Last little project for a minute. Get some real variety going *GRIN*
Day 2: Banana Kush and Strawberry Cheesecake seeds cracked.
Day 3: All 4 cracked. Into 3 gallons of FFOF each.
4-20-21: All 4 up! Welcome to my Garden :)
For my own sanity 4-22-21 will be day 1 for all 4 plants.
All four are up. The sour diesel is struggling a little bit, but she's gonna make it I think.
3rd run on autoflowers. Last run was significantly better than my first. Gonna see if I can notch it up again.
The sour diesel seems like I should give up on it, but I have some extra room right now, so what the hell... Give er a chance.
Moved the plants about 12" closer to the light.
Already getting some branching on a couple of these. Might start LST very early.
Coming along. I really need to get them closer to the light at this point.
I think tonight I might have the room to re-organize.
I will begin their nutrients now. I assume they will be hungry soon.
Well so far:
The Banana Kush is a very hungry/thirsty one. She drinks and eats more than anyone.
The Strawberry Cheesecakeis a nice stout densely flowered lady. This is the kind of auto I like.
The Purple punch is a friggin monster! Lots of bud sites on her. Structure seems pretty good as well.
The Sour Diesel. This lady... Started slow but really caught up and in the process decided to split her top! I have never seen this before. I love weirdos.
So all in all fun, but to be honest, my veg area cannot handle this and when the ruderalis phenos show up with their loose ass nugs...
Don't get me wrong. I grew a speed+ not too long back that was amazing, so it happens. It's just that I have grown 4 to finish so far and really liked one of them.
These Limited edition seeds might just change my mind though... I know the Photoperiods from black friday absolutely blew my mind! Hope these are similar quality.
We'll see :)
They suffered a drought over the weekend. I went on vacation and although heavily watered before I left dried up pretty good.
I think they had a good 2 day wilt on them when I got back.
There is some yellowing and there was actually crispy leaves. :(
They are already bouncing back, but likely harvest size will be decreased.
Resin is beginning to form so that I can get some smell smears lol.
The BK has the most remarkable smells of the four. I love to get smells I have never seen before. I can see where they get banana.
The Strawberry Cheesecake is a little small, but very large thick tight buds. I love her flower structure the best of the 4.
The Purple punch is the Biggest of all. Looks like she might have many chunky buds. She has plenty of sites!
The sour diesel smells DANK! Nice tight bud structure on her as well.
Overall pretty excited to see these ladies finish up.
Autos have been fun to experiment with, but I probably will not continue with them after this run. Or, at least not 4 of them again. Takin up my veg tent.
They have recovered from the 4 day drought and are showing signs of picking up the nutrients again finally.
Flower production has exploded in the last week all around.
The Strawberry Cheesecake is a small girl, but my kind of auto. The buds don't resemble ruderalis in the slightest. Smells are very spicy.
The sour D is even smaller, but a stanky wierdo that topped herself. She might be a half of some good smoke I'm guessing.
The Banana Kush is HUGE. Buds have that ruderalis structure that makes me dislike autos. Smells are very interesting.
The Purple Punch is a Giant! Her buds are pretty tight looking and building fast. Smells are wonderful.
Guessing I have at least 2 weeks before anyone starts getting close, but who knows :)
Day 55: Moved Purple punch to 12/12 room due to overcrowding my veg tent.
Banana Kush makin me eat my words. Buds are getting very dense.
Not one of these autos has loose ruderalis flower structure.
Stoked about that.
All four of these ladies are just amazing in their own ways. The SD looks and smells ridiculous. The Strawberry Cheesecake is so dense and resinous. The Banana Kush is a monster that just keeps fattening and tightening up. The Purple Punch reminds me in size and structure of my last ARC. It gave me 2 and a half ounces. All smell wonderful and trichs are developing nicely.
for nutrients.
Depending on what the stigmas look like next week could be the last week or cutoff for nutrients for at least the strawberry cheesecake.
Day 58: Stigmas beginning to change rapidly especially on the SC. Looks like they are beginning to ripen. Predicted order of completion: 1 Strawberry Cheesecake next week. 2 Banana Kush and Sour Diesel 1.5 to 2 weeks. 3 Purple Punch 2 weeks+
The Banana Kush and the Sour Diesel are both showing signs of nutrient deficiency. I have done a poor job of watering these two on time and they have wilted several times. I have given sufficient nutrients for photos, but from my recent readings I think that is too much. This is hard to nail down due to the multiple contributing factors. It could be under or overfertilizing or simply a result of under-watering. No doubt my harvest will suffer a bit. That's how I learn.
Being so close to the end, I will simply water dilligently this week and watch. If i see any more rapid decline, I will flush and lightly fertilize.
Day 60: Flushed BK and SD.
Day 62: Fertilized BK and SD with 3 tsp Big Bloom, 1 tsp tiger bloom, 1/4 tsp cha-ching per gallon water.
Day 63: SC is about 10% amber but still LOTS of white stigmas.
Happy Harvests!
These buds are HUGE and DENSE on this stuff. The smells are dank and fruity with an overwhelming helping of cheese and skunk odor.
Resin production looks solid.
I didn't do any LST so it mostly all went to the main cola. Due to the density and a humidity spike, there was some very minor mold.
I caught it early and only lost a little bud. Harvested a couple days early, but it's STANKY and ready for sure.
I will do this one again for sure with major LST and in a more arid season.
Cannot wait to smoke some!
More updates as she dries/cures...
Update (Dry): Flavor is sweet and cheesy.
Update (Cured): Flavor is incredible! High is soaring and cerebral with a touch of body. Potency seems low and the high doesn't last more than an hour.
That's kind of OK because it just means you get to taste her sweet cheesiness more often.
I love this stuff. But for me, on this lady, the potency is just not there.
Brought her down a couple days early due to the mold. I am glad I caught it when I did. The bud is ready enough for me anyway and I lost maybe a few grams to mold so... oh well. This is a dry season auto for me.
I will update with more data soon.
I have cut the nutrients for all of them.
The Purple Punch looks like she has plenty in the tank.
The Banana Kush and Sour Diesel stamen are quickly reddening and beginning the fade. There is some Trich ambering.
I expect all to finish by next weekend.
Maybe the Purple punch will go a bit longer.
This plant was really fun to grow. She split her top into two main colas on her own.(first for me)
The buds are dense and reek of sour diesel earthiness. Resin production was pretty good.
Trichs ended about 20% amber. Mold resistance on this stuff must be good.
Dense colas showed no mold even in humid conditions.(Strawberry Cheesecake developed botrytis in the same conditions)
More updates as it dries/cures
Holy Banana batman! This thing really smells like bananas with skunky overtones.
She had the loosest of the bud structures of the four autos, but they tightened up a little toward the end.
Resin production is solid and trichs ended about 10% amber.
More to come...
Drooling over this huge BEAUTY!
Buds are super dense and just covered in trichomes.
Trichs are slow to amber maybe 5% now. red stamen 90+% This is more like what I am used to seeing with photos.
Could come down as early as tomorrow...
Very easy. I expect close to two oz's.
Buds are dense and covered in resin.
Not a purple pheno, but who cares.
I might pop another of these next auto run.
@CyanideWrexx, Might do a blue run this fall. Blue Chz, Blue Hz, Blue Dream(seedsman), Blue Dream(ILGM), Blue Moonshine, Blueberry Hash plant, and finally Blueberry. LOL
So many choices and so little room haha
I like how ur style is to let them grow untrained and keep the natural beauty. From what I seen if u start training u will make me look like I'm harvesting peanuts lol
good job!!! le mien arrive a terme aussi je penses une bonne semaine encore j'ai hâte c'est impressionnant la densité des bud!! j'ai l'impression que les phénotype violet se font rare . bon jardinage
