I'm forced to rate the strain although these particular buds too infested with mildew/mold to smoke. More a fault of weather/grow conditions than the strain or breeder. Wedding Cake is fine stuff.
Today was harvest day and sadly I discovered that white powdery mildew was rampant throughout the entire the plant along with further instances of bud rot and grey mold. I had to trash everything. ๐ข The weather has just been garbage over the past month or so and I had no way to protect her from the elements.
Lessons learned:
1. Pretreat the plant against white powdery mildew in future
2. Select earlier finishing strains for growing outdoors
She sure looked (and smelled) nice though. What could have been ๐ค
That's a wrap on this one. Thanks for tuning in โ๏ธ
@StunFlower, good luck figuring it out, but I am sure they will pull through. Do you use any nutrients in your water when you feed or are you using only water cause all the food is in the soil?
Bummer Brother, you could almost taste it! Makes it even tougher. You made the right call! Don't let it deter you, part of growing. I had to cull 2 in my current run. Thank you for sharing!
@UGrowGuy, Thanks buddy. It was tough to scrap everything but it had to be done. More lessons learned and hopefully I'll have better results next summer.
Looking good hombre. It's good to see some outdoor grows in this auto flower tent world. Looks just like a shurb I have outside now. Totally different than the one I have in my greenhouse. Hopefully that rain stays in your favor. Even if it doesn't cause any problems, it sure can cause you some stress. Wishing you a heavy and sticky harvest
@Horsethief, Thanks buddy. I appreciate the kind words. Thankfully, she looks no worse for wear after the downpour. I was fearing split branches due to heavy, water saturated buds but she held up ๐
Looking good and progressing very nicely !! Good luck with the grow !
Please feel free to check out/show love on some of my recent grows (Tropicana cookiez/Venom OG/Banana Mango )
