Tuesday, June 01: Betsy is thriving. She’s 4” tall and 5” wide, working on her third node. I gave her water this morning (500ml) and she seemed to like it. I saw run off in her tray and replaced it. Moved the light down so that its 17” away from the top of the plant. Will monitor and adjust as necessary.
*checked on her and her new growth leaf edges are slightly curling upward. Moved the light back up to 18”.
*leaves look better. But I still moved the light up to 20”.
Wednesday, June 02: Started some LST on her today. I wasn’t sure if she was too little but I also didn’t want to wait too long before the stems harden. I secured her base and have the top bent over with some garden ties. I thought about watering her, but the pot still has moisture. She’s doing pretty good. I’ll watch how she responds. The tent has a slight smell in it.
Thursday, June 03: She’s responding really well to the LST. As she stretches out a little more, I like to keep opening her up little by little by moving the bigger fan leaves out to expose her main stem more. I tug them to the side with the garden wire. I wasn’t a fan of the wire in the beginning but I can see now how they can be pretty handy. Already seeing lots of new growth going for the light. The pot seem pretty moist so I skipped watering today. Will definitely water tomorrow. I’ve also got the fan blowing on her to try and harden that bend in the stem.
Friday, June 03: Tied her down more and gave her some water (500ml). Emptied and replaced the run off tray. So far so good.
Sometimes I forget her name. But I don’t think she cares.
1st week down and so far so good. I’ve been playing with the light distance and she seems to like it at 18”. I’m watering when I see the soil dry out but I’m also scared to overwater so I do it sparsely. Mostly hand sprinkling tap water around her. Nothing special. I did manage to fix my tent by adjusting the filter so that I have more room which is cool. I also picked up the volcano hybrid. That whip attachment is absolutely bonkers.
Good call on the additional watch to germ faster... Germing in cold weather can be a biiii**ch and half!
Sending the best of vibes to you, your plant/s, and your mutual growth together! Good luck! 🌱
@JamMAKEcan, thank you I think so too. Although the trichomes are some are clear, some mostly cloudy, and few amber. I read for sativas, it is best to harvest when 30% amber 70% clear. So I will wait a few then I plan to put her in the dark for 24 hrs before the big day.
