A lot of problems with run off PH It drove me crazy, and i gave up Now is aprox 6.5 and i will see how it will go

I started germination of this Gold Bar Kush bean on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cube with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plug was just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made hole. Than I sowed my bean into the hole. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the hole in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plug into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see a sprout. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plug planted into a 1 gallon pot. Plus get this lady situated into her new home. Cant wait! Some background information on my first run with GBK. It's a VERY robust variety packing hella branches, hella quick. Prime candidate for continues ongoing lst work. To maintain a clean,uncongested even canopy. She can become a jungle quick if left untamed. Shes very easy going in the nutrient department. Not hard to keep this one happy. Packs on lots of weight everywhere towards end of flower. Branches most definitely need some support or they will come crashing down. The flavor and aroma from this variety sre majestic. The intense indica effects are heavenly. Not hard to guess why it's back in the grow room for round 2.

This week went well. No water or food for the girls because I have been busy. They seem happy . Glad to see Mantisis patrolling the greenhouse. Pretty good for now i did not have to train themthis week

Updating two days early but wicked happy with the progress so far. Starting to understand the strain and what it likes to be fed so just trying to adapt to it and really lock in on a smooth feeding schedule. Have been against pruning in the past but couldn't resist attempting "Nebulas Manifold" and finally topped after the 6th node finally developed this morning. Topped on the 3rd node with leaving a stump for connection and trimmed the remaining nodes below. Was pretty surprised at how much they were reaching when I check in on them tonight but happy to see they're still crankin. Time to wait for the 4th node and top again. Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. ----------- Week 6: ----------- Start of the 2nd week of real flowering. The slight discoloration of the lower leaves continues. Not the biggest problem in itself, but would have liked to see it differently. Her general health is good, but next time I will opt to use a biotab less. 2 pieces seem more than enough. That is why I waited an extra 10 days to give her the one-off treatment of bactrex and orgatrex. It is a solution of 1gr bactrex and 20ml orgatrex in 500ml water to boost bacterial life. She has just received this and she will only get this once. We also set up the dehumidifier to keep the humidity around 50-55%. And we have now also switched on the digital lumatek boost, for maximum light intensity. Since we also don't work with a scrog net (which we really have to consider next time), I already had to tie her in a few places to make sure her shoots do not fall over. But this is a positive 'problem'. Until next update!

This plant has been going strong for sometime now. I’m starting this grow diary so soon because I need to keep track of how much longer I have until it’s ready for harvest. I already forgot what day I switched to bloom lol. But I’ll be posting weekly. With better pictures.

Day 7 of flower. Cleaned up some of the lowers realized the strip is gunna be miserable. Put a humidifier in each tent so I can run the co2 with the exhaust low without getting the condensation. The trop juice 4 in the back right of the 5x9 is gunna be a monster.

Day 63 Flowering: Well folks we have reached that point where it has all been focused on. The Fft#9 has been a great performer from seed to finish amd i cannot fault the genetics at all. She has responded to all the training with no issues at all. Easy to work with and hardy enough to take some punishment with supercropping ect... Buds smell fruity with a hint of diesel to them and are so sticky icky now too. Her trichs are all cloudy and she has a nice proportion of emerging Amber's so tonight she will goninto 48 hrs dark before inhanf her for drying alongside the FFT@10 who has had a week hanging in approx 4°C and 18°C as the outside temps drop. She is still a waybof dry and will possibly be another week if I leave her in this position in the roof space. Once I hang the FFT#9 in the tent and begin her drying , I will move the fft10 too. I could not be happier with these twontesters as they have performed excellently. brilliant job fast buds. roll on harvest time.

GOOD MORNING VIETNAM😈💚 Week 6 Day 35: Pics from this noon. Mutants main cola is strecthing like crazy😁 like 30 cm in a week. Not as many white pistils as the other 2 girls. Tb; i topped the 2 other ones. I'm lil worried mutant cola will continue streching till it hits light😁 they continue drinking lots of nute water and no complaints yet😎 One love 💚 Day 37: no nute burn!! I was fully expectin bad nute burn when i fed them on 1600ppm😁 but they seemed to be ok with it ä, although i gave them ph water the next day (36). I might be dumb but seeing the girls are not showing any sings of slowing down or nute burning and all checks out, i gave 900ppm feeding. ( All cal w 0.5 ). Colas have starting to see first snow💚 Day 38: Morning fellow greenthumbs💚 Today i defoliated #3 mutant, did some lst aswell. Gave feeding of 1.9 ec ph 5.7. checked runoff and came as 6.3 and ec 1.9 (might be high from 1600ppm feed😂) no signs of lockout or burns👌👌snapped brach yesterday cos forgot not to train after watering🙁 but got it taped up really quickly and seems like it has maked a recovery😇 Day 39: Had quite busy day as i germinated 2 other strains so no pics. Gave girls ph water of 5.9, 1.8L per gal. No news, mutant is streching but 1 and 2 are full flower and fattening sites😎💚 Day 40: gave #3 and #1 feeding and ph 6.3. skipped plant 2 cos pot was heavy and had still lil bit of runoff. Amazing budsite and frostness development! Even the fan leaves are getting real frosty❄️😎 Day 43: All good , giving 5.9ph 900ppm feedings and check runoff. Beatiful snowy tops😍

Total days above ground: 70 Total flower nights: 31 Vege growth stopped around FD25. Started feeding 1/2 strength fertilizer FD26 (last 6 irrigations including today). Excellent development across the canopy. Tried to get some pictures showing how the colas are stacking up along with a couple shots of terminal buds. Included some photos and videos of irrigation setup, drainage and other half of the tent setup that is not often visible in weekly updates. Also, a video showing the canopy with some grateful dead background music. Last week including progression pictures as they are full size. Well, I still don't like the structure, but this plant has really turned on the jets in mid flower. More bud sites than I expected but because I had to HST it, It is crowding AM3 and probably not helping the runt of the litter by doing so, lol. The smell on this plant is a mix of fuel and a hint of mint at one time, but the gas smell is overtaking it at this stage. The aroma is a big reason why i'll use it as a pollen-donator and hope that the lanky trait gets toned down with hybridization. My bets fem-seed outcome was two lanky plants and that most certainly got toned down in the offspring. I think it's related to too much inbreeding because of the much better structure found in the F1 offspring. Smell is starting to ratchet up. Bud sites are mostly formed at this point and we will see some noticable ripening by next week's update. Might see a hint of fattening calyxes in the bud pictures this week. 2026-2 starts in 8 days. Will have some Blue Cookies and Pineapple Express from MSNL running along side some Vanilla Creme Pie from HSC. Can't believe winter-2 is already starting. Time is flying by. Breeding cycle is doing well. Will update that when the pollen-receivers join the pollen-donator on a 12/12 light schedule. Side note -- looks like I avoided any issues from accidentally leaving port hole opened about 8 or 9 days ago. I have it marked in notes and will feel 100% confident 2-weeks out from the incident. So far, so good. The lung room is mostly dark and light would have to travel a difficult path to get in the tent, but still mildly concerned about it.

Week 2 went well. Plant 1 kicked off the bloom cycle with a bang, plant 2, still asleep I guess🤷‍♂️ finally showing a flower formation on day 14. Plant 1 was showing after 34 hours of dark, day 2. As far as the canopy goes, 74 out of 81 squares filled. I'm guessing one more tucking session in a week and we sit back and watch. Cranked up the food to, again, what general hydro recommends at this stage aswell as some bud start I had a sample of from a buddy. I dont intend on buying any magic potions this time around, just the future harvest samples I have. Setup needs a reformat, at that point I will settle on a nutrient line for the next grow. The root mat seems to be working as I hoped. How this affects yield/quality vs extra veg who knows🤷‍♂️ but more roots more buds right? I'm also zeroing in on the dryback cycles which I believe is causing more branching and less tap root entanglement. Hard to capture but the root mat is a crisp white for the most part. In the photos, the dead yucky brown rot looking portions are actually only slightly darkened. Hopefully light leak, not fungus as the brown is only on mature roots and not slimy in the slightest. What can I say about barneys ayahuasca purple. Its purple already😅 I must add, flower set is a beautiful thing. The anticipation is building, fingers crossed🤞
