I moistened the ocean forest soil where I dropped the seeds .25" below the surface. Only took a few days for them to pop! Light was 32" away and set at 50%. Only had one TSW2000 running.

I got nervous seeing so much dry soil since they were so small in a big pot and I was just watering around them. I ended up watering the whole pot. Since doing that, I feel like that was unnecessary and possibly detrimental. I hope not but we'll see. I also lowered the light to 24". All in all, I'm surprised I've kept them alive this long 😁

I started picking off some leaves and tying them down. Not sure if I should be removing any leaves yet though. Any advice would be appreciated. I just felt like the big fan leaves were blocking light to the other spots I was trying to open up to the light. Also noticed some brown patches on older lower leaves and some discoloration. After checking online I decided it was a calcium deficiency and upped the cal mag along with their first feeding. Not sure why I picked that ratio of nutes lol. To be honest i think i kinda freaked out a bit when seeing the discoloration that i decided to throw some food at them and just rushed it.

Well it's been quite a learning experience up to this point. I over watered them in week 1, broke the top off of one of the lemon pies during LST but was able to tape it, broke the top of one of the gorilla cookies but it too seems to have survived! They're 4 weeks from seed right now. There's not much smell so I'm curious when that'll happen. I'm looking forward to getting smacked in the face with tasty goodness!! I'm open to any and all advice so if you have something say, please do. This being my 1st grow, I'm a little nervous I might do something wrong. Thanks and I wish I would've found this site sooner!

Well they looked great this morning but were feeling pretty light so I fed them and adjusted some tie downs. Me and my fat fingers broke the top off of the best plant in the bunch. One of my SkyWalker OG's. I taped a brace on it. I really hope I don't lose it! That makes 4 serious "snapping incidents" so far during the grow. I definitely have some learning to do when it comes to LST. Anyway, I think everything is moving ahead. Last day of week 5. I've noticed some brown spots and browning between the veins on some leaves. Also the runt plant is really dark green, short and dense with shiny leaves curling down. Am I over watering it? Not enough cal mag on the others?

I keep snapping tops during LST. Get ready for the dumb question! How often or aggressive should I be doing it? Is the idea to keep them low? Any info would be appreciated.

Hi mate, it is really up to you and how you want her trained. The idea of LST is to use all the grow space. Plants don't always grow in a square shape canopy to they have to be trained to do so. It creates a larger canopy of top bud sites to form. Using topping technique is also helpful while training. The problem is you are growing autos, which by design hate stress. Topping is a great technique to increase buds sites but LST can shock her, resulting in lower yields. I don't see an issue using LST on autos, you just have to get it done quickly as they have such a short veg stage. Get 90% of your training done before veg stage ends. Or, just top them and let them grow. You may get better results. I hope this helps, good luck and happy growing

I have some brown patches on a few plants and a runt plant that's growing really thick, short and squatty. That one has dark green and shiny leaves that are curling at the ends. Maybe some nutrient burn on the tips? I'm thinking it might be over watered but I'm not sure.

Yes I’d say the one with spots needs more cal-mag as it’s transitioning into flower and the runt looks like it is on the verge of nitrogen toxicity so I’d back off the cal-mag on it. Hope that straightens you out and happy growing!

I had what appeared to be a calcium deficiency with one of the gorilla cookies although it was recieving cal/mag with every watering. After a good flushing and a light feeding it seems to be getting better. I skipped the tiger bloom this week and only fed them once. Lightly watered every day. No training over defoliation. I felt like I was messing with them too much and too often in the previous weeks so I decided to take it easy on them this time. It's starting to look good!!

I was out of town this last week so my wife just watered them. She accidentally disabled the timer on the lights so I'm not sure how long they had light or didn't. All seems ok though. Starting their flush soon. I moved the lights up to 30". I think they're getting burned a bit.

Well I took all the ties off and gave them all a good flush with straight water. The tricomes are mostly milky with a bit of amber. I'm hoping to harvest next week! I'm pretty pumped.

What a great first grow!! I collected over a pound from all 8 plants of great smelling and amazing looking buds. I couldn't be happier! I seriously can't stop staring at these buds. I'm one happy grower.
