Week 6 of flower, the buds are fattening up and triching out. The terps are super sweet and very potent smelling. I haven't seen very many nanners or balls lately, but I have seen them popping through the buds occasionally. I still inspect daily, but some days I don't find any, so I hope it won't give me too many seeds. I did notice that the bud that gets the most intense light has started having tips pointed upwards and flipping its leaves. I attributed this to heat stress, so I moved that light over bit. Day 38 update: this last week I was only watering with distilled water and the yellowing has progressed, so I assume I was right about the nitrogen deficiency noted a couple weeks back. Today I top-fed with a homemade fast acting high nitrogen organic fertilizer, we will see if this helps. Also nothing in my current flowering feeding regime has a lot of nitrogen, so I think this will likely solve the problems. I have also decided to give them an extra 15 minutes darkness for a total of 13.25 hours darkness, 7.5 minutes extra on each end, tell them its almost time to finish with ~4 weeks left. Day 40 update: still been pulling herm balls and nanners off the big one, the others seem to have stopped, but i still check them daily. Gonna be slightly seeded for sure, but I hope not too much. Also, the yellowing seems to have been managed after that nitrogen feed.

(11/11-11/17) ***All feeds with nutes use either a whole ratio or combination of "Veg Mix" and "Bloom Mix"concentrates DILUTED in water until a total ppm of add-in is reached using a (Total Dissolved Solids) TDS Meter measured in PPM (parts per million). The "Veg Mix" concentrate will eventually be added in smaller ratios and "Bloom Mix" concentrate will eventually replace the "Veg Mix" concentrate entirely. The ppm and ratios of each feed will be listed when I feed. Veg mix recipe is on week 2. Bloom Mix recipe will be noted in this top message of the week that I make it.*** Week 1 Notes & Observations: Both plants are coming along pretty good. No concerns rolling into week 2, I will be starting nute supplements in the diet this week but plan to add them slowly to the regular routine. Day 18, WOW what a difference the feed made with Plant 1!? She was a good inch behind plant 2 at the start of the week and today she 'looked' bigger, so I measured, 2 days after the deep nute feed, and now she's an inch taller than plant 2.😮 VPD this week will reduce the humidity in the tent to about 70-75% and temps will be monitored for 75- 78F daytime and 68-70F overnight. Lights should adjusted to provide 300 max, but will try to hold the 280 setting as long as I can this week. Meaning no increase over last week other than growth. Feed & Monitor: Day 16 (last feed was day 11) Tested and Calibrated my ph pens. Starting weight from each pot was 18 lbs and 8 oz, P1 weighed 15lbs 9oz and P2 was 15lbs 15oz before feed. Each plant got 1 gallon of purified water with 75ppm Veg Mix (recipe above and makes 1 gallon at about 3600 to 4000ppm concentrate to dilute each feed, i.e. I only fed 75ppm above the purified water ppm this feed) The ph on this feed was balanced to 5.75ph to combat the higher runoff ph from the last feed. P1 weighed 21lbs even and P2 weighed 21lbs 5oz after feed. I got about 5 cups of runoff on P1 and 6 cups on P2. Top soil tested at: P1 (6.37, 6.37, 6.37, 6.32) avg 6.357 and P2 (6.55, 6.61, 6.52, 6.42) avg 6.525 - Runoff for P1 ph was 6.29 with 1530ppm and P2 was 6.29 with 1580ppm. Into the second week of flower now, due for another defol before the stretch ends and the last defol of the grow then let the girls recover and focus on the flowers, cuttings are showing lots of roots 11 days after planting, high humidity in the propagation container and the ezy plugs make it a breeze

Ok so I put a significant amount of time into this grow. Learned a ton (everything lol) as it was my first. After the final week, I decided to harvest when the trichs were milky and clear. Few amber here and there but time constraints meant I had to chop a bit earlier than I’d have preferred. I do prefer a more uplifting cerebral effect yet realize with an indica leaning strain, having all cloudy and maybe 25% amber would have been 👌🏼. My drying process began by chopping a plant at a time, I washed the buds to get the PM or traces off (also grime from outdoor city air). I used a big bucket and did hydrogen peroxide. In heindsight I would have used baking soda as well and did a two step wash. After washing them, I hung to dry with a fan until they stopped dripping then into the tent they went for drying at roughly 68 degrees and 55% humidity. I staggered the harvest and wet trimmed about 70% of the time with the latter 30% dry trimmed. This was done for convenience and to try both ways. I dried everything for about 12-13 days until the smallest stems snapped and the larger ones were borderline cracking. I started jarring everything with humidity meters, about a half oz per smaller widemiuth jam jar. The smell was never hay-like but did vary in strength and scent from plant to plant. Almost no seeds which was pretty great to see. One of the outdoor plants had quite a few seeds so I kept that separate. It ironically had the stinkiest floral smell. So what’s the total!! After curing in jars for about a month, I weighted everything and came out with 10.5oz of cured trimmed flower and about 2 oz of sugar leaf trim which I am making canna butter with and cooking. Made some reduculously strong cookies: 11 cookies from about 10 grams of trim. Ate two and was medicated for about 24hrs 😂. Some of the buds were super dense and cured down to 58 RH easily. There were a few of the large big buds that had mass but less density and fewer trichomes. These were more red-hair visually than the others. The smoke: surprisingly smooth. The effect is energizing and uplifting at first, with a nice sedative body feeling on the second half of things. Overall, I’m super happy with the result. Learned a TON and will be modifying my approach a bit next go-around this spring. Stay tuned!!!

I also like the fact that you can control the light intensity and daisy chain with another light witch is what I plan on doing.

So it now just about the 3 different Runtz x Layer Cake phenos, yes right 3 of them: 1. The Runtz pheno 2. The GMO dark pyramid pheno 3. The Layer/ Wedding Cake pheno in lilac I need to start to harvest the top crowns now, because they are ready now. I estimate around 7-10 days until they are fully harvested. Also I left 1 mainline from both Bruce Banners for a maximum of narcotic pressure from the hulks, just to clarify the whole spectrum of a plant, from early to late harvest. I think that makes sense? I use my oCoQ- Doktrine with maximum of stress without lockouts, always at the edge with normal CO2 levels (400ppm)😅😅

OMG when you touch her she REALLY smells of grapefruit!! Sour citrus! Amazing! I'm probably secretly most excited for her harvest. She grew 11 cm too! I've not done a thing to her apart from feed/water and turn her pot 180 degrees through the week.

Tropicana flowers 🌞☀️🌤️🌦️🌧️ Plant is 15 cm high because of low stress training. The length is 31 cm. Day 36: Sun is shining, 15-23 degrees, high humidity. Tropicana gets two liters of pure rainwater. Spend the day in my veggie garden working. In the evening I brought some 🐞for Tropicana because I spottet a few lice. My mood changes drastically as I find spider mites eggs, first and second stadium. Don‘t overthink that and decide to defoliate the plant immediately. I prepare a tee out of the leaves which brings fast relaxation. My mood is much better now. Day 37 In the morning with better light I find more spider mites and decide to wash the plant with rainwater. Can‘t find after any more of these little killer dwarfs. I decide to bring more beetles and check the leafs more often. Temperature is felling under 20 degrees, it‘s raining and the humidity is 87%. Day 38 In the early morning I couldn‘t find any mites on Tropicana. Got to continue controlling this in the next weeks regular. I‘m sure they are still there somewhere hidden in a dark spot. 🌦️ 13 - 21 degrees and humidity is around 60-70%. Day 39 🌦️🌧️ Very rainy day. Just let Tropicana enjoy life and tie down the top one more time. 🐞 stay since some days. One on every plant. I think the mites are a result of their start inside and no hygiene at all. Have the same with my peppers some years. 14 - 21 degrees, humidity around 84% Day 40 🌧️☁️🌤️☀️15 degrees, humidity 83% We listen to Roots Reggae, Tropicana is happy and quite busy with producing new roots, I guess. Don‘t understand when to stop low stress training. I think it’s enough now. She needs a rest. Day 41 🌧️⛈️🌧️🌧️ 15 - 19 degrees, humidity up to 89% We had rainfall today around 65 liters of water. I collected enough of it for the next weeks. Day 42 ☀️ 6 - 23 degrees. Humidity is falling. Tropicana enjoys the morning sun while she drinks and drinks and drinks…. Coffee. 😅
