Hello. Other than the heat everything is going good here. This week has been the hottest its been in the last 100 years of recorded weather. It's 27.4 C and 60% RH in the grow room just now. I've emptied the cloning cupboard and put the clones under a light in the cooler garage knowing the clones struggle to make roots at higher temps.
I start seeds at the same time I take clones. If they are regular seeds, I start the seeds 2 weeks before I take clones, it gives me more time to find the males. If the seeds are fem, I can start the seeds up I week after I take clones because they don't need to be sexed. That way, with a 2 stage grow room everything works out and the clones/seeds are a good size when the switch is made.
I started some Honey Bananas from Elemental Seeds. They send 6 seeds. 2 popped within 2 days and then stopped growing. I waited for 4 more days, giving fresh water flushes in case the seeds tasted something they didn't like and stopped growing. I thought they were going to rot because I saw the first seed's white shoot was going clear so I started some OG Kush fem seeds free with order from Sensible Seeds Premium Seed Selection. 4 out of 5 popped within days. So I took the Honey Bananas and thought about throwing them out and didn't want to waste the money (I'm cheap) so I did something that has worked for me before. I readied (swelled with water) the peat pucks and took the popped seeds and carefully removed the hard shells and placed the white grain in the peat so the root is facing down and the top of the leaf parts are just level with the top of the peat puck and a small part of the white grain will be exposed to the light. The plant has run out of energy. It will need to get some by using photosynthesis. The seed with the clear growing tip will probably rot but the 3 other seeds that I got into the peat pucks in time, will probably live. As I'm writing this 1 of the Honey Banana seedling has risen up to spread it starter leaves another seedling has turned green and is just starting to lift it leaves. So I got too many seeds started now. Oh well, worse thing could happen.
Till then. Chuck.
Sorry about the tooth, that sucks...on the other hand your plants look great lol, the frost on plant #1 in week#11 is unreal, great job! Happy harvest! β€οΈπ‘π±π½π¨
Thanks for the reply β€οΈ..ill check them out today, I'd really like to get my hands on that Dos Si Dos you're growing... thanks again, happy growing! πͺπΊ
@Kitties_and_Colas,No Barneys doesn't ship to the U.S. It's legal here in Canada and they won't ship here? I got these seeds from Sensible Seeds. They ship out of the UK. I really recommend them. They went out of their way to make sure I got my seeds. I didn't buy enough stealth shipping and they bumped me up at no charge. Chuck.
@Poppetnewbie Thanks Buddy. I'm glad you liked the diary. I'll be starting 2 new diary's in a week or so. Honey Banana by Elemental Seeds and The White by Dr. Greenthumb. I think I'll work on my strain in the greenhouse next year and hope to get a good male from the Commerce City Kush regular seeds by Rare Dankness Seeds. Chuck.
@Poppetnewbie, Hi Buddy. That's a great nickname. Thanks glad you like the diary. I have some old seeds I'll try next. They are about 4 years old. I hope they sprout. They are Commerce City Kush from Rare Dankness and are regular seeds. I hope to get a good male for my strain I'm working on. Chuck.
Great review and time taken on it I imagine! Thank you for the best one i have personally read on this site π canβt wait to harvest my dos si dos #33
@@ThePuffingprincess17, Thanks! I try to do a good job, I think I've got a style. I started smoking in grade 9 and I'm over 60 now.π A couple of the dos si dos 33 had a narcotic stone to them but over all, they are good and strong. Chuck.
