water, not ph’d or filtered that I’ve been using since the beginning. Comes out the tap with a ph of 7 and less than 15ppm tds. The soil takes care of everything.

D-70 : At this stage, I'm a bit.... surprised that the Desfrans are not taller thant they are. The smallest one is 35cm wich is really small for a 100% sativa strain. The tallest one is about 56cm, wich is also quiet small I think. If I compare with some other diaries, the tallest one could be in the target if we take into account that I trained them a lot during their first weeks. But the small one is almost the half she should be... There's no sign of deficency, none ! I have 420w @ 50 cm from the top, so it's not because of the light. The container is a 20L smartpot. I simply do not understand. Is it juste because of that phenotype ? Will she grow during the next 7-9 weeks untill she'll recover her late ? I Modified a bit the position of the light so the Lumatek 100w FullSpectrum on the side of the box is really pointed to the "slow" girls. We'll see if it change anything but I really doubt about it... The only lead I have is : Desfran loves HEAT and Light. The 2 smallest are on the coldest side of the box, even if it's not cold at all. But it is the side near the window...

week intel: every thing is amazing girls are ripening , we can now cause more e.c stress than before because: 1-plants are very mature now and can handle stress 2- at this week its the only stress that is helpful for increasing plant resins stresses : E.C stress around 1.6 and 1.7 3 times a week feeding: i replaced B-52 with Bloom Base Nutrient i feed them 3 times this week with this order : day 1 : i feed them high with base nutrients(calcium & micros (half dose) + Bloom) about 850 ppm - 1.7 e.c to cause a little stress. day 3 : i feed them high dose of Top-Max + Bloom Base Nutrient around 877 ppm - 1.7 e.c to cause stress . day 5 : i feed them high dose of Feeding Booster around 850 ppm - 1.7 e.c to cause e.c stress again guide of the week : last weeks are time of ripening , and the only helpful stress is e.c stress at this moment
