Week 4 of flower and the boys have finally spilled the pollen. It’s bloody everywhere in there so I expect that no bud has gone undefiled😎. The females have all witnessed a pretty significant nitro deficiency now that they’re trying to produce seed instead of flowers. We changed out the nute mix to 1/3 grow and 2/3 bloom and they immediately showed improvement. No slight against Druid at all - we moved to a different brand simply to conserve it for the flowering runs where it really matters👍. The lone separated spicy bitch female that entered flower early is looking really sexy. I very much doubt she’ll have escaped full pollination with this much in the air however. We won’t use any seed from this girl but if we’re lucky we might be able to pull out some sample bud. We’re taking down all the males today now that their job is done and we’ve also decided to harvest from the one specific cum dumpster male that has shown as the most vigorous. Doubt we’ll get around to using it before it’s shelf life expires but u never know. The details on that will be in the harvest entry coming up. Other than that - we’re through the fornication stage and it’s all just keeping the ladies alive until it’s time to extract some seeds👍😎👍. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

In week 9 Stacking nicely and strong smell in the am when I turn the lights on

DAY 29: Wooohoo, it is that exciting time when we notice more of the little white hairs poking up around the bracts and the tips take on a bursting opening of growth appearance. The main 2 in flower are the Northern lights #1 and Grandaddys mimosa. Both have started to stretch and will benefit from the planned l.s.t to keep them in their best light . Northern lights has taken a very healthy S-bend in her stem as she wanted to go tall from the beginning. Her growth rate has been excellent under the light and I can see her stretching will certainly have me pushing the lights footprint limits. Grandaddys mimosa has also added a nice bit of height at around 12 inches now. A good start for stretching too. She has space and I have been removing the larfy lower growth from rhem all to not waste energy. She is a little more advanced in flower then the northern light but very close. Both of the Gorilla cookies are starting to join the party now and look like they are still in veg and pushing tips up for flowering but no signs of bract hairs yet so they will hopefully match the size of the other 2 soon enough. They are a bushier appearance than the other 2 strains so I will have to make sure they dont get overgrown by their canopies after the stretch periods. The mutant Northern lights has still remained small and hopeful but I wont be holding out too.much hope on her. I contacted Fast buds and used their after sales service to discuss the failed seeds. They were excellent and only needed a few details of purchase and a couple of pics with some info on what happened and they have now replaced the 3 that I lost. Well done for keeping true to your word @fastbuds . THE LIGHT What can I say about this amazing piece of tech. A small unit, solidly made and delivering a punch way better than I honestly expected. I thought it was going to be ok to sprout them and bring them up together then remove most of them to grow with my other lights while I flowered a single plant under it. Seeing how bloody capable it is , has thrown that plan out of the window altogether...... I plan now to grow all 4 main plants to harvest and really push the limits of this sunshine in a shade. For 150w of power , it is having no problems providing plenty of par for all of the girls to max their photosynthesis needs. All of them are in homemade super soil and the lights are their main input from my end so something is keeping them very happy indeed. In a box or cupboard , this light could work wonders on a single plant or couple of trained but I feel this would be hiding a lot of potential and underestimating its abilities. I did not add nutrients this week, but I did transplant to a 45 gallon pot and added more FFOF soil. There were strong winds reaching 38-40mph; no damage due to the wind. I did notice some damage on the leaves, but this was due to a soap solution I sprayed on the plants that was too strong combined with condensation and high temperatures. I am also being careful of controlling the caterpillar population. I don't tent or screen so I have to deal with all types of insects and issues outdoors throughout the year. I want to believe that the more natural the grow, the better the final product. Final comment this week is that plentiful watering during wind and heat storms goes a long way with the plant. She can take a lot if given the right nutrition and hydration. The smell is intensifying and the buds are starting to form. A long way still from harvest...about 16 to 18 weeks approximately. Getting several monarch butterflies visiting.

day 14 added 1/2tbsp magnesium sulfate in 5gal water along with regular flower water amendments. 1gal of water per day average, bridal and thunder can take more water. Ph 6.8 today day 15 I will defoliate in a few days :) day 15 video, you see some stem action day 16 video day 17 I added (4x20w daisy-chained)80w of poop purple ancient leds Keep adding soluble PK, organic booster etc. I see the stacks relax on defoliation for a few days, maybe tomorrow morning (skip day21) I feel like I will be able to chop week 6-7 as my last grow, push hard fast-continue everything is great, soon bridal and thunder will require 1gal water per day. I would like to see even more mass. I'm extremely happy, starting to see frost day18. BIG UPDATE many short vids of final defoliation(ahead of "day 21"). Wild amendments appeared! Any recommendations for a lawnmower? Bridalparty stretched over an inch overnight, led touch diode burn on 1 spot. Raised lights slightly, Added new amendments into water. Bridal wants to drink more than 1gal per day, So I will be using almost 5gal-ish water per day not denying the plant needs-watering. I am very happy! defoliation took about 4h today.

Growing up in a 2.3x2.3. Peat light mix. LED: 3000K Citizen CLU048-1212 3000K powered by Meanwell ELG-200-36 Strange plant. No matter what, the branches grow totally vertically! Every branch required training since day 1. Also, before maturity when the plant made symmetrical nodes, only one of each set of shoots would develop into a proper branch. The other one would stay very small, no exceptions. But it smells absolutely amazing when the stem is rubbed! So I'm giving this one to the 2x2. Let's see it flower. Soon. No fuss veg - will update weekly in flower. There's a bit of burnage due to the lights being to close for a shorter companion plant. That plant has been thrown out... it might make a return some day 😏 Not many diaries of this one around. So give a shoutout if bubba kush saved your life or got you back with your ex wife. Pretty good week for the stretching. Even thou my tank had some problems (I believe biobizz is not meant for tanks), the ladies are thriving. Changed to my trusted brand of base nutrients, green planet nutrients. This time trying medi one. Hope my grow shop will continue bringing green planet, it is a bummer they might stop importing it. Plant 4 accidental mainlining after breaking the two main tops training before switching to flower. I can see the how awesome is Sanlight led evo for this tent, ladies are all even and love the overall environment of the budbox and the lights. Noticing a huge difference in nutrient consumption compared with hps. Drinking way less. Overall excited and happy of this grow, couple of little problems trying organic base nutrients, but that’s how we learn, right?

Hey All!!, Today is the 24th - Happy Christmas Eve! The pictures were taken on the 19th (42 days old) they are looking quite good. They are doing a good job of stacking. Looks like they will be nice dense buds. I will be staying with what I am doing as far as feeding until it's time to flush. It does not look like they will not all finish at the same time. Of the 4 one is really turning purple, a second has more purple buds but the leaves are green, and the last two are just getting frosty but no real color, at least not yet. Also of the 4, one is really tall, two are about exactly the same and then there is one in the middle, taller than the two but ot quite as tall as the one really tall one. I will follow up next week. I skipped a week as there was nothing significant to talk about, they were just growing well. I hope everyone has a great Christmas day!

Unfortunately one of the light bulb slide down and burned plant:( after the burn i had to remove 2 leafs as shown in video.

Day 1: Seeds placed in paper towel. Day 2: 5/6 sprouted roughly 1/8 of a inch. Day 3: placed seeds in 5 gallon fabric bags, with 2 gallons of water introduced beforehand (slight runoff from each) 5 of 6 seeds germinated very well, roots ~1/2 inch long before planting in soil, forgot to take a picture of the seeds before planting. Other seed ~1/8 inch. Day 4: Watered each plant with 1/3 gallon of water with Athena Grow(16ml/g) and Athena Core(10ml/g) at 9am with 6.7ph Day 5: Watered each plant with 1/3 gallon of 6.7 ph water(no nutrients) r at 9am, 4 of 6 plants sprouted Day 6: No water needed, plant 5 sprouted, plant 6 still not. Day 7: Watered each plant with 1/4 gallon of water with Athena Grow(16ml/g), Athena Core(10ml/g), Raw Silica(1/8 tsp) and Dextrose powder(1 tbsp.) Plant 5 lightly watered, Plant 6 not watered. Day 8: No water needed, Plant 6 taken out Day 9: No water needed, Plant 5 very weak compared to others.

Day 44 - Today it's time to say sayonara to the undergrowth as I clear away a lot of the fan leaves and make room to further shape the canopy. I took each of the 8 branches that I previously cuffed off to fan leaves, and tied them down into their final resting place - rounding out the final shape of the plant. Day 47 - Defoliation ✂️ - over the course of 3 days, this lady bushed out like woah - causing me to dive back in the the scissors. Ermahgerd! 😱 She showed me a ♥️!

Kicked these girls off - 22/04/20 - Germinated 4 Zamnesia Runtz seeds - soaked in water with a drop of seaweed. All germinated fine. Paper towel method until tap root is around an inch. 24/04/20 - Added to rooters 28/04/20 - Putting them in their starter pots today to get rooted. Time lapse - 24th > 27th April. Only one gelato remaining people. This one is really taking its time and the lack of orange pistils does have me really worried. All bottom vegetation is turning yellow and dying out and buds look like they still have a bit to go. I'm hoping its not a did.
