The two beautiful Critical Kush plants came from another diary. They sprouted fast and came up strong.
I was amazed. Because after soaking for 24 hrs I don't think they even cracked the shell. I do not know the breeder. Got these through a trade with Tonio, who I'm sorry to say had to stop growing. They were only labeled Critical Kush. With gold lettering on the sticker. No other marks. ?????
These 2 girls came from my other diary. I think I have decided to put them outdoors also, with the Blue OG. They are both Critical Kush from unknown breeder. These girls look good from the start. I will wish later I knew who the breeder was I'm sure. Let's see how things go first. They will all go in the greenhouse first from the grow box, before transitioning to full outdoors. They may not end up in the ground.
Transplanted last night and moved to greenhouse. These 2 girls are doing great from the start. One is taller #8 So we will see. They had no problem with the sun today. Looking strong and happy.
These plants are liking there new home. Growth has been amazing. Everything seems to be going well. Except it's raining now. We will see how the rebuilt greenhouse holds up.
These girls are identical besides height.
#8 is 23 inches
#9 is 20.5 inches
I could not be happier with there growth. I need 24 more inches before June 15 ( today is May 18 ). This could work. I do not have an exact location yet. But Im working on that, all the time. Too many variables in my mind. #1 - Sun pattern
# 2 - alien light sources (neibors)
# 3 - line of sight
# 4 - don't want to kill the lawn (who cares)
So it's getting down to the wire. I tell myself "Dont panic!!I You will figure it out". I need to smoke a bowl. Where is the Crinkle. Lol
There doing great at 36 inches. Looking healthy and getting 4 and 1/2 hrs extra light. Growing fast that is for sure. Did some defoliation bottom carp. Found thrips so I had to spray. Hope I killed them.
Transplanted last night also. This is #9 she was a few inches taller than her sister. She is in a 30 gal fabric pot with a special mix of soil. She has her first cage on. A little super cropping went on. But I'm unsure what path I will take this year, as far as training and trimming. But let's start this show, so grab a chair, roll one and enjoy the show. We still have well over 2 months of veg left. She is already stinking up the yard. Today is June 9 2018.
Her sister is going to stay in the greenhouse. She will stay in the background. But may disappear from this diary all together. Sorry.
Ok the sisters are split up. #8 is inside the greenhouse, and has not been topped. She was transplanted into a 30 gallon felt pot. And is doing great. #9 is outside and has been topped everywhere. Her secondary branches are coming out nicely.
Outside #9 .... she is doing great. She looks to be starving, turning pale green. I have always fed her newts at every water. So I increased the newts... to 680 PPM and 6.75 ph. She is getting 30 gallons a week... all and all, she is doing great all things considered.....
Inside #8 .... she is also doing great. Cleaned her legs of all the draining bullshit, so she should put all her energy on branching. Which will fill her out. I have not topped anything on her. She has #1 position in the greenhouse....
Both plants are flowering..... the one outside started 2 weeks earlier. She was the larger plant #8 . That is no longer true #9 in the greenhouse is now larger. We may be removing the roof before over.
Well the plant outside is being attacked by my most hated pest mini catapillars. Both plants are in flower for one outside is further along. Smells unbelievable. I will have to do something about the caterpillars or they will devastate me.
The pictures are from the plant outside only. She is flowery nicely. She has had a bout with catapillars, I hate them. She smells wonderful. Each branch is turning into lumps of colas.
She is doing good... her sister might just get the axe. Battling PM ... humidity is 94% at night outside.... in the greenhouse it's worse.. I may just chop her.... I'm sure as I write this, I can bring the one outside to harvest. I'm doing everything..... but I'm loosing the battle. This is killing me...
So as much as I would like to let her grow and finish, I'm not going to be able to do so. She has at least 2 weeks left. But the battle is constant. The high humidity has been killing me. I have done everything to try to control the powdery mildew. I think I'm going to chop her, before I loose it all. This year sucks. I don't have answers, this is a battle I have never fought before. It all out of my control. She is very heavy, and thick. From where I sit I just dont see any other option. It's just wrong.
This diary is done.... plant was packed.... early harvest.... and alot looks, smells and feels great. This is probably the best Banzai tree I have ever done. Just a beautiful pheno.
This turned out very nice. With all of the powdery mildew issues, I'm pleased with the outcome. It is seriously some kick your ass weed. It makes me stupid, its really for relaxing and doing nothing. Its really good. And taste is f**king delicious. So you can say I'm happy.
Ok I used the Trimbag and I am very pleased with the results. Saved me a lot of time, really saved my ass and hands from hours of trimming. This plant was just a dream... short and stocky literary no stretch in flower just kept growing at the same pace. A very nice pheno, her sister went crazy... all and all I couldn't be happier with this one. I will grow more of these seeds out, looking for this same pheno. Thanks to Barney's Farm and Trimbag..... you two kick ass.
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, well despite the name, I'm no farmer. But by experience I'm sure 30 will be enough for me. I just might have to set up another drip system. To keep them watered.
@Teamdirtbag2, a lot of growers are going back to the good old No Till method. A 30 gal pot would be perfect to maintain the roots osmosis during all life cycle , perhaps with some clovers on top dressing to fix some Nitrogen for the stretch. Technically a good soil full of beneficials bacteries is good enough for a full life cycle.
@JUNGLE_B4RNS,hey dont get me wrong I will see temps to 95° farenheit. But it should be no problem. And I'm changing up this year. I will use 30 gallon felt pots (smart pots). So pray for me to someone, or just anyone.
@Teamdirtbag2, Yeah it will take time but will be so worth it ! 😁 Oh nice ! You just got my curiosity raised with that secret seed stash haha. Do love a good old pheno hunt ! Never grown single colas in 15 years of growing, mabey its time to give it a try...
@biggreens420, yeah.... you just have to test for yourself, you will see... 15 % that's a little too dry. Lmao... but when you got 2 lbs it's the way for me.... but not 15% more like 58% is where I like to be in the end... 👊
@Teamdirtbag2,yeah I thought that it's just when I looked it up online it said at use it when your harvest is around 15% rh and I thought to myself I would never let my harvest dry to 15% never mind trim at 15% im gonna give it a go its just with different strains theres not really enough as u said so im gonna wait untill iv got a decent amount of one strain to try it
@biggreens420, so I tried it with a small auto.... maybe 80+ grams...and I felt that it was not enough weed to work so well. I'm sure I could run 2 lbs at a time and it would work great. It's all about timing....you want the outside crispy, with moisture still inside...
@Teamdirtbag2,i think this is one of the great things of being part of this community ,the people you meet the exchange you make and the knowledge you share🙏
@Tonino, thanks again brother... I could not have done this one with out your kindness. I would never have bought that seed.... I would have bought other crap.... guaranteed... so Thanks my Friend 👊
@@hillman, she was a beast... thanks, honestly the bud was hit or miss on flavor, I should have harvested her earlier. But seriously a beautiful girl in the end. I didn't smoke very much of her, she was donated to a friend for tea. Always share 😁.....
@Experimentgreen, You Really Have To Pay Better Attention... step up your game... I don't know... but I may be able to set you up with a cheat sheet .. since you are unable to attend .... hey I want the lid bad really bad...
Really.... ??? When you are scraching your head... wondering WTF... .. I'm not rambling .. hello....(well maybe I am but..)....there is meaning to it... maybe you should ask why ??? Sometimes I seriously wonder... ??? Do you get it..?? Ok .. just ask for help.. I will explain everything.... you just might understand the magic for a moment.
@Experimentgreen, hahahahahaha.. you're funny...I wish I said it myself... thanks... she was beautiful... I still kick myself.. I should have taken a clone....
