These plants, White Widow Auto, were a week old on Monday May 14th. I purchased the seeds from Truenorthseedbank , since I’m in Canada. The seeds are ‘Canuk’ brand , which I believe is this dealers own brand of seeds. Not much to report yet - thus far they have been grow outside during the day and taken inside at night and put under a 45w LED grow light. I just acquired a 4x4x7 grow tent and 600w HID light set up. After I get it all constructed I will be putting the plants under the MH HID for 18 hours a day. I have also purchased General Hydroponics FloraSeries. ( Gro, Bloom, Micro ). I have not yet started adding nutrients. I am considering also getting Liquid KoolBloom and Floralicious. Does anyone know of this is worth the extra cost ? This is my first indoor grow , I have done outdoor grows with one or two plants in previous years with unfeminized seeds to varying success (genetics). Any advice from seasoned indoor growers would be appreciated. Thank you!

At this point, as a first time indoor grower in Canada, I’m looking for any general advice as the weeks go by on my grow. if there are areas of improvement that I can make , all I ask is that you politely mention the thing that needs improvement and the reason why. Thank you!

Mmm. things to improve or keep an eye on. First don't spend a shit ton of money on expensive nutrients, specially if this is your first indoor experience, you can get a great results with just the basics. Actually move nutrients to the bottom of your "things to keep in mind". First thing to keep an eye on: over watering, this is the number 1 rookie mistake, for a newly sprouted plant like yours half a party cup (7 to 8 o) of water is enough for 5 to 7 days; as the plant grows, you will notice the soil will dry faster, meaning that the seedling is consuming more water per day, then and only then you up the amount by small amounts (I usually up by increments of 50%, that has worked as a rule of thumb so far). Remember too much water severely restricts root oxygen uptake and this means no growth, the plants literally drowns. Second: temperatures. This is of utmost importance. In the correct range the plants will thrive and grow rapidly. When the temperature is low, the growth slows down by a large margin. When temperatures are above 23°C (73°F) the growth is really fast. Regarding this, try to improve your lights out temperatures (I turn the lights on during the night, so the heat emitted by the led I'm using keep the indoor warm). As for an upper limit, as far as you are below 30°C (86°F) you'll do fine. Third, use quality soil, this will feed you plant freeing you from having to use nutrients for weeks. Lighter mixes will require feedings sooner, heavier mixes, can lasts you weeks. I use a heavy mix on 3 gallon pots, and that allows me 8 weeks of no nutrients. Fourth, save yourself a Future headache and get both a pH pen and EC/PPM meter. Always measure and adjust pH (even in soil). Fifth. Nutrients. You only need a grow nutrient and a bloom one, the rest is not actually needed and with quality soil you can forget the grow one. Master everything above before thinking on getting root stimulators, bloom boosters, etc. In my experience plants don't need those.

Alright everybody ! So this is the second week of my plants lives. They are approximately 17 days old now since I saw the root tails crack open from the seeds. They have been under a 600w MH light (air cooled hood) hooked up for a 240cfm fan to vent air outside. I’m thinking this 600w Light is a bit of overkill at this stage , next run I’ll probabaly buy a 250w MH bulb to get them started since my ballast can run multiple options. These girls are looking good so far under a week of the MH 600w they are showing some good growth. 4 of the 5 plants all look healthy to me - 1 of them looks a little sad and over watered maybe? I’ve been able to maintain a temp range of 68-78F throughout the cycles with humidity going between about 35-50% when lights are on-off. Also Incase anyone was wondering I have the vivosun brand of lights, cords and grow tent. So far everything seems to be of great quality. I purchased everything for around $900 Canadian dollars - including a full 2 sets of 600w MH and HPS bulbs, nutrients,ph and ppm meters and everything else seen in the pictures. Oh and Don’t worry - I also have a 6x18 Carbon filter ready and some extra ducting to hook it all up once these girls get into flower. Feel free to over any advice !

Hey everybody, So things are starting to pick up pace now - were in week 3 with these lovely ladies. 2 of the plants are starting to pull ahead already working on their 4th node. The other 2 plants are doing average and working on developing their third set of nodes. The last plant is catching up from behind it’s only got two completed notes and working on its third - this plant got stunted from some early over watering and got a bit of a potassium defeciency as a result. It’s picked itself back up and is looking healthier by the start of week 3. These plants over all are looking pretty good. The temps are a bit cooler this week as it has been hot outside, so the AC has been running making the temps a bit lower. Right now it’s about 78F with lights on - 65F at lights off. It’s a little on the cool side but still within range I think. I’ve bumped up the nutrients in their feedings slightly now to .5ml from each of the GH flora series per Gallon. The plants really seemed to enjoy the first light feeding in the previous week. Water PH is at 6.3 Here’s to another successful week - no major errors and correcting one that I made early on. I think next week it will be time to work on some LST. Feel free to drop a note and offer advice.

Hey everybody , So it’s week four now , at least based on since I saw the seeds root tail pop out during germination. Had some nice growth this week, it’s really starting to pick up the pace as more growth develops. I’m still on the same feeding schedule of .5ml of each bottle from GH floraseries. Plants seem too like it , haven’t seen any burns from over feeding - might bump up the nutrient next feeding ! I order some plant ties to start LST they should arrive tomorrow , I’m hoping it will help get some quicker quicker growth and higher yields eventually. Two of the plants are working on their 5th nodes , while the other three are on their 4th. Over all the plants seem healthy and are growing well. I’m not sure if they should be bigger yet but I never timed my brows outside. I’m happy !

Hello, been keeping humidity at 40-50%, temps 78F-65F, lights 600w MH - 18on 6off. Light nutrients at .5ml per gallon from GH flora series. My question is how are my plants doing ? Good size for 4 weeks since seed cracked? more nutrients yet? Any advice? Thank you!

Your grow is doing fine. Week 5 and 6 you will see some explosive growth in your plants. Keep in mind that your tent is only roughly 6ft to 6ft 7in in height and you will have to rais your light up when you switch to flower. As an example I have a 6ft7in tent with my lights mounted all the way to the top. I switched my plants to flower when they were 18in y’all and when switched to flower they grew to 43in tall. This left me with only 2 ft left from the top of the tent. So keep in mind that when you switch your plant will grow 2-3times it’s size from veg. All that said you will be able to increase your nutrient feeding soon depending on the soil you are using as Athos has stated. Good luck on your grow and I hope this helps!

Hey everybody, Thanks for the advice last week - it probably saved the plants or at the very least at will make them have better growth. Lots to learn. The PH run off is now at about 6.5 for all the plants. I’m continuing to water them with PhD water at about 650ppm. NUTES info above is glitched... it’s 5ml/gallon of MICRO, BlOOM AND GRO The plants are still under the 600w MH bulb for 18hrs a day. A few plants are showing pistols which is a good sign. I plan to wait another week and then I will I switch to 600w HpS . Any advice is appreciated. THANKS!!

Hey everyone , Thanks for following along. Wow tons of growth this week - these girls really bushed up A LOT! I think I took some poor advice and bumped the feeding up toohigh at 650ppm , one plant got nitrogen toxicity with a couple claw leaves. Flushed and fixed it. A few brown spots on a couple leaves on some plants , ordered calmag to be safe. I’m thinking it’s from too many nutes. I’ve scaled back to 350ppm. One plant is in heavy pre-flowers and the LST gave it like 6-7 tops! Nice! The rest are still in late veg , More pistils are forming and I think they will all be in flower by next week. The strain info says 9-10weeks , this is week 5 .. half way! Thank you for the advice ! Happy Growing! YAY legal marijuana in Canada on Oct 17,2018!!!

Any advice for the flowering stage on these autos. One of them is a couple weeks ahead of others. Slight yellowing on lower leaves entering flowering. Lots of colas forming from the LST. Any advice or recommendations? How much yield do you think? Each plant about 1.5’ x1.5’

My friend they need watering asap, I can see by the leaves they are under watered. This can cause the yellowing. Also autos still need sufficient supply of N in the flowering phase from stretch and sometimes a little further. It’s to hard to judge your yeild at this stage because some of the plants look like they are still growing upward. Minimum 1oz per plant at this stage providing you give her what she needs. If you need an extra opinion DM me whenever

Two plants are heavy/late flowering - looks great to me! Huge colas and dense fat nugs that are covered in crystal..! Roughly 30% red hairs and about 90% cloudy trichs, 10% clear. Flush soon with FloraKleen by GH. Waiting for about 50-70% red pistils or 70% cloudy 30% amber trichs. Nutes are 850ppm , water ph’d to 6.5. The other 3 plants are a couple weeks behind in flower for some reason.. they are looking good too! See video for close ups of nugs!

SO these girls are still going along in flower.. I decided to pull on my 15MP camera and get a white background to show off the flowers. Took some nice shots of the buds.. looks great , I'm quite impressed with this for my first grow!!! with everyones help of course lol.. The two most mature plants will probably be ready next week or so. The other 3 plants have a few weeks left and are taking longer to flower. Drop and like and enjoy bud porn!

Week 12 comments: Happy to Harvest the first 2 plants, 3 left to harvest.. these first two smell amazing and look great. We’ll see the smoke review to see my comments on that. Very pleased! The first two plants yielded about 1.5 oz each...for an auto strain and my first grow I am very happy with the nugs. Potent, good bag appeal and smells dank! The other three plants shouldn’t be far behind .. I’m estimating another week maybe then flush and chop! The other three girls look fatter than the first two in this harvest! Week 15 comments : here is the results from the next two plants!! Smells dank as a skunk .. Heavy Dense fat colas.. Plant 3 Wet weight: 295g Plant 4 Wet weight: 281g Assuming ill get the same ratio of weight loss as the other earlier two plants harvested.. this should yield 22% of wet weight.. Approximate assumed dry weights: Plant 3 - 65g or 2.3oz Plant 4-62g or 2.2 oz Earlier two plants harvested yielded: 2.76oz (77.4g) This harvest is a estimated Total : 4.5oz (126g) dry estimate from TWO plants on my first grow ever!! The difference was an extra month of flower time roughly and bloom boosters on the harvest of these two girls.. Total over all estimated : 7.25 oz 1 plant left to harvest! UPDATE: dry weight is confirmed at 122g from second set of harvest. 4.5oz !! Woo. Added photos for proof. Final update : only the first harvest was decent buds .. the rest of plants came out with Larfy airy buds that weren’t very potent and took like an extra month to finish ripening .. not very impressed over all with this breeder or strain from them.
