*6/2 Light* - Summer Pink Kush

...so, these have been a bit of a good luck turn around one. Started them in root riots...slept in one saturday (Damn Whiskey) and the riots dried out (they had only broke maybe a day or 2). The RR's were that dry, the seedling was spinning freely 360 in them and wilted...thought them dead but tried watering them anyway and they did their damnedest to come round (took a week or so)...so, thought fuck it - thought these may be good for keeping as mother clones... I changed them from being under a 60W 6400K CFL to the 15W e-saver 6500K LED bulb I did the last batch of seedlings with and i think literally, I have found the best propagation bulb on the market!!! Tiniest wee 1st leaves were showing so potted them in some Nursery pots, with John Innes #1 Seedling and cutting compost and cut it even further as 5:1:1 of JI#1:Sharp Sand:Agri grit and within 3 days, they were the 1st set of pics....within the week the 2nd set of true leaves were near an inch wide girth and hanging over the side of the 3" nursery pot so I washed of the dirt (really easy with that mix, its soo sandy it just fell away) and had a nice big cluster of 1" roots hanging and into the clay they went under the 600W MH's. They're already doing better than the 2 Strawberry lemonade I have going (they had some early root problem, same issues with the Root Riots...keeping the moisture right and overwatered and probs transplanted to Hydroton too soon - new growth is happening on one and some new internodes starting so it looks like it may now be a keeper). Now have a problem of a glut of riches as since I thought these were gonners, I planted 2 Wedding Cake and have now done the same with them (planted into Cut John innes #1 at 5:1:1) and they're coming along rightly now (as soon as the protruding roots are protected by this stuff, they explode!!!). Giving one of the strawberry Lemonade a week more to see if it bursts into life and if it doesnt, a wedding cake will go in there and 1 WC will be kept as a bonsai mother - I may also diary that). Was really scared of the dirt to hydro transplant due to all the horror stories but they have taken to it immediately and are already thriving. Probably helps that the amount of cut soil used is quite minimal in the small 3" pots and the RR takes up about 2/3rds of the volume of the pot. Transplant was done by washing off the soil in 25degree C tap water in a 15L bucket that was pH'd to 5.8 and no other additives...the JI#1 is quite high in sand and me adding more along with potting grit meant as soon as the root ball hit the water, there was only the RR left with clean rotos hanging. Will defs try this in the future as a propagation method as it really gives the roots a chance but have just invested in an X-Stream Propagator and a fogger so next attempt at propagation with be with Fogponics to see how that goes.
