Nice plant had a surprisingly big yield of about 280 g dried. Buds werenβt quite as nice as the other two Delicious Seeds plants (11Roses and Unknown Kush) and it was a bit leafier.
Harvested in four separate chops with the final one being after four nights of well below 0 C. Those final buds seemed a bit mushy but it didnβt matter as it that fourth chop all went for hash.
Smoke review
Nice big yielding plant even beat 11Roses. This is an Early Version but Iβm so far North (53 N) that I force flowered it for the last two weeks of July. Iβm sure this plant would not have worked here without the forcing. The buds could have used more strong sunlight, so I will force photoperiods starting about July 1 next year. The UV light drops quickly here after mid-August.
Nice buds but they were not as nice as 11Roses or, my favourite, the Unknown Kush. There was just a single tiny bit of bud rot, but really it was quite robust and did great.
Smoke is quite enjoyable and she is a well balanced hybrid.
Nice job on the Hash, well done!π I smiled when you mentioned Frenchy Cannoli in your comment as I've watched many of his videos as well. Making good Hash is difficult at best and I can tell you've got it figured out. π Good luck on your 2022 Outdoor Grow π
@Northern_Ent, This is the most interesting thing I have heard all day, I had no idea that was part of the licensing process. No wonder your product looks so good and consistent. Check out my hash products in my Super Veg diary, I think youll quickly see I need to implement a SOP π
@Grisly, thanks. Frenchyβs videos are great, and I love the process of making hash. Because Iβm licensed, I actually had to write up a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) detailing how to make hash and submit it to Health Canada. Having written SOPs for regular work detailing really boring stuff like how to sample water and soil, I think itβs hilarious to have written one for hash making. π¨π¦
@ManicMiner, thanks. Yes she did alright. Iβll force the photoperiods two or three weeks earlier next year. I could see the bud quality dropping as the light got weaker later in the fall.
Hi mate, thanks for the tips with the BT for the caterpillars π
Some awesome outdoor grows you have here mate. Iβm on the other side of the world to you, but seems like we use similar force flowering techniques. Cheers π»
@Scandinavia, check out YouTube videos by Frenchy Cannoli. He was a true master and he explains each step. Rap_a_cap here on Growdiaries has some interesting hash making diaries. Cheers.
@PremiumBudsEU, thanks. I love making hash as much or more than growing. Some tips: 1) move water through bag not bag through water 2) small washing machine works great for extraction 3) Frenchy used 45 micron passing 120 and you donβt really need the other sizes 4) search Amazon for heat presses or use the wine bottle method to press. The biggest hurdle is a freeze dryer to safely and quickly dry the resin after extraction. Cheers.
