Cookie Monster is a moderately potent pure Indica strain with an average THC content of around 18% and CBD levels at 0.3%. It resulted from crossbreeding GSC and OG Kush, leading to a delicious strain that won the category ‘Best Indica’ in the 2014 Seattle Cannabis Cup. It has been hugely popular ever since. Growers should prepare for a moderately challenging strain with visually stunning plants that reach medium heights and reward knowledgeable growers with abundant yields ranging up to 500g/m². The aroma is very enjoyable with mint, wood, and some vanilla. The taste is even more mouthwatering with added lemon, menthol, and slightly skunky notes. Cookie Monster is quite a beast when it comes to the high it packs, with euphoric effects that will have your mind soaring in no time. Expect a happy experience with shifts in focus and some psychoactive effects. This is followed by a lethargy that quickly turns into sleepiness. Cookie Monster has become a go-to strain for medical patients seeking relief from multiple sclerosis, spasms, migraines, insomnia, and even arthritis.

Mmmkay.. 3 weeks from chop, 2 weeks in jars, we grew 5 using different techniques and I dont know if that’s the reason but they smell different.. number 2 gave the best yield, least amount of stress and smells exactly like GSCs should. She’s delicious and dessert like! 1 was second highest yielded, similar level of stress but the smell is not as strong as #2, it’s more like sweet bread than dessert.. and 3/4/5 yielded terribly as expected with their high levels of stress and smells even more mild and like bread. I think it’s because the stressed out buds are leafier making the cure more crucial. I’m very satisfied as I grew for concentrates not smokable flower anyway and these wash well but even with number 2 smelling yummy enough to be smoked, and I do like a flavour change every now and then, I’m not really a cookies girl at heart. I like to smoke hashy weed. So it’s not a fair comparison. But she hits beautifully. And that’s why I keep coming back to cookies strains. They make consistently good medicine which makes for easy dosing. Well rounded, balanced, thorough high with all the relief, comfort and good vibes you need. As for concentrates, she yields great! And that was the intended purpose!! We’ve been hashing and extracting and cooking up delicious test batches of medicine and lovely topicals from the trim/smalls and have sent out the testers to loved ones. They agree, this is good. This was a trial run, we have 5 more seeds planned for the patio this spring and it’s an easy decision to go ahead with the original plan and run these again. Now that we know the strain better we can give her better care and I look forward to pulling more precious oils next time. I’m happy with this pick. She was as advertised, grew as expected and gave me what I wanted. Highly recommend if you like concentrates and you want to grow some very pretty looking and ultra discreet plants, highly recommend not stressing her out much for best results. We’ve jarred up #2 for smoking and started processing the rest of the cured flower.
