This week they really took off, and towards the last few days started to show some early deficiency so I knew it was time to transplant into some hotter soil. Usually, I transplant straight into the final 5-gallon grow bag, but in the essence of saving space until my tent is available, they were moved into larger pots with some of the Fox Farms Ocean Forrest soil they will be in.
Hey! Good luck with your grow!
I'm a brand-new first-time grower using the exact same lights as you (XS2000). I'm wondering if you could answer a few questions for me?
1. Do you follow the XS2000 manual for light intensity % and light distance?
2. When the seeds have germinated and are sown into their first soil, what % intensity and distance do you keep them?
3. When the seeds have sprouted and are seedlings, what distance do you keep them and at what light intensity %?
4. When do you increase light intensity/distance?
Thank you so much!
@RndmGrwr,
I didn't use the xs2000 for the first two weeks because it was still in the tent with some girls who were finishing their flower cycle. I just swapped the VA600 out for the xs2000 a few days ago, and the girls seem to have really taken a liking. Currently, I have the xs2000 sitting about 15" above them and is set to 70% strength. That will be moving up to 100% in the next few days. When the seeds were first sprouting, I kept the va600 light 18-20" above and had the light on 60% while they adjusted. As far as light distance, you want to keep that as short as possible while not having any heat issues. I will drop the xs2000 down to 12" once I have reached 100% power and keep an eye out for any bleaching or burning on the leaves.
Good luck with your grow I hope you get the best taste of buds and healthy plants! Take care and stay lit! Please say hello if you visit my page!
