Still too cold to put outside so I’ll hold off on transplanting. April 26: Plants seem a bit yellowish and I think it’s due to the well water having too much sodium. This can cause a magnesium deficiency especially when it’s a bit cool for the plants. This also seems to be affecting tomato seedlings so I’m going to have to fix that soon. Some crushed limestone to exchange sodium for calcium should fix the water problem. April 28: first FPJ worked. Applied lights out foliar spray of LAB, FPJ and potassium silicate. April 29: planted out despite low overnight temp risk. Should be okay but will have to be careful to cover overnight.

Very hot during this heat wave with six days in a row well above 30 C. Despite heat the plants are growing nicely. Golosa has grown much faster than an inch per day lately. June 30: historic heat wave. Hit 36 C here yesterday, today and likely tomorrow.

Sep 21: she has started to turn purple which I didn’t really expect. There are more small leaves on this plant than on the Unknown Kush or 11Roses so the buds aren’t as impressive as on those other two plants, but overall it still looks pretty good. There might also a surprisingly good yield.

Sep 30: flowers are maturing but they need a bit more time and sunlight. Will try to harvest as late as possible. Oct 3: took 1,100 g wet buds in three rounds. Buds are not fully formed due to lack of strong sunlight but still pretty good. Leafier than the 11Roses or Unknown Kush both of which had nicer final buds. Made hash using material from 11Roses, Unknown Kush and Golosa. Used 334 g dry and got 36.5 g of nice pressed hash marbles (passing 120 micron, caught on 45 micron). 😎👍👍 Lab tested at 43.7 % THC. 😎👍👍

Nice plant had a surprisingly big yield of about 280 g dried. Buds weren’t quite as nice as the other two Delicious Seeds plants (11Roses and Unknown Kush) and it was a bit leafier.

Harvested in four separate chops with the final one being after four nights of well below 0 C. Those final buds seemed a bit mushy but it didn’t matter as it that fourth chop all went for hash.

Adding week to show some hash making pics. These are main harvest pics and not from Golosa. Update: lab tested at 56% THC. 😎👍 Rapacap had a good Lebanese landrace diary and other hash stuff, but he seems to have deleted his account. Check out Frenchy Cannoli videos if you want to learn how to make hash.

Nice job on the Hash, well done!👌 I smiled when you mentioned Frenchy Cannoli in your comment as I've watched many of his videos as well. Making good Hash is difficult at best and I can tell you've got it figured out. 😁 Good luck on your 2022 Outdoor Grow 😁

@Northern_Ent, This is the most interesting thing I have heard all day, I had no idea that was part of the licensing process. No wonder your product looks so good and consistent. Check out my hash products in my Super Veg diary, I think youll quickly see I need to implement a SOP 😁
Northern_Ent
Northern_Entcommented3 years ago
@Grisly, thanks. Frenchy’s videos are great, and I love the process of making hash. Because I’m licensed, I actually had to write up a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) detailing how to make hash and submit it to Health Canada. Having written SOPs for regular work detailing really boring stuff like how to sample water and soil, I think it’s hilarious to have written one for hash making. 🇨🇦

Northern_Entcommented3 years ago
@PremiumBudsEU, thanks. I love making hash as much or more than growing. Some tips: 1) move water through bag not bag through water 2) small washing machine works great for extraction 3) Frenchy used 45 micron passing 120 and you don’t really need the other sizes 4) search Amazon for heat presses or use the wine bottle method to press. The biggest hurdle is a freeze dryer to safely and quickly dry the resin after extraction. Cheers.
