Hi everyone i was just wondering whats a good way to keep the temps down in my tent without an intake and exhaust system. Im growing in a 3x3x6 tent with a 1500w smd led which seems to be a little hotter than my old led.

Hi there! Well this seems complicated, since IN/OUT air-flow is 100% required for your plants. Buckets full of ice could work for a moment but you'll need to change it everyday few times a day. I see your tent has bottom windows, you can try to open them all first, then see how it decrease your temperature but I'm not optimistic without a real exhaust system. I'll be around, good luck with these beauties!

Hey Nomad, the plant looks incredible! Its come so far since the beginning. If you've got a magnifier of some kind, you really want to see mostly white cloudy or milky trichs, with maybe 20% or so of amber. However having at least the majority being milky is good. I know some harvest in stages and that works for them. Just as a guide clear trichs cah give a more anxious high, milky trichs are better and more matured than clear, too much amber trichs can give you way couchy go to bed weed. The buds are looking great but maybe check the manufacturers recommend time frame and if possible hold out for more milky/amber trichs. Best of luck, Happy and Healthy growing to you. 💚🌱

Hi bro, the rusty is cal mag or ph problem, check the ph if thats ok between 6-6.5 should be cal mag you need to add next time in first week of flowering until flush :) looks good 👏 ps the leaves will automatically die in the flush.
BigDaddyK
BigDaddyKcommented6 years ago
@Nomad,it actually should peak in weeks 3-6 of flowering , that’s when the plant really sucks up nutrients , I would peak at 1000 ppm in soil tops and always test the runoff
Nomad
Nomadcommented6 years ago
@BigDaddyK, i try not to overdose her with nutes but what should the ppm be at in the peak of flowering? Before flush
Nomad
Nomadcommented6 years ago
@BigDaddyK, i thought maybe it could be lock out but i cant figure it out lol

@Experimentgreen, there is another cool thing i found called the cure cork which is a top for a jar but it automatically dries and cures bud perfectly “supposedly” but that ones a little more pricey at like 200 something bucks and who knows if itll actually work good
Nomad
Nomadcommented6 years ago
@Experimentgreen, and pretty cheap too im gunna buy 2 of them.

@CRiSPrGrow, i ordered the jar and a 12 pack of boveda 2way humidity packs just incase and also for longer storage lofe even tho (Mypharmjar) makes the shelf life about 85% longer due to the color and type of glass it is. Mypharmjar.com on google lmk what you think.

Yeah the room is actually air conditioned so i guess i can leave it on and let it cool the room i usually do that but just had to ask because sometimes people have good ideas. Thanks for the input buddy.

The trichomes look all milky from what I could see in the photos, but you have the best view of that. From where I sit I would have been flushing and getting ready for the pre-harvest dark period. Have you tried any of the popcorn buds?
Nomad
Nomadcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, oh and no i havent sampled anything yet
Nomad
Nomadcommented6 years ago
@Quexos, yeah ive tried bud candy and final flush from A.N but wasnt anything special so just water
Quexos
Quexoscommented6 years ago
@Nomad, I've read that flushing with just water is a good idea. It kinda starves the plant at the end so it absorbs what it can from the leaves. That increases density of the buds. It also helps with terpenes. I think the flush additives are just bud sweeteners. They probably help leech out any salts, and help develop the flavor/aroma of the finished product. Watering until run off does most of the work.

Your tent is the same size as mine. I had a few problems with heat. It was getting into the 90's by the middle of the afternoon. I opened the windows on the bottom of my tent to allow circulation. Then I put some 120mm USB computer fans in the round openings near the top of the tent. I have them blowing outwards. Now I have cooler air being pulled into the tent, and hotter air ejected. Of course, when I use my exhaust fan, I can drop the temps by almost 10 degrees in an hour! All of your grows look really good. You are doing a fine job of growing herb!
Nomad
Nomadcommented7 years ago
@Quexos, thanks bro. I have exhaust fans and intake fans now and everything seems dialed for now so im just gunna keep going and let them do their thing. Thanks for the kind words

The last photos of the plants are looking very good with the CFL lighting. You got over the overwatering soggy soil problem then? That's great I hope they keep on doing so well for you. Happy and healthy growing to you.

Nomadcommented7 years ago
@Experimentgreen, Yessss i fixed my little problem and theyre growing nice and strong i kindve wish i topped and lst’d my autoflower but as my first auto i didnt wanna mess it up before i get to see how it grows and also because everyone says not to top autos but i see people doing it and it looks fine, im not a fan of the christmas tree but im excited to see what she can do. Im going to veg the maui plant until the auto is pretty much finished atleast thats my goal.

Looking like they are coming along nicely. I had a heat/ humidity problem myself. I ended up putting in intake and exhaust fans with sensors. It’s been worth it for the peice of mind.

Very nice looking plant mate! Also struggling to keep the temps down.. Sometimes it runs as hot as 31-32 degrees celcius. Also using a 3x3, but ordered a 4x4, better exhaust system, active intake and an aircooler. Let's hope temps go down! Good luck, ur doing good :)
