pre-soaked the seeds in a glass of water until they sank, then planted directly into pots. using gronest 20L fabric pots, that surprising enough hold at least 30L of soil. using gold label special mix soil. kept under a dome for the first 3 days until the stalk became visible
as a noob, no idea what i was doing, i noticed the main fan leaves blocking light from new shoots..so on 2/3 plans, i decided to snip off 2 of the main fan leaves so the branch-shoots could get more light. wont be doing that again next run.
fed 0.5L per pot, and kept watching untill they finished that.proceeded to 0.75L per feed as they grew.kept PH stable at 6.1, gradually bumped up the aptus nutrient to 2ml/L (started off at 1ml/L for the first 2 feeds) and used half a RQS grow booster tablet (rec dosage for autos)
skipping up to present day, nearing end of week 9. i only used defoliation, and preferably leaf-tucking rather then snipping them off, making sure all flower sites got as much light as possible. in hindsight, i should have kept closer watch to snip off the smaller popcorn buds that appeared mid-flower instead of only caring about light penetration to budsites.i've learned a lot about proper watering and defoliation aswell as nutrients, so next run is bound to be better, using plagron-royal sugar during veg,and greenhousefeeding- flowering nutrients topped off with green sensation & ofc coconut water. from flush i only kept using the coconut water at 10ml/L and kept PH always at 6.1
might be me, on account of my noobyness and a few mistakes along the way, but the taste is completely not what i expected, much more of a pine-flavor, not sweet as the name of the strain implies :/ yield is good tho
@Simian5,yup, started flushing halfway through week 8.and they are now in week 10. in theory their 'due date' is next wednesday but im keeping close watch & still seeing way more white pistles then i'd like.i'm also using a lil trick i picked up from this grower on YT, adding 10ml/L of coconut water from flowering till harvest day.so even in flush, they get a little something-something ^^
