FreddySpaghetti Hey everyone!!
I tried to germinate Patty and Selma and for the first time I followed the paper towel method, it seems to have gone well. We'll see what the result will be as soon as the cotyledons pop up!!
After 3 days in the paper towel, I put them in a 0.5-liter pot. I didn't add any nutrients, just water with a pH of 6.5, just to keep them moist. Unfortunately, my grow room is heavily affected by the temperature and humidity conditions outside, so hoping the heat doesn't kill them, fingers crossed.
I'm super excited to have started this diary!! Let's hope it brings good luck!!

FreddySpaghetti Looks like they’ve grown well!!
First week of nutrients.
I noticed a few bugs and as a precaution, I sprayed a solution of 3ml/l of neem oil.
During this week, there were some really hot days, around 33-34 °C, so I helped by putting a frozen bottle in the grow room. Anyway, it seems like we’re really growing well and in shape!!

FreddySpaghetti This week I'll start the "training."
On day 20, I put them in the final 15-liter pot, and I added a bit of mycorrhiza at the bottom to help the roots spread out in the new pot.
On day 23, I started doing some defoliation and topping, followed by LST. It's the first time I'm applying these techniques to the plants, so I hope it goes well, but they really look healthy, so I'm confident.
I tried putting the cuttings in honey, which I saw somewhere, let's see if they survive.
I'll wait a couple of days and spray the neem oil solution again, since with this heat, the pests are really thriving.

FreddySpaghetti Patty and Selma are recovering well from the training, I hope to do another topping by the end of this week.
I performed minimal defoliation before the weekend.
The muggy heat continues, but it seems like they are handling it well now.
Of course, the cuttings died, but I wouldn't have had the space to grow them anyway, so it's better this way. No woman no cry!!
After a careful inspection, I noticed a few small mites, so I'll have to apply some neem oil solution again by the end of the week.
I had to improve my LST technique, as Patty and Selma always manage to free themselves from the ties.

Everything is going smoothly, the girls are growing well!!
No signs of pests, but we're keeping our fingers crossed.
I'm still doing some leaf cleaning and making a few improvements to the LST.
In a couple of weeks, I think I'll transition from the vegetative phase to the flowering phase, just enough time to strengthen them a bit.

FreddySpaghetti Here we are at the last week of vegetative growth!! Before going into flowering, I think I'll do another round of neem oil vaporization as a precaution, even though I thought I spotted a little bastard!! I did the last defoliation before sending them into flowering, which I'll do next week. On day 52, I did a bit of HST, just to slightly increase the yield; in fact, due to my inexperience, I broke a branch, which I then fixed with a bit of tape. Let's hope it heals from this nasty injury. Now they are starting to grow well in height. Just a little longer and it will get serious!! Stay tuned!! Ciiiaaaaoooo

FreddySpaghetti Now the first signs of flowering are starting to show....beautiful!!
I had to improve the LST a bit because the tips were all crowding towards the center.
I cleaned up the dead leaves and introduced the flowering nutrient (green sensation).
I might have overdone it with the topping, creating too many tips for my grow room; now that they are growing, I'm noticing it, but as the title of this diary says, it's the first time...so this is all experience.
The heat is easing a bit, and they are benefiting from it, so I'm taking the opportunity to bring the light closer to 45cm (18") to the girls. Now I'll monitor them to see if they like the change.

FreddySpaghetti Here we are at the eleventh week.
The flowers are starting to take on their beautiful and typical shape. The branches are full of buds that are developing wonderfully. I've cleaned up the girls a bit at the bottom from dead leaves and unpromising shoots.
For now, I'm giving them 0.75 liters of water every two days, also to avoid too much humidity, but with the temperatures dropping, the soil stays moist longer, so I think it's fine.
The smell is increasing.
I'm trying to manipulate the girls so that all the flowers can get a bit of light. In fact, there's one branch that isn't getting enough light and is clearly underdeveloped compared to the others; I still have to decide whether to cut it or not. Given the overcrowding, I don't think it would change much to leave it there. I think I'll decide in the next few days. What would you do?

FreddySpaghetti Welcome back everyone!!
Now that the temperatures are dropping and the heatwave is over, the girls are growing and getting chunkier. How beautiful!!!
They continue to grow in height, but I think they are slowing down now. One thing I've always forgotten to mention is that I water them once every two/three days, depending on whether it's hot or not. The nutrients are always the same.
At the beginning of the week, I did a little defoliation and it seems they really liked it; they didn’t suffer from it and even the lower buds are managing to get a bit of light. It actually looks like the flowers have plumped up in just one day. What do you all think?
This week I'll try to update the photos day by day, so you can see the girls' progress.

FreddySpaghetti This week the girls are finally fattening up.
I added the nutrient sugar royal and a cloth that looks like a diaper to help the girls get even chubbier and more fragrant!!
I did a little defoliation of the lower leaves that aren't getting light, just to avoid wasting energy.
Unfortunately, it's starting to rain a lot, so the environment is getting more and more humid, but with two fans pointed and a big air circulation, I hope nothing happens. We'll see.
They're finally taking on their typical fox tail shape.

FreddySpaghetti This week has been disastrous!!
I had to cut the nutrients in half due to the start of nutrient burn. Plus, I found out that my pH meter wasn't calibrated, so I don't know if administering nutrients with the wrong pH contributed to the burn. I even thought it was light burn from being too close, so I moved the light away.
After posting the photo of the leaves in the "Questions" section, it was pointed out to me that besides the burns, I also had clear signs of a damn thrips invasion. So I had to apply a sprayed solution of Spinosad (1ml/1l), good thing I still have at least 20 days until the final harvest, otherwise it would have been impossible to use such a powerful insecticide, even though it's organic.
Lately, I've kind of ignored them and they made me pay for it!!
Despite my wild adventures with the girls, I can happily say that despite everything, they're developing some nice flowers and fattening up a bit!!.. this, I suppose, is due to the excellent genetics from RoyalQueenSeed.

FreddySpaghetti Hey guys.
This week I think they have recovered from the shock of nutrient excess. To help protect them from those damn insect attacks, I sprayed a CANNACURE solution and I’ll keep doing it until harvest. Unfortunately, it's starting to get cold at night; I hope this doesn't slow them down in developing those nice fat flowers. But we’ll see.
I’m continuing with half the nutrient doses compared to the charts, but I think this will be the last week I give them any, then starting next week I’ll begin two weeks of flushing and then, finally, the harvest.
This will be the last harvest before winter, since I’m in an outdoor cabinet. I’m thinking about a thermostat system with thermostats and small heaters; we’ll see if I can manage it!!
Regarding the harvest, I was expecting a bit more, but I obviously made some small mistakes that led to this yield. I’ve learned a lot from these two girls, and it was the first time I applied growth techniques, but especially my first time with feminized plants. That said, the overall balance is definitely positive, and the next round will surely be even better.

FreddySpaghetti We’ve reached the second-to-last week!! The smell is crazy, they’re very fruity and caramel-like, I can’t wait to try them!!
Starting this week, I’ve stopped giving nutrients and now we’re going for Flushing!! I give about 1 liter of water per plant every two days at pH 6.
This week I also gave a spray of CANNACURE, just as a preventive measure, from next week it’ll be just light and water.
I can see the first signs of ripening from the gradual yellowing of the leaves, most of the pistils are turning brown but especially the trichomes are becoming milky white. I plan to harvest when the trichomes are about 25% amber.
We’ll see, guys!!
The fateful moment is approaching and I can’t wait!!

We finally made it to the last week!! It seems like the girls have really bulked up!! I'm so excited!! The buds are fragrant and feel very dense to the touch, nothing like the autoflowering ones I grew a few months ago, it's on another level, and the smell is much fruitier too.. sometimes I feel like just picking a little bud and smoking it right away!! But of course, patience is the most important virtue for a nice and good harvest.. I'll have to wait a few more days.
Today, which is day 2 of the week, I gave the girls water for the last time. I gave 1.5L per plant, last drink!! On day 7 of this week, I'll start the cut and begin the drying process. Given the high density of the buds, I think it will take at least 10 days.
But you'll only know by following the next update!!

Siamo arrivati finalmente al raccolto!!
Di seguito alcune considerazioni:
RESISTENZA
Le piante sono super resistenti, le ho veramente molestate con HST, LST e tagliando in modo brutale alcuni rami o foglie, durante l'HST si è pure rotto un ramo ma si è ripresa rapidamente!!
Inoltre ci sono state ondate di caldo che le hanno stressate non poco, ma sembra che non abbia inficiato più di tanto.
TECNICHE APPLICATE
Con questo tipo di genotipo si possono tranquillamente applicare tutte le tecniche possibili, reagiscono sempre molto bene!!
RACCOLTO
La resa è stata esattamente come me l'aspettavo, circa 45 g per Patty e 49 grammi per SELMA, insomma quasi 100g. Di sicuro io avrò fatto qualche sbaglio applicando le tecniche nel momento sbagliato oppure in modo sbagliato. Chiaramente ho imparato molto e sicuramente al prossimo giro non farò gli stessi errori.
GUSTO
Per adesso il gusto è tendente al dolciastro ma devo ancora finire la concia e sicuramente cambierà. Ne ho provato solo uno facendomi una canna per curiosità, ma preferisco aspettare la fine della concia per godere appieno di tutte le sue fragranze.
ESSICAZIONE
Per l'essiccazione ci ha messo abbastanza, quasi 3 settimane, ma era prevedibile dato il fatto che le cime erano molto dense e grosse. Inoltre non sono riuscito a mantenere costanti i valori di temperatura e umidità, che ballavano tra 14-19 °C e 45-65% Ur. L'importante in questa fase e che non si sia formata della muffa e questo non è successo. quindi sono molto soddisfatto!!
CONCLUSIONI
Consiglio a tutti la COOKIE GELATO from RQS. e se ci fosse occasione penso proprio che le ripianterei!!
