Standard germination. This one was started due to a slight panic, thinking that I had lost two other seeds due to poor grow tent conditions.
The conditions were corrected and the others snapped back but I was left with this fine girl.
Sometimes, life just throws these little curve balls and if we adept well, they prove to be more of a boon than a bane.
Not much to really report on. Watering is just plain RO and I water about twice the distance of what the leaves span and will until I'm watering the entire pot. I won't use nutrients until 3-4 weeks in as this soil is very solid until then.
A little history, I grew this before using some new soil that was recommended but I hadn't heard of at the time. Turned out, the soil was hotter than I knew. Both girls grew suffering and never really getting what they needed. Ultimately, I made way too many mistakes and the harvest was terrible. I'm hoping this time around I do her right and grow right!.
She's doing well enough and steady as she goes. I have noticed some issues not unlike the first time I grew this strain. Overall, the color is good and she's taking in the water at the same rate as the Purple Hulk.
She's just chugging a long. Stay short and squat and not being too much of a thirsty gal. No complaints and having a boring plant is better than one with too many issues to manage!!
Edit: added dry nutes as the other girls were getting some as well.
I believe I went a little too heavy on the nutes, even though I gave about half of the suggested dosage from last week. I am seeing a bit of curling on some leaves but nothing terrible. I did raise the light a bit as she is getting taller and about to fly into pre-flower. I can already see signs that she wants to stretch!
She's gone into a nice preflower. No major issues to report as of yet and she did get well water this time around. I might throw a little more of 4-4-4 with a little bat poop in the mix but we will see!
I did do some defoliation and removed some larf sites. It opened her up nicely. I did put in a bit of extra dry nutes in this week just to buff her up a bit while she goes full on flower. The defoliation seems to make her a lot happier with all of the lower leaves that were covered by the massive veg fan leaves. Just been a rock solid plant and not very exciting (not complaining at all)
Well, it took longer than expected to get the crushed oyster shells when I first notice the calcium issue and she didn't want to wait. Poor little girl but she appears to be stabilizing now.
I hit her with a little dry nute as she's consuming resources aggressively and the bud are fatting up very quickly! The crushed oysters have done the trick and that's going to be my go to in preflower for almost everything moving forward. Other than that, she's doing well and easy to maintain. It's been great using dry nute due to easy but, I hate to say it, it's almost boring 😅
A good all around bud. Grew well with some issues with calcium. Came in pretty squat and very leafy but it wasn't difficult to get under control. She took well to defoliation and pruning of the lower limbs during preflower. The buds came in nice and dense. I really enjoyed just using the dry nute on this grow and I'll continue to play around with it in future grows.
