Northern Lights

Polárka is the winner of this diary for me. It did ripen two weeks later than the rest of the crew, but it made up for it in yield. It easily beats the others in terms of quantity, aroma, and flavor. Plus, not a hint of spotted leaves the whole time until harvest. Super resilient just like the widow. The weight in the photo isn't total, but plus about 7-10g. I burned some before weighing (high date) and I also gave away some samples.

Right after opening the jar, the aroma comes through with that classic earthy sweetness mixed with pine and a slightly spicy undertone. Breaking up the buds releases even more depth, with a creamy herbal smell that instantly fills the room. The buds themselves came out dense, frosty, and surprisingly colorful with deep green and purple hues hidden under a heavy layer of trichomes. Definitely one of the prettier harvests I’ve had in a while. The smoke is super smooth after cure. Thick flavorful hits without harshness, and the ash burns clean. Flavor-wise it leans earthy and sweet on the inhale with a slightly woody/spicy finish on the exhale. Effects hit fast but stay very balanced. It starts with a calm uplifting head buzz before melting into a deep relaxing body high without completely knocking you out. Perfect evening smoke — strong enough to unwind after a long day but still functional if you keep the dosage reasonable. Overall, really happy with how this Northern Lights finished. Easygoing grow, great terp profile, and exactly the kind of relaxing smoke you hope for from this strain.

Super strain that delivers well despite an incredibly short flowering time. Also handled stress really well and I think it can be shaped into a nicely filled canopy with more LST. Great start for the year.

First plant down! It was the biggest plant of them all, and it provided 236g wet bud. I didn't even weight the smaller buds. Three plants left, i will update how much they weighted when their times comes! Northern Lights was and easy strain to grow. And it didn't smell much as promised at the start of the flower, but after week 4 the smell really started to show. Maybe not as much as some other strains. Dry bud from first plant: 65g. Two of the plants have been drying two days, and third one will be cut down today. I will keep you updated about the weight. Second plant wet bud: 158g. Total dry weight is around 150-200g, im too lazy to put all of them on scale... Smoked a little yesterday. Good smoke, makes you relaxed and zero paranoia! 16/4/26 Plants have been curing about a month now, and the look, taste and smell are very good. If you're going somewhere in the next couple hours, don't smoke much. Uploaded new picture.

9/10 Grew 4 of them in total, she flowers pretty fast, grew like a champ. Can take all kind of training and will keep going strong. A pleasure to grow and got the sativa characteristics (leaves, bud structure). Buds came out with lots of orange hair and a bit airy (not too much still got that dense feel), a bit a pain for the trimming but worth it! The taste is just great, got that fruity aroma but still a night time kind of feel. Love the taste, in hits or joints. A classic. Recommended to any growiers

Northern Lights (Norton) — Rating: 8/10 "Review made after 10 days of curing. I prefer smoking it after 9 PM. The high is introspective — not great for socializing, but perfect for watching a movie or disconnecting. I feel heaviness in the face, head, and legs, along with a warm, relaxing body sensation. Sleepiness comes gradually, with a still-organized mind. The flavor reminded me of something earthy and peppery, with a mild but pleasant aroma." O sabor me lembrou algo mais terroso e apimentado, com um cheiro não muito forte, mas ainda assim bem agradável."

One of my all time favorites!

I have to be honest, I don't like the taste. She grew beautiful and produced some nice sugary buds, and they are strong. But they are pretty fluffy and the taste is plant grassy like, I guess very old skool, but to me very boring.. Yield dry: 88 grams

Overall growing Seedstockers' Northern Lights was a great experience. Both of my other plants in the same soil-mix/nutrients this run had some Calcium problems leading to necrosis on the leafs. This one just did not. I'm guessing her root system must have been more capable?! Another thing which surprised me was the consistency of fresh-from-the-plant mashed trichomes between the fingers. Usually that to me feels a little sandy and mostly sticky. Not on this plant though .. this was very fine and almost oily. Interestingly this difference doesn't effect smell or potency - which are both absolutely great! There _was_ a minor, strangey-planty aftertaste when consumed early after the drying process, but that completely disappeared during the cure.

after a wonderful performenc i was able to harvest a good crop. unfortunately i was not able to dry under ideal conditions and mould developed. unfortunately only 8g dry weight remained from the 236g buds i initially harvested. a real shame.

Ziel erreicht. Eine echt coole Sorte. Keinerlei Probleme von Anfang bis Ende. Im Duft sind sich die fetten sehr ähnlich. Nur der Waterhashpheno hat einen eindeutigen Afghanduft. Ich bin super zufrieden.

Würde ich wieder growen :)

Northern lights grew great in the pro mix hp bag. She has a nice earthy, citrus aroma. Lots of frost, and the colas look nice and dense. I am just harvesting today. I will update on smoke report once I get it processed. Update: Good Taste and great potency. 165.8 grams of good dense potent flower. It was a good grow and lives up to its legendary status.
