Kicked things off by popping the seed into a small shot glass of water with a ph of 5.8 & hid it away in a warm dark airing cupboard for 18hrs (Not sure if ph is important for this stage but did anyway)
After 18hrs of soaking I gave the seed a gentle tap & watched it fall to the bottom of the glass. I then poured the glass of water & seed into a paper towel & placed in a sealed container for a further 18hrs back in the warm & dark airing cupboard until the seed had produced a tap root which was roughly 2/3cm long.
Once the grow tent was prepared & at the correct conditions I put the tap root into the medium with the root aiming down & loosely dropped some of the medium to cover & dribbled about 40ml of Ph water (5.8) over the top of the seedling & placed the bottom of a coke bottle over her to help with humidity. 12hrs later she broke the surface!
A stressful week of thinking I’ve underwatered & then overwatered & thinking not much is happening she really picked up towards the end of the week & is looking strong 💪🏻
40ml on day 1 ( water 5.8ph)
50ml on day 4 (water 5.8ph)
0.5l on day 7 (water/0.5ml Calmag 5.8ph)
Spraying the seedling during lights out as medium starts to dry out
After seeing a real increase in growth this week I’m fairly happy with how she’s going but still concerned that she’s a little on the small side after comparing mine to others🙄
Still not 100% sure if I’m watering properly by watering every 3 days now with half a litre of water with a 0.5ml drop of calmag mixed in 🤷♂️🏻
She’s really started to explode this past week & everything looks as if it’s going well. I’ve increased the nutrients slightly over the week with no issues so far.
Ive kept the watering at half a litre every 3 days this week but have just upped that to 700ml with a full dose of nutrients on day 20 as she’s starting to fill out really well
Obsessed over this grow & really enjoying it!
