GDG11 WEST COAST O.G

Grow diary 11 Stage 1 Days 1-10 By day 4 all was looking good, she had a few roots coming out the bottom of the cube. Day 6 I transplanted her to the 3 inch rockwool cubes that had been soaked for 15 mins in this stage nutrient solution and left to drain for 15 mins, then she went into the bigger propagator. Day 10 she had roots coming out the bottom of the 3 inch cube. Over the last few days she has been getting more exposure to the fan, with the lid of the propagator the humidity is on the low side, but i want to get some air movement around her. She has grown o.k over the last 10 days. She looks healthy enough and is where I would expect her to be in growth. Temp Max 30.6c Avg 26.6c Min 21.2c Humid Max 85% Avg 69.7c Min 45.7% VPD Max 1.86 Avg 1.03 Min 0.44 Hopefully back in 10 days.

Grow diary 11 Stage 2 Days 11-20 The light schedule was altered to 19/5 on day 11 and the 6 inch distance was maintained until she went into the main tent. Lights on 7pm off 2pm Day 12 was the 1st time she was watered/fed since day 6 when it was soaked for transplant. After day 12 she was fed 300ml every day and the run off checked to make sure everything was in range. Day 17 she was topped after the 2nd set of nodes. I'm thinking of removing the lowest set of nodes in a few days and doing a small mainlining project, Day 18 she was moved into my new main tent (gorilla shorty gt225). The light is my mars hydro TS1000 set at 50% power 20 inch above the canopy. The wilma system is just hydroton/clay balls, and the feeds are on at 8pm for 15mins and on at 12.30pm for 15mins. Day 20 she seems to be adjusting to the topping and the transplant. I'm happy with how the last 9/10 days have gone, its still been mega hot and i have managed to battle the heat quite well so the plants haven't suffered. At the moment all 4 strains are at about the same point in growth. Grow diary 11 Stage 3 Days 21-30 Day 22 removed lowest nodes. I'm also thinking i may be overwatering. Day 24 eventually found my humidifier. Day 26 topped both colas. Day 30 training. The last 9 days have been fairly bad, around day 22 I thought the grow looked a little overwatered. This time I am using a home made ring to flood the pots, i didn't take into account that this ring lets out about 10 times the amount of water then the blue drippers. I cut the watering down and the she started to recover. She isn't the worst looking one out the 4 strains maybe the 2nd worse looking one. Grow diary 11 Stage 4 Days 31-40 Day 31 Turned power up to 85% on the mars hydro ts1000. Mines one of the old ones you need to stick a screw driver in to alter it. Day 36 Removed the single finger fan leaves and the 1st 3 fingered leaves. Day 39 Removed the 4 fan leaves from where she was topped last week. The start of this stage we hit a heat wave, day after day of heat. I had my humidifier on most of the 9 days. The tent didn't hit the temps I thought it would so that means I have my loft under a bit better control. The plant really kicked into gear this week, around day 34 she started to explode in growth. So far I have only done some lite defoliation by removing some of the 1st leaves that weren't getting any light anymore. I now think the west coast o.g is the nicest looking one in the grow. Grow diary 11 stage 5 Days 41-50 During the week she had some training and I removed the damaged leaves. The whole grow has suffered from me not getting the watering schedule sorted. This westcoast hasn't started with the pistils yet but she can't be far off. Hopefully I haven't done to much damage.

Grow diary 11 stage 6 Day 51-60 This last 9 days she has continued to veg and stretch. I have been bending the tops of the 4 mains to try and get her as low as possible, she is the tallest of the 4 strains I have going even with multiple bends on the mains she is a good 9 inches taller then the wedding glue I have going. Don't think she liked the slight increase in nutes this stage. Hope she gets going into flower soon as she is way behind the others and I was planning on harvesting all plants at the same time.

Grow diary 11 stage 7 Day 61-70 She has had to fend for herself most of the last 9 days. When I got back I was hoping she would be in flower. 70 days in and not in flower so she has fucked up my schedule a bit. But on the plus side she going to have a bigger harvest from the extra veg time.

Grow diary 11 stage 8 Day 71 to 80 This west coast o.g is attempting to flower after I knocked an hour off the lights. I'm thinking she needs me to go 12/12 so really her autoflower gene is redundant. She is taking over the tent and I'm having to move plants to another tent to finish them off. But on the bright side once the other 3 plants are out I can go back to adding a bit more nitrogen get it healthy and throw my net over her and switch to flower.

Grow diary 11 stage 9 Day 81 to 90 This west coast o.g has grown beyond belief. Yet again she has shown that she is going into flower but she has done this twice already and just got bigger. I have been removing the other 3 strains out the tent as its been a massive compromise on the light height, it's been to far away from some plants and way to close to this one. I have even thrown a net over her to keep her down a bit. As of day 90 she is finally alone in the tent so I can lower the power slightly on the light as I don't have much more height left for it. Also from day 91 the light schedule will be on 16/8 to make sure she does continue flowering. Can't believe it's taking so long to be honest. Thanks for stopping by. Grow diary 11 stage 10 Day 91 to 100 Well she is in the main tent on her own now. She still hasn't really got going into flower yet. The training really should be considered torture now as I'm doing my upmost to keep her down as I have run out of head room. Because she has been on the same bloom feeding schedule as the 3 other strains that where in there she isn't in the healthiest of shapes. If she doesn't kick into gear in the next 7 days she will be going on 12/12 and see if that does anything.

Grow diary 11 stage 11 Day 101 to 110 I noticed now the west coast o.g is the only plant left in the wilma system that the ph was a little off, I would say the ph was probably about 5.5. So the last 10 days I have managed to get it nearer 6.0. She still hasn't really got going into flowering yet so as of day 110 she is now 16/8 light schedule. She isn't in the best of health really.

GDG 11 stage 12 Day 111 to 117 Still have issues with this one. So this week I turned the power down to 75% on the light and ran a cleaning solution through the wilma system this was day 114. She is over stressed and possibly had a salt build up in the pots. Really think I had or maybe still have root problems. Hopefully I'll see the pistils really start to kick in soon.

GDG 11 stage 13 Day 118 to 124 So another week has passed, she has possibly improved slightly this week. Had to lower the Ec a bit and that seemed to help. I was tempted to cut my losses and start a fresh grow but I'm going to be a bit busy for next week or 2 so I'm letting her live a little longer. I'm going to run next week on a low Ec as well. If by the time I can start my next run and she still hasn't pushed on then I will class this as a failure.

GDG 11 stage 14 Day 125 to 131 I'm about done with this one. She is struggling and I'm running out of patience and this has messed up my schedule by a good few weeks now. When I get back home in a week I'll cut her down and not waste anymore time unless she miraculously has started looking healthy. By over stressing her early on I probably caused every problem, she is lacking nutrition and when I try feeding stronger she doesn't like it. So there will be one more weeks diary to come where I'll put together the time-lapse of the grow.

GDG 11 stage 15 Day 132 to 138 Not much to report on this week as i was away. She looked a bit worse when I got home so gave her a quick defoliation, saying that most the leaves fell off when I looked at them. She had drank the same amount as normal and the ec was static when I got back and the ph was still close to where I left it at. Really regret not scrapping her off when I finished the other 3.

GDG 11 stage 16 Day 139 to 145 I have given up on this one and started some other seeds. She is going to stay in the tent until last possible moment before I need the tent for my new batch. She is producing trichomes but no proper buds so when I chop her I'll be making some hash. Shame really as this is diary won't have a proper harvest report.

Well what can I say. I messed up big time with this one. The grow was scheduled to finish around day 100 and 3 out the 4 plants where done by then. Due to over stressing this one and over watering I completely messed it up. Trying to keep her going past the day 100 mark was a mistake because I have only got a small quantity for hash. Lesson learned on this one.
