Germination
I had planned to go with ILGM’s recommendation of germinating inside of a glass of water. But I grow a ton of things from seed and I always use the same method. Seed starter pods with Coco Coir, inside of a seedling/propagation tray topped with a dome, and on top of a heated seedling mat. I’ve never gone wrong with this method. However, I have also never grown cannabis, so I might be missing the mark. Fingers crossed! 🤞

No true leaves on Sunday, 5/16. But they came in over the next couple days.stalk started getting leggy, I think. I transplanted out of the seed started into fox farms soils with Dinomyco at the roots. I planted the stem deepish since it was a hit leggy. Immediately began transitioning the plant from the propagation nursery for short spurts of time. I wanted to begin hardening the seedling off and exposing it to the fans I have going in the tent so the stalks would grow nice and strong. I add more time each day outside the dome. Light is about 20-30 inches away, but I am terrible at eyeing out measurements.

Why is one of my plants bigger and greener? Their grow conditions a have been identical. Both are ILGM GG. Fox farms soil and a little clonex, fox farms soil and some Dynomyco when I transplanted them from the seed starters. I’m kind of lost.

Hey Eliana, sorry just got now to this question. Were those automated seeds? Because if so, you will certainly notice difference from plant to plant, mostly because automated Cannabis seeds change a lot. I'm curious though, how's been your experience with DYNOMYCO?

Also take this into consideration you have one In a black pot and one in a white pot typically light will penetrate the white pot rather than a black or brown pot therfore damaging your root zone plant roots hate light first thing I always make sure is that light cant get through to your root zone always will have a effect

Oh and the other thing is, soil mixes and stuff still vary, even in the same bag. One pot could have a little more of this and that mineral, and the other a little more of something else, slight watering differences, etc. All of those small differences in the factors add up. So you really shouldn't be worried, as long as they look healthy (and currently they look healthy). Later they should be more comparable (assuming they are basically the same phenotypes, and both pretty much get the same treatments), small changes initially are seemingly more exacerbated, because of the growth rate and those differences become marginal later regarding age, size, etc.

I had the light turned up way too high and I was over watering. I was thinking, the soils feels dry. That’s a good indicator with other crops and things that it’s time to water. But I have to remember these roots need to be drier to absorb nutrients. I am using filtered water at 220 PPMs to water. When I do fertilize, which is rare, I start with distilled. Thoughts?

Okay , so I think I figured out what was happening with my runt. It was my first feeding today (strength/distilled water/ confirmed ph/ all that). After watering/ feeding, I measured the run -off for PPM. Big Lady/221 ppm, my runt was 1756. I fixed- what now?

Hi there I would transplant them to final pot size, they have outgrown there container. With fresh soil you won't have to go heavy on the nutrients because it will have some in it. Also make sure your in the ph range and always get runoff, aim for 20% on the one that's not got that much ppm and aim for 40% runoff on the high ppm one.
