Germinated one Grizzly Purple Auto from Blimburn. Funny story… lol but I only realised this seed was an auto kind of late and therefore started the seed as I would with photos. I soaked the seed for around 24hrs in plain tap water. Planted directly in 100% promix to germinate for transplanting later (not my usual technique for autos as I would not normally transplant them). Germination was fast and a little more than 24 hrs of going into promix, seedling had emerged.
Topped her early at about 5 nodes down to 3 nodes. Used LST clips on her ah few days later. I defoliate every week or so to increase air flow and light penetration. For an auto, her veg time was magnificent which allow me to create a nice canopy and recover from topping.
She is doing her thing and I’m loving the results so far. I would have found out around this time that she is an auto based on her flowering under the 18/6 schedule. Confirmed with the order I placed for the seeds. My mistake but you live and you learn. So tip no. 1 from me would be confirm your seed type lol.
Really loving this strain. The smells off of her is amazing already. I was in two minds whether to put her in the bloom tent under the more powerful lights but decrease light schedule. The bloom tent is also cooled to some degree which would help preserve the trichomes. Letting her do her thing with defoliation for airflow and light.
I decided to put her into the bloom tent for better cooling. I hope that the yields aren’t too badly affected as the lights are more powerful but short time. Fingers crossed 🤞
Letting her do her thing. Stepping up feeding bit by bit till I’m going to flush. Did some defoliation and some LST to open her up a bit. Smells are coming in and she smells delicious 🤤
This strain is a beauty. Trooper for sure. Thinking she was a photo I topped her early from 5 down to 3 I believe. Didn’t do a full mainline as I left 2 branches under the mainlined branches.
Used lst clips on her to get better light penetration. Used hst and wire to even out the canopy as much as possible in flower.
She did not slow down one bit. By far one of the most rugged autos I’ve grown.
I would love to grow this again and treat her like an auto to really see her shine under as little stress as possible.
My lights would hold back the yields and the light cycle used later in flower but the lower temps did her justice.
She didn’t purple on the buds but her leaves started to fade to purple around the edges coming close to harvest.
Thanks for your great work Blimburn Seeds!! Better conditions, equipment and without that foul up I would have done your strain better justice I am sure.
Would highly recommend this strain 💪😎
