Hello Diary.
This time on the Farm there are two new strains from Royal Queen Seeds, Watermelon Auto and Purple Punch Auto.

A few words about Purple Punch Automatic.
The astonishing Purple Punch, famous for her sweet berry and candy flavors, received the long-awaited autoflowering treatment. The breeders from RQS created the automatic version of this popular dessert strain by crossing her with Old Skunk Auto. Out came Purple Punch Automatic, a mighty, moreish strain made up of 75% indica, 20% sativa and 5% ruderalis genetics.
Being an autoflower of the latest generation, Purple Punch Automatic doesn’t need to hide from photoperiod cannabis varieties when it comes to potency and flavor: With 19% of THC, it delivers a powerful effect. The high is mostly physical and stoning, perfect for relaxing at night. Her candy flavors, a mix of berries and grapes with tart and fresh notes, make for a highly enjoyable smoke.
These are the characteristics listed by the team from RQS, now we will see what it will look like on my small farm.
LET THE DIARY START OFFICIALLY:
14/01/2021.
Planting. After cleaning the Farm (GrowBox), I prepared everything I needed. Earth is a Light-Mix from BioBizz, Air-Pot's, Organic Additives that I mix with Earth. From the beginning of this hobby, I use only organic fertilizers.
I used 11L pots, to which I added 50g Easy Boost Organic Nutrition, 10g Easy Roots Rhizobacter and 5g Easy Roots Mycorrhizza Mix to the ground and mixed everything well.
After that I soaked the soil well with water, made a small hole, laid the seed inside and lightly covered it with soil.
After planting is completed, they enter their new home. As I wrote earlier, in addition to the two Purple Punch on the Farm, there is also one Watermelon Automatic plant that will keep them company. The temperature in the Box at that time was 23 degrees and the humidity was slightly below 45%, so I will have to put a humidifier to raise the humidity.
I set the lights 35cm from the pots as Migro recommends.
14 - 17/01/2021
I sprayed the surface of the soil with water a couple of times to keep the soil moisture at the surface.
18/01/2021
The first Purple Punch sprouted. The other is still not peeking out. If it doesn’t sprout tomorrow, I’ll put new seeds on a wet paper towel to speed up the germination of new seed.
Farm: 23 degrees - 60% humidity
19/01/2021
I put new seeds on a wet makeup remover pad :), and let it germinate.
21/01/2021
I put the germinated seed in the ground. They are now officially Purple Punch # 1 and # 2
Farm: 24.7 degrees - 55% humidity
22/01/2021
I watered the plant with a small amount of water to which I only regulated p.H at 6.4.
Farm: 24.5 degrees - 54% humidity
23/01/2021
Purple Punch # 2 has sprouted.
I'm quite late with the publication of the diary, the reason is the large number of photos I take and then I need to find time to put everything in a pile, along with the notes and type everything nicely. No matter how much time I spend on the diary, it relaxes me and makes me happy.
See you soon.
Hello Diary.
The first week of vegetation is over. The plants thrive nicely, look healthy and satisfied. 😀
Purple Punch # 1 grew 11 cm in the first week of vegetation while Purple Punch # 2 reached 7 cm. I remind you that I had to repeat the germination of another Purple Punch, so it’s lower.
In addition to the nutrients that I mixed into the soil at planting, I started adding BioBizz’s Root-Juice.
I regulate the humidity with a humidifier, so the humidity varies between 50% and 60%.
With Purple Punch on the “Farm” there is also one Watermelon Auto that keeps them company.
Let’s see what the first week looked like.
27/01/2021 - Day 1.
Official first day of vegetation.
29/01/2021 - Day 3.
Watering. I prepared 4 liters of water but each plant got about 1 liter. p.H. I regulated with Plagron’s Lemon Kick at 6.1 and added 4ml / lit Root-Juice from BioBizz.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 22.9 degrees and 50% humidity.
02/02/2021 - Day 7.
Photographing and watering. After the photo shoot, I watered the plants, each getting about 1.5 lit. This time I didn't add any extras I just adjusted the p.H to 6.3. and the water temperature was 20.2 degrees.
I also measured the height of the plants
Purple Punch # 1 - 11 cm
Purple Punch # 2 - 7 cm.
That’s it for this week, thank you all for your support and likes. See you soon.
Hello Diary.
The second week of vegetation is over and the Purple Punch has already started to form flowers. Otherwise a pretty quiet week, I had one watering and more or less it was all action on “Farm”.
Conditions are more or less good, I would like the humidity to be a bit higher but ok.
Purple Punch # 1 that sprouted first reached 23 cm, which is double from the previous week, while Purple Punch # 2 that sprouted a few days later reached 15 cm.
The tips of the leaves as well seen in the photos have taken on a bright green-yellow color, I don’t know if it’s from the light or something else? If anyone has an idea why this is happening, feel free to share with me.
I didn’t add any nutrients, the soil is still rich in nutrients from Easy Boost Organic Nutrition, Mycorrhiza Mix and substances in the soil. From next week I will start adding BioBizz.
With two Purple Punch on the “Farm” there is also one Watermelon Auto that keeps them company.
Let’s see how it was this week.
07/02/2021 - Day 12.
Watering. I regulated the water with Plagron’s Lemon Kick. In my case the tap water is about 8 p.H. so I lower it to a value between 6.0 and 6.5. I pour water into the bucket the day before to evaporate the existing chlorine from the water. I should have watered more often with less water but now it turned out that way.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25 degrees and 49% humidity.
09/02/2021 - Day 14.
Photographing plants, measuring height and analyzing the week.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 23.5 degrees and 40% humidity.
Purple Punch Auto # 1 - Day 14. - 23 cm
Purple Punch Auto # 2 - Say 14. - 15 cm
I’ll see what happens to the leaves but I hope everything will be cool. See you soon.
Hello everyone. The tips of the leaves are light green-yellow. It looks good in the photos. On the other two plants in the growbox I have no such symptoms. If anyone has an idea, let them share it. Thanks in advance. 🙏
Nutrients overload dude. Give her a flush with run off and start again. Doses are to high so just cut them in half. Look at dry amendments next time to add to soil. Saves slot of time 🍁🌱👍🏻❤️
Hello Diary.
The last week of vegetation although you could already tell that flowering had begun. 😍
Purple Punch # 1 has already grown to a solid 50 cm. while Purple Punch # 2 that sprouted a few days later reached 30 cm.
On Purple Punch # 1 the tops of the leaves are pale yellow, I don’t know if it’s up to light or genetics since it doesn’t happen to the other two plants that are on the Farm. 😏
This week I added a lot of nutrients when watering, I will see how they will react to that. 😐
The height of the plants now varies a lot, from 50 cm in height to 30 cm in height, so I had to adjust the height of the light in the box a bit. The lights are dimmed at 80%
The temperature in the growbox is around 25 degrees, which is ideal for me but the humidity is a bit lower than I would have liked. I'm thinking of putting on a humidifier again.
The plants started to be more thirsty so now watering is more frequent as well.
Let’s take a look at the review of the week.
10/02/2021 - Day 15.
Watering. p.H I adjusted to 6.3 with Lemon Kick and added one Easy Grow tablet to 6 liters of water. With that, I watered all three plants evenly.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.5 degrees and 40% humidity.
13/02/2021 - Day 18.
Watering.p.H I regulated to 6.4 and did not add any other nutrients.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.3 degrees and 40% humidity.
16/02/2021 - Day 21.
Photographing and watering. This time I added CalMg, 1.5ml / L preventively and from BoiBizz I added Bio Heaven, Bio Grow, Acti Vera and Alg-A-Mix only 2ml / L each. p.H I regulated at 6.4. Due to the low humidity, I put the humidifier back in the GrowBox.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24 degrees and 35% humidity.
That’s it for this week, thanks to everyone who stop by and take a look. See you soon. 🙏
Hello Diary.
The first week of flowering is over, the plants have branched out nicely, the Purple Punch has grown more than 60cm and has now become crowded on the Farm.
Specifically, Purple Punch # 1 grew 66 cm, Purple Punch # 2, which sprouted a few days later, grew 54 cm, which surpassed roommate Watermelon, who keeps them company on the Farm.
Along with the height, there are a lot of leaves throughout the plant, but this time I'm not sure if I would do defoliation.
The plants normally look healthy and satisfied, they did not reflect as much as on Watermelon, that they were harmed by too many nutrients. They’re obviously a little more resistant to that. Except for the yellowish tips of the leaves, which I believe is genetics, everything else seems fine.
The flowers started to form, so I have new motives to photograph. At the beginning of the week, I also changed the light regime to 20 hours of the day and 4 hours of the night.
I water every two to three days, when each plant gets about 2 liters of water. I add food at about every other watering. Sometimes biobizz and sometimes I put Easy Grow or Easy Bloom tablet, depending on the stage the plant is in.
p.H. I always adjust the water value to a value between 6.2 and 6.5.
Conditions on the Farm are more or less satisfactory, the temperature is about 25 degrees while the humidity is slightly lower than satisfactory, varying between 40% and 50%.
Here’s a brief overview of the past week.
18/02/2021 - Day 23.
Watering. I adjusted the water to 6.3 p.H with Plagron’s Lemon Kick and added 1.5 mL / lit CalMg preventively.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25 degrees and 41% humidity.
20/02/2021 - Day 25.
Watering. I regulated the water to 6.4 p.H, I added 1ml / lit CalMg and BioBizz as scheduled for the first week of flowering.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.4 degrees and 43% humidity.
22/02/2021 - Day 27.
Watering. This time I watered only with water which I regulated p.H at 6.3.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.6 degrees and 40% humidity.
23/02/2021 - Day 28.
Photography and height measurement.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25 degrees and 42% humidity.
That’s it for this week, a big hello and thank you to everyone who follows the diary and thanks for the comments. See you soon.
Hello Diary.
The second week of flowering is behind us and the plants are progressing nicely.
Purple Punch has reached 66 cm, which means it hasn’t grown anything since last week, all the plants are now about the same height which is great considering the light setting.
It is nicely branched and wide, it is full of leaves so I will need to do a little cleaning soon. The flowers develop beautifully and take on a round shape.
All in all, there is already a real jungle on the "Farm", two Purple Punch, there is also one Watermelon Auto, so each of them is fighting for as much light as possible.
The humidity in the Box is still lower than I would like, the temperature is good.
Let's see what the week looked like:
24/02/2021 - Day 29.
Watering. I regulated, that is, lowered the p.H. at 6.4 and put 1 Easy Bloom Tablet, on 7 liters of water.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.8 degrees and 42% humidity.
27/02/2021 - Day 32.
Watering. I adjusted the p.H to 6.4 and added BioBizz as scheduled for the second week of flowering.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.9 degrees and 35% humidity.
02/03/2021 - Day 35.
Watering and height measurement. This time I did not add any nutrients but only regulated p.H at 6.3.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.2 degrees and 39% humidity.
Purple Punch Auto # 1 - 66 cm.
Purple Punch Auto # 2 - 62 cm.
That’s it for this week, thanks to everyone who follows the diary, the support and advice I get means a lot to me. See you soon.
Hello Diary.
Finished and the third week of flowering, Purple Punch has reached a height of 67 cm and I think it has reached its maximum. 👆
All three plants are now the same height which is great considering the position of the light.
At the end of the week I did a defoliation, I cleaned the lower leaves and branches on both plants, but most of all I had to fix their roommate Watermelon whose leaves took on a yellowish color with brown spots.
Although the treatment was the same for all three plants, these symptoms did not appear on Purple Punch. If the cause is over feeding, then the conclusion is that Purple Punch is a much more resistant plant. 💪
The flowers develop nicely, are full of already visible trichomes and begin to take on an increasingly intense scent.
After all, everything can be seen in detail in the photos. At this stage of flowering I started doing photos on a black background, the photos are much nicer.
All in all, I am pleased with how Purple Punch is progressing, both plants look healthy and satisfied.
I added nutrients when watering to finally see which dose is optimal for them, but given Watermelon, it’s hard to judge when each strain reacts differently. For now, Purple Punch is not complaining. 👌
Here is a brief overview of the week.
04/03/2021 - Day 37.
Watering. I regulated p.H. at 6.3 with Plagron’s Lemon Kick, and added one Easy Bloom Booster tablets to a total of 7 gallons of water.
With that, I watered all three plants evenly.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.3 degrees and 41% humidity.
08/03/2021 - Day 41.
Watering. p.H. I regulated to 6.2, I added 1ml / lit CalMg and BioBizz as scheduled for the third week of flowering.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25 degrees and 39% humidity.
09/03/2021 - Day 42.
Defoliation and photography. I photographed the plants in the Box, to see the current condition and after that I did a defoliation. For the end, I took the final photos of the plant for the end of the 6th week.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.2 degrees and 38% humidity.
That’s it for this week, see you soon with a new report. 🙏
Hello Diary,
The fourth week of flowering is over and we are slowly heading towards the end.
Last week I did defoliation, so now there is better air flow through the whole plant.
Purple Punch looks great, some leaves take on a yellowish color which are the first signs that its end is near. The flowers themselves fill very nicely and become larger and larger and are full of trichomes.
As you can see in the photos, Purple Punch has a nice shape, good leaf color, the scent is intense, it’s just all great and I’m looking forward to the harvest.
Although there are two Purple Punch on the Farm, I didn’t do photos of both plants this time but I promise to show both in the end.
In one watering I added Biobizz and that was the last addition of nutrients for her. From now on just flushing.
Conditions in the growbox are good, the temperature varies around 25 degrees, while the humidity is around 40%.
Now comes the stage when I start observing the development of trichomes through a microscope, it’s a special experience for me, like I’m looking at something from another planet.
Here's a brief overview of the week:
11/03/2021 - Day 44.
Watering. I didn’t add any nutrients, I just lowered p.H. water at 6.3.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.5 degrees and 36% humidity.
13/03/2021 - Day 46.
Watering. p.H. I downgraded to 6.4 and added BioBizz as scheduled for the current week. This will be the last addition of nutrients. From now on only clean water.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 26 degrees and 39% humidity.
16/03/2021 - Day 49.
Photographing for the end of the seventh week.
That’s it for this week, see you soon with a new week. Greetings to everyone who looks at the diary.
Hello Diary.
Finished and the fifth week of flowering, a total of the eighth week, Purple Punch looks wonderful. another week or two and there will be a harvest. The flowers themselves are well filled, and are hard to the touch, and the scent is amazing.
As you can see in the photos, the shape of the plant is beautiful, as if I was doing some LST, but I just did defoliation from the lower branches.
The leaves are a beautiful healthy green color, here and there some leaves have become more yellowish with a slight purple tinge, which are the first signs that the harvest is approaching.
Watering is every three days, I stopped adding nutrients, I only regulate p.H of water to values between 6.0 and 6.5.
Conditions on the Farm are satisfactory, the temperature is around 25 degrees while the humidity is below 40%.
Here's what it looked like last week:
17/03/2021 - Day 50.
Watering. I prepared a total of 7 liters of water, adjusted the p.H to 6.3 and watered all three plants on the farm evenly.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.5 degrees and 38% humidity.
20/03/2021 - Day 53.
Watering. The procedure is the same as three days ago.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.1 degrees and 34% humidity.
23/03/2021 - Day 56.
Watering and photography. As for watering, the same procedure as three days ago, after which I photographed Watermelon and her roommates, two Purple Punch.
Now I have to water and wait for the right moment. I check with a microscope the development of trichomes but they are still transparent. That’s it for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary.
It has completed its sixth week of flowering, a total of 9 weeks since Purple Punch sprouted.
As you can see in the photos, the plants look beautiful, the flowers are large and hard, full of trichomes. I believe the yield will be better than I had hoped. The smell is very intense.
I would also say that Purple Punch is quite resistant, along with them, as you know on "Farm", there is also one plant Watermelon Auto that has suffered a lot due to over-feeding, which cannot be said for Purple Punch.
The treatment they receive is the same.
Watering is every three days, I regulate or lower the p.H of water to values between 6.1 and 6.5. And I do that with every preparation of water for irrigation.
I stopped adding any additives the previous week so they get clean water.
Let’s take a look at the review of the week.
26/03/2021 - Day 59.
Watering. p.H. water I regulated to 6.4
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25 degrees and 32% humidity.
29/03/2021 - Day 62.
Watering. p.H - 6.3
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25 degrees and 36% humidity.
30/03/2021 - Day 63.
Photography. This time I didn't photograph them on a black background, I didn't want to stress them too much, I'll take detailed photos for the end anyway.
That’s it for this week, without much excitement, I’m patiently waiting for the harvest. See you soon.
Hello Diary.
It completed the last week of flowering, a total of three weeks of vegetation and seven weeks of flowering. A total of 80 days since Purple Punch # 1 sprouted, while Purple Punch # 2 I had to put on germination again because it didn’t sprout at first.
In the end it was 5 days late but as you can see, the harvest was the same day.
The conclusion in the end is that Purple Punch exceeded my expectations, although they look totally different, the height and build of the stems are the same, the flowers are totally different.
It is well seen in the photos. While it doesn’t have the purple color I might have expected given the name, the flowers are hard, full of trichomes and have a strong sweet scent.
We’ll see after drying what we made.
There were only two waterings this week, I wanted him to consume all the water to make the drying faster.
The condition in the growbox is satisfactory, the temperature is around 25 degrees while the humidity is below 40%.
Here’s what the last week looked like.
31/04/2021 - Day 64.
Watering. I regulated p.H. at 6.3 and with 7 liters of water I evenly watered all three plants on the “farm”.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25 degrees and 37% humidity.
03/04/2021 - Day 67.
Watering. The procedure is the same as three days ago.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.3 degrees and 38% humidity.
07/04/2021 - Day 71.
Harvest. After I did the photography, first one plant and then another, I cut the plants at the bottom of the stalk and hung them upside down in a growbox to dry.
The temperature in the Box is about 25 degrees and the humidity is slightly lower than 40%.
I turned off the lights and left only the ventilation on while I also turned off the fans.
And now all three plants are hanging upside down, two Purple Punch and their roommate Watermelon.
They are preceded by about two weeks of drying, maybe a little less, so I call with one last review. See you soon.
Hello Diary.
In the end, I have my own praise for this strain. Although they did not both emerge at the same time, they eventually had a harvest together.
The outcome is in the end almost 140 g which is a great average.
The dried flowers are hard and compact, reminiscent of velvet to the touch, really beautiful.
They dried in a growbox for a total of 14 days along with their roommate Watermelon.
My wife, although not a consumer, enjoys trimming which suits me great because I can take photos during that time.
After trimming, we put the dry tops in jars where they matured for another 20 days.
And now as I write this report, I’m enjoying the smoke of Purple Punch, drinking coffee, and trying to remember if I left something out in the report. If so, feel free to write and ask.
I apologize for the delay with the reports, but a lot of photos and videos and other commitments have slowed me down in that.
And hope those who visited the diary got useful information, thank you to everyone who supported this trip, thank you for all the compliments and comments.
See you soon with new diaries.
