ScrOG set to 20cm above the medium
Going to be topping on saturday I reckon, just waiting on the back 2 plants to sprout more of the 5th node fan leaves and have the 6th node come through a little bit more.
Front two plants are crazy advanced they look a week older than the back 2 anyway!
Day 18
- Topped all plants, 1 plant had a node site fall off so had to top down to the 4th node on that one
- Very light defoliation, just a couple large fan leaves
Day 20
- All 4 Plants have had Cal Mag 2 days ago as tips where yellowing, since then:
- One plant seems to be a lot smaller, has deformed leaves, and yellowing of sites.
Maybe overwatering or a Iron Deficiency?
- LST The 2 large plants to even out the canopy to compensate for the small plant
Heights
2 x 9"
1 x 7.5"
1 x 8"
Also started defoliating all plants this week to make room for the scrog, tucked a couple sites under the scrog on the beasty plant
Would love peoples opinions on which seedling you would like to see go? Myself I am looking at the bottom right as leaves are curling and slight yellowing has appeared, top right has shorter wider leaves and the other 3 are looking amazing!
Yeah I suppose that I would
Agree that one looks like it COULD have issues. Why not let em run another week or two before deciding. The runts will become real obvious at that point.
Can someone please help me when it comes to dehumidifying your tent, I have my dehumid in the tent corner, cut a hole in the tent as an exhaust for the unit, and the humidity refuses to come past 57% I have tried, full room dehumid aswell as in tent dehumid, nothing works??
You need a stronger air intake on the floor. If you can keep your door open, put a fan on the floor blowing in. You need to push the humidity up and out.the more foliage you have in your tent the harder its going to be yo keep humidity down. Leaves exhaust moisture when the breath. Defoliation indoor is important if your growing larger or multiple plants.
Never defoliate outdoor plants.
Do you have an actual exhaust fan? Something that will help suck/draw out the hot & wet air? A hole is pretty passive. Intake at the bottom (low cool air in) and exhaust at top...
Oh man! Do I ever fell ya! You have to get a bigger dehu! Problem is the heat! Sorry to say! I run two—- one in the tent and during the lights on I open the tent and have another outside! It’s sucks growing in the summer ✌️🏻💚🌿💨
@Ezzjaybruh completely agree that's my mindset up until they're at least 2 weeks old even 3 then ill take a final look and see, I've had seedlings seem on the verge of death in the first 2 weeks then grow up to yield 6oz!
@CannbellFarms, yes exactly. You can see my gold leaf recent one.. one was a runt and I almost killed it off. So I put it in 3 gallon coco but the better looking one in 6 gallons of soil. Even til I flipped and into flower the soil looked superior.. but last half of flower the coco showed out and yielded more and better denser bud. It was a way better pheno it just needed some time and love.
@CannbellFarms, Tell me how it goes. I'm interested. We're having a real summer here too (upstate NY)...today was 85-90 outside and the rest of the week will be the same, so I feel your pain. I vent my tent outside. but our basement level which normally would be cool but humid we keep in control with dehumidifiers that raise temp by a few degrees...so in the 80's no matter what this week. I just posted on my week 4 a few graphs of temp. & humidity...once my lights go out my RH goes way up to about 70% for a few hours then it drops back down once the lights come on again. I love having a wifi meter that transmits to my phone...I can keep an eye on it and adjust setup accordingly. A great $35 buy...
@LeastExpectedGrower, currently at 52% 26.5C lights off, nights are near perfect just the weather we have right now is all over the place, 20C outside and 95% humidity, gonna just cut some slim rectangles in the tent and put some mesh up and create another intake point
@CannbellFarms,
A cool/slick implementation would be a AC Infinity Cloudline T6 exhaust paired with a second matching intake...the controller/sensor will run two fans, then you can set the high and low temp/humidities and the fans peak levels and they'd go on/off at the same time when triggered...and the slowly ratchet up from off to whatever the high setting is...so if it vents fast enough, it'll never get to peak fan levels.
@hashy, I ended up removing about 2 oz of leaves haha was half a shopping full of large leaves, also removed some of the puny leaves on the satellites/popcorn! definitely seeing better light penetration, I'll upload photos now!
@CannbellFarms, hello there. Its a debatable subject. Me personally would remove the big fan leaves. The ones with the stems on. This then let's light penetrate the lower growth. I would leave any on around the perimeter of the plant as they won't be shading anything. You don't need to go overboard but I think you have a good few you could remove in the centre of the plant. This will also help with air flow through the plant and will help reduce the chance of mold. This is just my opinion to help lower your RH a little. Others will say don't remove anything. Or another thing you could do instead, is remove the lower part of the plants, the lowest 3rd of the plant is probably not getting much light so remove that, it's called lollipoping, that may be the best solution.
Just checked on your new pics. That's about right with the defoliation. Good job, not stripped the whole plant which is easy to do when you get in the leaf plucking zone.
@CannbellFarms, an intake fan will help extend the life of your extractor and put it under less pressure. I removed mine as it was vibrating through the floor. You could give it a try.
@hashy,Thankyou brother! Would you recommend an intake fan btw? Currently i'm just passively pulling air in by using my exhaust fans negative pressure!
@Kitties_and_Colas,Yeah as much as I adore diy'ing everything when it comes to canna you can't go wrong with a solid led light setup, the main challenge is extracting the heat as for led they do kick off some serious temps!
Awesome, ty for the reply!! The hubby has been talking about building us one for a for years now but i'll probably just end up buying one this year because i don't see that ever happening lol...you've given me something to chew on, thanks again!! 💪😺
@Kitties_and_Colas, Cheers b, the lighting is just a Maxibright daylight 660w led most similar in spec to the luxx series and dimluxx 600, I don't know if they're available outside the EU however
Wow that does look strange. At first glance it looks like spider mites? Is there a chance the mites like that certain terpene and don't touch the other plants?
