Soaked seeds overnight in 24C water with a pinch of soluble kelp extract. Seeds rolled in mycorrhizae and then planted In Solo cups at 24 C and 65% RH.
These seeds were covered with white fuzz (mould?) because I didn’t let them dry enough before putting them away in the fridge. However the seeds are still firm and hopefully viable. Briefly rinsed then in a 0.3% hydrogen peroxide to deal with the mould, and then soaked overnight in water with kelp extract. Fingers crossed 🤞
Minimal luck with only one of 16 seeds sprouting. Seeds seemed good physically so maybe my H2O2 was too strong at 0.3% or 3,000 ppm. It was just brief, but maybe too much. Will try another batch w/o the hydrogen peroxide.
Nothing germinated in second batch without hydrogen peroxide treatment but using well water. The well water has too much sodium and possibly some reduced sulphur species and it turns out it’s not good for starting seeds. Having much better luck using distilled water.
May 3: trying once again this time with distilled water.
Happy growing! I hope you get some good results! Take care and stay lit! I will drop by sometimes to check on your process! Say hello if you ever visit my page!
