In the beginning of the week she was standing a bit crooked. I will be mainlining soon and I want her central stem to be strong. So I tied her stem to a chop-stick to do a bit of low stress training prior to topping her. At the end of the week, I topped her as step one in mainlining. Also took her top and attempted a clone. There were 4 girls that germinated on the same day. This one is the healthiest and had one more node than her sisters. I will wait a week and then top her sisters. She was well over 9" tall before topping. Also hit the hydro store and picked up some Fishsh!t and Recharge. Added that, worm castings and some Down to Earth dry amendments to brew up a compost tea. Gave her a big sip on 3/4 after topping her. We'll see how she looks next week. Check out the 2.99 humidity dome that my hubby made for me. Picked up a clear (except for the flowers on the sides) tote at the dollar store. He used plastic tops from QT to create vents at the top of the dome. It's nice and tall for my clones.

Easy strain without extra care.

Checked out the trichomes yesterday, just to be sure, I think they’re 2-4 weeks away from harvest. This week I also fed them and slightly defoliated some leaves that were blocking light on some buds.

Buds are lovely and fat and very sticky. The smell is very strong.

Ok let’s go! She’s doing so amazing! She’s catching up at such a fast rate! I guess that’s brand new genetics for you plus that added Zamnripper umph combined force lol I trimmed away the lower leaves off her and she loved it appreciated it and boosted up! Dynomyco is obviously doing it’s thing too helping her get to canopy! And with help of the new light TSW2000 from mars hydro it will be a better outcome! I continue to give her a little spray a few times a day only lightly but it helps with the low humidity! I am in 2 minds with the flip! Like do I wait for this to go 4 weeks at least or just go for it so I’ll decide very soon! As that’s in a few days lol so she’ll be 3.5 weeks! So should be alright!

DIF meaning difference between day and night temp. Usually DIF is positive when day temperature is greater than night, which is naturally. But by manipulating your DIF in negative (Warmer night temps than day temp) we do reduce 30% of stem elongation AKA stretch. — Negative DIF in hydro growing can greatly impact in yields if the stretch being controlled right way. • 12/9 - 2nd uppest new shoot length: 3cm / 1.2" (new measurement @ 12/10 night) 📆 12/9 - Topped res with 3ml Terpinator, 1ml Bloom & 1ml HG. - EC topped to 1.8 (1.6 was starting)

Cytokinins stopped stretch so ima keep lights at current height given havent seen burn or bleaching. One pheno sharp candy getting sweeter n milder, 2nd pheno is similar to my bubba diagonal i grew here. I guess not bad for week 4 in 3 gallon bags but i hope they start filling in?

All look good. Very bushy. Giving them full dose of nutes and high light intensity. No stress signs.

In this week, i defoliated most of the (very) sick leaves on both plants. Afghan Kush is really bushy, Blueberry not so much, she skinny. Both smell absolutely great. Both continue to sweel and grow. We are now, same as in the BPP diary, in what i call the "mostly boring" state. its nice to see the visual changes in the timelapse, but other than that, not much to do besides water them. Both have discontinued to show any new or lets say worse signs of any deficiencies, there are now some overfeeding signs but i rather have that then them trying to creep by. Watering reduced to 2.2L for each to account for them taking to long to dry out. Roots are STACKED, the soil is almost solid by them. Next grow will be in airpots since i also expect root issues here(ringroots or the like, maybe damage due to overwatering in like week 3/4). Timelapse i will add tomorrow. Well its another update from down under.. and things are getting better with the Caramelo. She got badly burnt from my mistake of using too strong lime sulfur spray to treat spider mites and mold issues before they could take hold. And its kinda worked. lols...the mites are still there but reduced alot in number but I was almost ready to chop her after I saw how badly burnt all her new shoots were. But Im glad I decided to wait a bit as she has recovered faster than expected and while im sure she still has issue at the root level from the rain drenching her for near on a week- she basically stunted after that and never showed much stretch at all when switching to flower-she grew maybe 15cms in height total after that so Im assuming some kind of root rot has her and any harvest will be a bonus. In saying that Im still not going to be suprised if she suddenly dies or gets badly infected with bud rot out of the blue as Im nursing her hard just to get her to this stage and in my experience a nursed plant may produce a yield but it will be weaker than its meant to be and reduced by around 50% of the yield you should have got. if she was indoor id have ripped her out after the sighs she was stunted presented and started over with a new plant. But out doors I dont have that luxury so I will nurse her thru and hope for the best but expect less than average results. Zkittles though is loving life and just LOOK at her!! When you realize she was the same size as the Caramelo when the rain hit and now look at the difference- thats why i say when you see obvious signs of stunting-rip the plant if you can and start over, it may recover but if it was serious then the plant will never show its true potential and you may think those genetics are shit. Ive never grown the Caramelo before now so if i judge it on this result I will say the genetics are shit when the plant likely had root rot from 3 weeks before even switching to flower. And the BC buds hash plant is FINALLY flowering too now. For a 90% indica it sure is taking the longest to flower. I wonder if its the old school genetics at play here-This strain been around since the 70's while the ZkittleZ is a modern hybrid so maybe the newer genetics really are all they are cracked up to be. Thats why I love doing side by side grows out doors with diff genetics and see what they can really do. You should see my mates BC hashys- lmao, he said he wanted bigger plants than last year as he got "bonsai" plants from someone else. Now he has to tie down trees that are growing over his 6ft fence!! And they only just went into flower last week. But on that note- Will update more now as things progress towards harvest. Absolutely LOVE this strain. She has only been curing for a little over a week but I had to try her. She is one of the 3 most potent strains I have ever consumed, tastes like grapes on the inhale, and then on the exhale it tastes like a classic chemdawg, piney and gassey. You will feel the effects by the time you finish exhaling. I lover her so much I am going to run her back after I take a little break to travel. The only thing I regret with this grow is that I used much too small of a final container. No fault of the genetics, it was all me. I will run her back in a 12.5 gallon container and see what happens. My goal is to run 2 photoperieods every year, and get a Kilogram off each plant. Might be somewhat ambitious but I enjoy challenging myself and improving. I cannot wait to squeeze this lady, but I want to give her a few more weeks in the jars first. I will post some videos down the line. If anyone wants a quick pound or two of some potent ass indica leaning flower, this is your girl. I honestly don't know how I could even bring myself to grow another autoflower after smoking this lady.....She blows every auto I ever grew out of the water.
