Seed in rapid rooter, rapid rooter in DWC bucket with solution and expanded clay. Solution/nutrients are just below the rooter so bubbles must it and keep it moist. I have even done it so the bottom 20% of rooter was sitting in the solution, success either way.
Just letting Harlequin grow, there's a problem with her. Looks like nute burn kind of but isn't. I made no adjustments. She's growing strong and fast so I said " don't know what to do, ehh just leave it be"
Let it grow till I realized I didn't have nutrient burn but a deficiency. I upped the PPM, pH balanced, and topped the plant all on the 25th.
When I topped I didn't defoliate anything. The plan was to mainline/manifold. Topped at 3rd node with only a quarter inch of stalk stub and 3rd nodes just barely showing.
6/27 The lower nodes began growing vigorously so I chopped off all lower nodes and left the fan leaves.
6/29 showed recovery from deficiency and grew crazy fast. This was a sign to begin my next step.
6/30 Defoliation and LST to prepare for mainline/manifold, first foliar feeding with Floralicious Plus.
7/4/21
So the setup was adjusted, I upped the PPM to 600, adjusted pH to 6.0.
I'm just letting it grow right now. I can't decide how many colas to go for... 4? 6? 8?
I will either keep it in here or move it to a bigger space. I don't know yet, this wasn't really something I would choose.
Any suggestions? Advice? Anyone know if Harlequin is decent on the taste? I know it's not the strongest strain but that's ok, it was a free bean.

I haven't done much but gently bending branches and leaves and tucking. I checked ppm and pH and adjusted to keep between 550 and 600 for ppm and adjusted to 6.0. Letting her grow out for a mainline/manifold but still not sure how big to go.
7/6/21
Checked and adjusted ppm and pH, defoliated only the top 2 largest leaves. I'm keeping most of the leaves attached until it got 6 nodes. I will then start the rest of the mainline/manifold defoliation and training.

Normal pH and ppm check. Just letting it grow

Mainline/manifold defoliation and LST. Normal pH and ppm check
7/9
Mainline/manifold are almost complete. Just waiting for a couple more nodes to grow out some before finishing the defoliation. The plant took the training like it was nothing. I really thought I would have seen some slowed growth and some recovery time but no, it was perky within hours.

Checked ppm and pH, just letting it grow.

Checked ppm and pH. Finished mainline/manifold preparation. I will probably just continue to do LST and a little defoliation but mostly just letting it grow at this point forward.

pH and ppm check, She is growing strong. I'll do more defoliation eventually but its growing well and I see no point in cutting anything yet. It has good air flow and the mainline/manifold is allowing everything to grow pretty symmetrical and it's catching good light exposure.
7/18
PPM and pH check. Broke a branch when doing LST. taped it back on.

PPM and pH check, branch was already standing up and perky. Forgot pictures sorry.

This girl is amazingly strong to recover from anything. I am very happy with the mainline/manifold on Harlequin. She looks beautiful and should make some serious colas down the road. If you have noticed I don't tie down most of the plant. I let them grow out and up. As they grow they will be pull out at a slight angle for maximum light exposure and I feel the plant actually grows faster and stronger this way. Just my opinion! Thanks for checking Harlequin out!

Checked ppm and pH. She's growing fast and strong. This plant is unbelievable how much she can take. Hopefully I can get some serious colas off her.

Checked ppm and pH to find ROOT ROT. So, so, so disappointed in myself. Everything was perfect! She was such an amazing plant. And I made a mistake of to much water in the bucket and water was resting in the net pot and clay pellets. So STUPID. So now I am fighting along side Harlequin to kill this root rot. I will ride it out till she dies. I refuse to let her go...

Checked ppm and pH,
Hydrogen peroxide root drench to wash off the rot. Top rinse with fresh water into an empty bucket to cleanse the hydrogen peroxide and rot out of the roots and pellets. Gave her a strong dose of Hydroguard 12ml a gallon. If Hydroguard won't kill it off then I don't have much of a chance.
8/6
Checked ppm and pH. Smelled those roots real good, every square inch. The rot smell was reduced alot. But the plant and roots look limp. She can pull through. No giving up.

Checked ppm and pH.
I honestly cannot tell if its getting better or worse. Sometimes she perks up, sometimes she's droopy. Its not anything I can control. I think she's trying to make new roots, the roots are drinking, but I haven't seen new root growth yet.
I'm afraid to do another hydrogen peroxide root drench because the plant didn't take it to well. Suggestions? Advice? Think she will make it? I'm not giving up.

Ppm and pH check. The battle is over, root rot has died and gone. Harlequin will live and continue to grow.
( Please note: I was sniffing this girls roots everyday, well every 12 hours and added hydroguard if it didn't smell fresh clean dirt. My roots smell like fresh dirt when there healthy 🤷♂️
So I stopped adding when the funk was gone. It was a weeks battle but she gets new roots growing and some very brown disgusting left overs. Couldn't believe I caused such a problem by filling the water to high. To embarrassed to show her roots lol)
Catch up notes: Harlequin was put into her first nights sleep 3 days before she got root rot. I continued her flowering Schedule while fighting root rot. It proved to be beneficial as the roots did grow faster in the dark and when the infection was bad the intensity of the light was hard on her and would make her limp. Every morning when I pulled her out of the dark room she was perky and happy. This continued for 7 days and now she is at 100% although a little beat up from the battle.

Very impressed by Harlequin. I thought she was a goner for sure. This strain is just not a quitter, she keeps going no matter what. I'm really happy about these free seeds! Can't wait to try her out!

Checked ppm and pH. This was a very very easy plant to grow and was extremely strong. I caused root rot right at the beginning of flowering by over filling the bucket. Look at her now!!!

Checked ppm and pH. This little plant is a lot more impressive then I thought it would be. The nugs its making are really dense and compact. She's definitely creating more bud then I though she would, and that tropical smell just keeps getting better and better!
Got root rot, but she overcame and produced some serious buds, density, smell, flavor and frost. I am kinda wondering if this was even a Harlequin plant because she was so dank.
I didn’t think this plant was going to make it to harvest after getting root rot in flowering. But she pulled thru with hydroguard. She was very very surprisingly dank!!! The tropical disappeared and became a Skunk like OG. Big smell and flavor
