The smoke on this Shishkaberry is very nice. Blueberry and Kush flavors, creates mild to moderate relaxation but not a lot of sedative effect. Good late afternoon smoke or pile it on in the evening and settle in. I had thrips BAD in my veg tent, but her mother wasn’t phased. Stayed big and bushy while other strains, prized to me, we’re completely obliterated. She grows well and produces well so I’ll keep her around a bit longer 👍🏻👍🏻 As I’ve said before this is all for me so I don’t bother weighing. I dip in and sample before it’s fully ready so idk what the end weight is. I ended up with 4 1 qt mason jars.

I think I will try this product again in the future now that my water quality will be better with the RO. My hydro store was having trouble getting it so I got Remo instead. The only downfall I’d say is price of the additives they’re twice as other brands. But the technology on the base seems interesting.
Future Harvest was the first brand I ever used. They are a very affordable line and I have seen good consistency with this product. I use it mostly in veg as an easy M&B 2 part with the super B and Calnesium. Great product especially for the price. 30-50% cheaper across the lineup.
I love Rezin. I think it has increased to aroma of my buds significantly. I like the price that it comes in at and how long it lasts me. I’m super pumped to have to buy a second carbon filter now that I’m running RO.
Florokleen works great. Only product I’ve ever used. I’ve only ever had to buy one bottle. It lasts so long. Mix up the flush batch, saturate the medium, let it sit for 30-45 mins and flush til you desired ppm. This round I flushed with 5 gal 150 ppm and let them dry out til harvest day. It’s so damn easy.
Reviews. Lamp
I haven’t been able to sample yet so it’s hard to say on the flavor end. This whole run was done at 80% or less so idk what it would look like at full rip. I watched a number of videos and the pattern I thought had the most coverage was 80%. Regardless the smells when I open the jars are nice and fragrant. There are trichomes throughout the entire structure of the bud. I like that it is warm enough to heat the tent but not radiating mass amounts. I’d love a second one for the other 4x4 to do side by side comparisons but that’s not in the budget at the moment.
Reviews. Tent
Vivosun tents are great. Great poles, solid, no swaying. The floors are durable and the foil stays on them. Zippers are smooth and sturdy with a good amount of flap on the inside to keep light out. I like them.

Hi there. I’m wondering if anybody has some last minute things to do before flipping to flower when doing a weaved Scrog. I’ve gotta move quick as overall height may be an issue. I’m waiting in a 13/11 hr holding pattern for a day or 2 more. Thanks. Happy Growing 🌱

To be fair that looks real good what you have done. You lollipoped all the lower shite and have spread everything out well in the lower net. I would switch to flower. The top net comes in handy for spreading them colas out when they get big.

Week 3 I’m thinking I may do a heavier defoliation to expose bud sites but have had seeds in the past and am wondering if defo stress could be to blame. On the other side of it that canopy is packed and dark underneath, no light is getting through. Anybody have any suggestions?

1st I'd look from the side of the plant. Look at where your light can't penatrate through and draw an imaginary line and remove the lower shite. Then look down on top of the plant. Leave as much as you can, but if there are bunches of leaves sitting on each other or blocking light from hitting alot more leaves then remove a few leaves. I am not a hater of defoliation but you have to be tactical for it to be effective. Also try not to do it all in one foul swoop. If you remove all the lower rubbish wait a few days before attempting the top area. You also want air to be able pass through the plant. Stoned dribble.

leaf burn may be just a bit too much N, or overall too much EC I would guess. you could try to water with plain water and Calmag with slightly drain (not much) but man, looks pretty much perfect for this stage. how often do you add your nutrients , every watering?
SAC87
SAC87commented3 years ago
@Mud868,oh I didnt realize which week you were looking at, sorry about that. Ya week 6 is when I realized this round. I think I’ve known this was a big hinderance for a while. I’ve been upgrading lights and nutes and equipment and now the water is glaringly obvious. Regardless, sounds like we’re on the same mind track. I repotted from a 3 gal to a 5 and scraped the outside woven root and peat off -/+ 2 cm just before weaving into the net. I have used florokleen since the beginning, given my trash water situation. I use mychorrizae on the root balls and top dress with it once a monthish. I find they work well. At this point my only solution is to buy an RO. I like the theory of the Hydrologic stealth. It has 1:1 or 2:1 waste to RO, so less waste water that I’m paying for to go down the drain which I like the thought of. It will pay for itself with less dog pee grass burns, plants will be significantly better and I don’t mind a drop or 2 with my whiskey or gin. Haha

@SAC87, hey, yeah, I replied to like a weeks old picture too:) (was looking at those slightly burned leaftips at week 6), did not realize you're already that close to harvest. I've been growing myself in indifferent regions so far, different EC values. and yes, since 300ppm are about .6 EC I think, you should def. be right on that one. Ive had problems with .47 EC in soil too. it kind of worked, but just like your grow right now, maybe a bit less pronounced. it accumulates over time, soil can buffer it, freshly potted plants seem fine... I guess cause of humic acids and whatnot in the soil. I guess some kind of "solution" would be to re-pot the plants right before the switch along with pruning your roots ( cutting the outside of the rootbal on each side where salts accumulate most. ) root pruning is a very healthy technique. like this they would do just fine the first half of flower, then use up all the nutes in their leaves if it blocks... my current grow was with .8 EC water, and I also had to flush them with florakleen due to Carbonates buliding up before flower... it is not even calcium, it is calcium stone I think, , carbonates.. so not really usable for plants. maybe a good organic percentage n the soil would help with that, along with mykohirrzae, and some good bacteria, but that is just a guess... best solution is RO water or de-ionized water, that is what I use after getting hit by this problem once again....

@Mud868, hey thanks for the comment. I do feed feed water and check ppm and ph of run off. I have overfed in the past and try to be conservative with feeding. In my experience N toxicity leads to dark deep green rather than N deficiency causing yellowing throughout. My thoughts are sedimentation from trashy high cal water causing unknown amounts of NPK to be precipitate out of solution causing inaccurate ratios. It would be like adding tons of cal before adding micro.

SAC87
SAC87commented3 years ago
@MrHyde, I’m quite happy with it so far. I only ran it on 80% as the plants were so tall and the videos and reviews stated that’s where the most even light pattern was. They’re not crazy expensive at $700+ cdn, but that’s not cheap in my books. When the flower is all for my medical purpose it’s kinda steep.

@Bubble_Budz, thanks, I appreciate it. It’s taken a lot of time, confusion, learning, genetics and equipment upgrades but I’m very happy with how they are. Just listen to your plants and do what they want, after you pick the seed, it’s all about what they want. 👍🏻👍🏻 Happy Growing 🌱
