I’ve run into a little problem. It’s not really a problem, but more of a decision I need to make. The funny thing is, even as I write this, I haven’t completely made up my mind. I ordered some new nutrient supplements, and as I was doing the research on how to best use my new nutrients, I came across some information that made me stop and say, “Huh?” Note the question mark at the end? I found a new feed chart on General Hydroponics website that is SPECIFICALLY made for the exact nutrients I’m using. Every last one of them. The thing is, is that it is ONLY for the nutrients I am, and have been using since I started growing. It’s not a long time seeing how I’ve only harvested one plant so far, but still… I’ve been using them for months! The specific feed chart is their 6-part feeding chart, which happens to be for the 6 that I use. The feed chart I have been using has a whole bunch of nutrients that I don’t use as well as the ones I do. Also, the strengths on the one I’ve BEEN using is way stronger than what this new (and more precise) feed chart recommends. Even the “Aggressive Feed” uses less than I have been to this point. Maybe that’s why the runoff is always so much higher. 🤔 Decision is made! I’m going to start using the new chart that is specifically made for my nutrients. This is going to be the first time I’ve ever shared an entry with another diary. I have been feeding my 2 current plants the same solution mix (different gallons), so to address the change, this note is going to be copied and pasted to both notes today. However, I will also include individual notes for each plant.
Blueberry Muffin is still alive, and actually looks pretty good considering that she has been neglected time and time again. The leaves in the back facing the tall circulating tower fan are looking dried out and ragged to a certain degree. The surrounding buds look fine, but the leaves on that side look ugly. There isn’t anywhere else to put the fan where it will blow on both plants in the tent, so I decreased it’s intensity and readjusted the smaller fan in the front to provide more air flow. As mentioned above, I’m going to start using a different feeding chart and adjusted the nutrients accordingly. Today she was given 1 gallon of water chilled to 50.4F with CALiMAGic 5ml, FloraMicro 4.7ml, FloraBloom 8.5ml, Floralicious Plus 2ml, and Liquid KoolBloom 2ml. The initial pH was 6.8, and wasn’t adjusted. The TDS going in was 754 ppm. Runoff pH was 6.5, and TDS runoff was 1993 ppm. The heat wave we’ve been having had the tent hot today at 86F, and humidity was 38%. I promise to be a better grower for my babies from now on! No more trips scheduled, no more (known) reasons to neglect them. Hopefully they continue to do well.

Today I decided to do something that I should have done a while ago, but didn’t believe it was necessary. I was wrong! I have only grown one full plant and a solo cup clone from that first plant. I erroneously believed that I could tell where a plant was in its development by comparing it to my first plant. Evidently, different strains grow differently, and look different when they mature. Looking at my Blueberry Muffin’s buds, they are different than my DarkStar Kush’s buds did. From that, I assumed that it still had a way to go till harvest.
Today I took pictures of her trichomes and was flabbergasted to see that she IS READY for harvest! 😳 All of her trichomes are milky, and there are more amber colored trichomes than my DarkStar had. Too bad I took the pics after I fed her today, or I would have started the flush today! Quite honestly, I’m shocked!!
She got the normal nutrients today. A gallon of water chilled to a mild 60.8F, with CALiMAGic 5ml, FloraMicro 4.7ml, FloraBloom 8.5ml, Floralicious Plus 2ml, and Liquid KoolBloom 2ml. The initial pH was 6.8 and was not adjusted. The TDS going in was 814 ppm. Runoff pH was 6.2, and TDS runoff was 2484 ppm. I have a lot of flushing to do!! The tent temperature was 84F, and humidity was 45%. I didn’t expect to harvest her this soon, but according to her profile on Humboldt Seed Company’s website her flowering time is only 45 days. That would have made her harvest date July 9th; yesterday! I guess they do know better than I!

Today I started flushing my dear beloved Blueberry Muffin with properly pH’ed water chilled to 57.3F. The initial pH was 8.5, so I added 20 gtts (roughly 2ml), which adjusted it to 6.1. Too low for Me normally, but it’s just water. Hopefully those words won’t be thrown back into my face. Anyway, the runoff pH was even lower at 5.5, and the TDS runoff was 2307 ppm. The temperature in the tent was elevated today at 88F due to our recent heat wave. Humidity was 53%. I don’t have much else to report today, except that I hope I haven’t screwed this up! Till next time.
Nice starins 😍 I'm in love with Humboldt
Give a good amount of nutrients and they will ensure you a huge yield and super tasty flowers 😍
Sweet hugs from us ❤️
If you want to support us take a look to our diary! It will be appreciated!
@CHILLING_RACOONS,
I got lucky with this lady! She was a clone gifted to me by another grower (Buddabud). I was able to get some of the smaller limbs I pruned off before the switch to root, so it looks like I’m going to be starting another diary for them soon. Check back in a couple weeks and I should have theirs started.
@Festerus,
Thanks. I’m using General Hydroponics CALiMAGic as my calcium and magnesium supplement. I noticed some calcium issues on some of the larger top leaves that I defoliated the other day, but only on 2 or 3. Since defoliating it I haven’t seen any more, but I’ll keep an eye out and keep using the supplement for prevention.
@MrJones,
Thanks. She’s looking great the day after as well. Check back regularly for updates to the week. I edit the week after each feeding and add all the new data and pics to follow their progress.
@@TenderBuds,
Thank you. I started keeping a journal for myself on my first grow before finding this site. I still do, but I also keep it all on here as well. I figure if anyone reads them, they should be able to go through the whole grow with me. Maybe someone else can learn from my successes or failures. Both are important.
Man I can’t wait now I’ve got this indoor and outdoors and I’ll have a stock pile!! I’m glad to hear your experience was the way it was!! Only strain I can say that put me in the same mood you was in is amnesia haze and I can’t find that anywhere so I’m hoping my blueberry treats me well also.. congrats again
Peace love and grow my friend
this late in the game the uglier i can make my plants the happier i am!
almost the entire flower i am giving 4ml mirco and 6ml bloom (1ml floralicious and 3ml calmag)
but it looks like you are zoning in on things yourself. i will continue to look at your nuets! thanks for the updates!
