This week I transplanted into a 5 gal fabric pot and started some low stress training. She responded great to both, but has started to flower earlier than I thought she would!
@Ferenc, unfortunately I excepted defeat outside... lol But ive moved her inside now and shes doing great! she's definitely stunted, and I will be lucky to get a quarter out of her, but she if flower super fast and is still a joy to grow! got to love how much you can mess up on cannabis and still get a beautiful plant out of it!
Oh there is a strain called Sir Jack, so I bow in silence.... lol ! How wonderful ! As an advice, I would move them asap in a larger pot in order to ensure humidity level is not fluctuating a lot since in a small cup one can easily burn dry the roots. You miss a watering at plus 35 and its done in a couple of hours. Plus they look ready for transplant, they won't grow any bigger in there. And the green screen is a top ideea ! So I don't really understand your problem with the moisture...
@youngatheart, well dang I didnโt think about the potโฆ they have always worked great for me! But I usually grow indoorsโฆ Im going to do some better research into pot and Iโll definitely start adding a layer of just perlite at the bottom. I appreciate you!!
@Sandero, ok now I see. Fabric pots are excellent for zones or setups with low humidity (30 to max 40%), so in your case they work against you. The best thing you can do in my experience is use a air pot or a normal square one in which you can drill/make a bunch of small holes. And always (!) remember to lay on the bottom of the pot (whichever it is) 2 cm of perlite or stones in order to ensure the best drainage and gain substrate humidity control. Then you will not depend as much on atmospheric humidity do to the job. ๐ Thumbs up !!!
@youngatheart, I appreciate the knowledge! With really high temps and constant 75+ RH, Iโm having problems with over watering with the plants I moved into 5 gal fabric bags. Iโll water and wait a week or more and it my pots donโt feel any lighter! Those only have 20-25% perlite and 25% coco in them. Do you think I should increase the amount of perlite for these guy?
