One of the most known strains around the globe, Northern Lights originates from a cross between Afghani and Thai landraces, making it one of the most potent strains available back in 1985, with around 13% THC levels at the time, it now boasts 16-21%. This is a relatively easy-to-grow strain with a quick flowering time of 45 to 50 days, making it highly recommended for beginner growers who seek short, compact strains with an increased resistance to mold and powdery mildew Northern Lights offers a very complex mix of pungent, sweet, and spicy aromas. Expect a strong herbal background with hints of pepper and citrus, with, oftentimes, touches of sandalwood and pine. This unique terpene profile translates into that classic weed flavor with a prominent taste of pure hashish. This strain delivers a very powerful effect that’s perfect for medical patients. I have to be honest, I don't like the taste. She grew beautiful and produced some nice sugary buds, and they are strong. But they are pretty fluffy and the taste is plant grassy like, I guess very old skool, but to me very boring.. Yield dry: 88 grams

Overall growing Seedstockers' Northern Lights was a great experience. Both of my other plants in the same soil-mix/nutrients this run had some Calcium problems leading to necrosis on the leafs. This one just did not. I'm guessing her root system must have been more capable?! Another thing which surprised me was the consistency of fresh-from-the-plant mashed trichomes between the fingers. Usually that to me feels a little sandy and mostly sticky. Not on this plant though .. this was very fine and almost oily. Interestingly this difference doesn't effect smell or potency - which are both absolutely great! There _was_ a minor, strangey-planty aftertaste when consumed early after the drying process, but that completely disappeared during the cure.

after a wonderful performenc i was able to harvest a good crop. unfortunately i was not able to dry under ideal conditions and mould developed. unfortunately only 8g dry weight remained from the 236g buds i initially harvested. a real shame.

Ziel erreicht. Eine echt coole Sorte. Keinerlei Probleme von Anfang bis Ende. Im Duft sind sich die fetten sehr ähnlich. Nur der Waterhashpheno hat einen eindeutigen Afghanduft. Ich bin super zufrieden.

Northern lights grew great in the pro mix hp bag. She has a nice earthy, citrus aroma. Lots of frost, and the colas look nice and dense. I am just harvesting today. I will update on smoke report once I get it processed. Update: Good Taste and great potency. 165.8 grams of good dense potent flower. It was a good grow and lives up to its legendary status.

Chopped these ladies after 60 days of flowering. These plants produced some very tasty buds! There was not much difference in taste between the two plants. They both taste sweet with citrus undertones and a very smooth smoke. These girls were good for smoking right after drying and a breeze to trim! Although the terps were on point the flower was not very frosty or potent and lacking density. these traits are something you expect from a legendary strain like Northern Lights. I chucked my mother plants as well because they started to flower in veg under a 18/6 light schedule. I'm not sure if it was my growing methods or the genetics from Royal Queen seeds, this take on Northern Lights really missed the mark for me.

It grew beautifully in the vegetive state. Fast and healthy. Responding well to nutrients. Unfortunately she turned into a hermaphrodite the second week of pre flower, and was destroyed.

I had no issues at all running this cultivar. She was a dream to grow. She is LOUD though. Skunky, funky sweetness. Update: I ended up with 1.9 pounds after dry and trim. Nugs are rockhard and dense.

She hit a few issues along the way and I've had to chop her due to multiple mould spots being sighted, lost around 150g wet flower but have saved around 400g of wet flower, now time to keep a close eye kn the dry and pray there's no more mould about.

Eine tolle und robuste Pflanze mit schönen Blüten und einer guten Wuchsform, durch mangelndes Licht wurde sie leider nicht so üppig wie sie vermutlich werden konnte. Aber sie hat eine sehr feinen holzigen Duft und ist ziemlich klebrig.

Unfortunately I had to remove the two main colas in the last week of flowering due to bud rot. Interestingly this was not the case for the two 00Skunk plant which were grown in parallel. Also they didn't show any deficiency while the Northern Lights showed lack of Magnesium in week 4 of veg. Either I was unlucky with my pheno or genetics are weak on this strain. The freshly harvested buds are really dense and resinous though and give a very tasty smell, so I'm happy with that!

This plant was so fun to grow. I didnt know what I was doing when starting and didnt which breeder to go with, hell I didnt know to look for breeders, I just wanted to look for some strains I liked growing up. I ordered these beans from attitidue seed bank and they turned out ok. This plant grew up healthy the whole time then shocked me in flower when it got fat and started filling out. This plant smells like left out in the sun ,pissed on cheese lol, for real I know it sounds gross but its funky as hell, or was....
