Soaked seeds overnight in 24C water with a pinch of soluble kelp extract. Seeds rolled in mycorrhizae and then planted In Solo cups at 24 C and 65% RH.
These seeds were covered with white fuzz (mould?) because I didn’t let them dry enough before putting them away in the fridge. However the seeds are still firm and hopefully viable. Briefly rinsed then in a 0.3% hydrogen peroxide to deal with the mould, and then soaked overnight in water with kelp extract. Fingers crossed 🤞
Minimal luck with only one of 16 seeds sprouting. Seeds seemed good physically so maybe my H2O2 was too strong at 0.3% or 3,000 ppm. It was just brief, but maybe too much. Will try another batch w/o the hydrogen peroxide.
Nothing germinated in second batch without hydrogen peroxide treatment but using well water. The well water has too much sodium and possibly some reduced sulphur species and it turns out it’s not good for starting seeds. Having much better luck using distilled water.
May 3: trying once again this time with distilled water.
These seeds got mouldy in storage so I just need a few to germinate so can back-cross with Devil XXL. One of this batch germinated, and will try some more.
Got a few more to germinate on third or fourth attempt. Now have 6 or 7 going.
May 13: planted out first two seedlings.
May 19: cold overnight at 0 C and another two nights just as bad or worse coming. Foliar spray on outside plants (LAB, FPJ, soap and silicate).
June 4: hot all week. Topped the two older plants to third node.
June 6: watered with mega Crop in afternoon and foliar at dusk (LAB, silicate and soap).
Missing pics for late stage flower. This F1 cross had several phenos (of course) with one of the indica phenos being a very nice and fast flowering plant. Unfortunately I didn’t get seeds off of that pheno. The other phenos were not that great being too slow and not producing very nice buds.
F1 cross produced a very nice indica pheno that was unfortunately not pollinated for seed. Sativa phenos disappointed being too slow and not nice smelling the way the Panama Lime was last year.
