Light burn, raising the light. Also had the light at full power at this point, won’t full power until flowering next grow. Topped the older GDP and GSC. The younger GDP will not get topped.
Started my journal today, will try to fill in the earlier weeks. This is my first grow, this tent and one plant in my Grobo Automated Grow Cabinet. - The GDP on the far right that did not get topped is a good 8 inches taller than the others. The other 2 plants are raised higher for an even canopy for lighting.
Moving right along. Moved the light up a big and the left GDP down some, trying to counteract the light burn. Checked the trichomes for shits and giggles. All clear as expected, still a few weeks to go.
Flushed this week for the first time. Was Leary about flushing until this point. Still got some light burn on the GDP plants. Temps and humidity is getting higher. I’m having to empty my 6L dehumidifier every 6 hours. (Need to connect a hose to it.) Found an oscillating desk fan and added it inside the tent.. total of 4 fans now if you count the exhaust. More the merrier! Girl Scout Cookies Extreme just gets more and more beautiful every day! GDP buds are fattening up nicely as well, would be cool to see some purple in the GDP, but I’ll be fine if they stay green.
Fucking hot this week! A/C unit quit working in our house.. no big deal if there wasn’t a bunch of weed growing in the basement. It’s a legal grow but just don’t want the extra attention. Keeping temps hovering around 80-82 in tent during the day, using window units upstairs to cool the house. Don’t have the extra power to put a window unit in the basement (I’ll overload the breaker.) Luckily this upcoming week’s forecast is in the mid 60s-lower 70s rather than the upper 80s we’ve had this week. Going to give them nothing but pHed water from here on out after a light flush this weekend. Considering changing the light schedule to 10 hours then 8 hours for the last two weeks. Did a defoliation tonight to allow for better lighting and air flow. Buds are looking good.
Cutting this weekend.. maybe 🤔. Have my drying tent ready, with a new Cloudline T4. Not quite ready to chop yet so using my old duct fan as an inline to try to push cooler air in. Ducting is sucking air in from the air purifier.. seemed like as good of place as any. These AC Infinity Cloudline series fans are awesome! I want another one now!
Finished trimming the GSC tonight after a 6 day dry. Buds are very sticky and the jars smell like chocolate chip cookies. Lots of 3.5G+ buds (dry). Dry weight is about 88g of buds and 17g of shake/popcorn. Granddaddy Purple #1 is still drying, GDP #2 came out to about 70 of buds and 20g of popcorn/shake. Planning to make concentrates with the shake and popcorn. Even after no cure, I have sampled both GDP and GSC. GDP is my favorite (but GDP has always been my all time favorite) but GSC smells, looks, and tastes better. Planning to let them cure 8 weeks in Amber Ball 32oz Mason Jars, hoping for good final product. Feel like I didn’t do too bad for a first grow! Learned a lot! Cherry Pie & Wedding Cake next!
