Running another of Green Houses newest strain, really excited to see how she turns out and what she can produce.
So I went with my usual germination method, Cup of water for 24hrs then move onto the wet paper towel for another 24hrs in my tent with the heater turned on to keep temps around 26 degrees.

All good apart from the summer heat, but nothing I can do about that, plus in seedling stage the young ladies can handle it really well so no issues! 👍🏾🌱💚

So after 10 days of Drying, I have trimmed up the ladies.... Well 3 of them, 1 I Have other plans for her..... Nothing there to trim. Not gonna lie guys even the smoke is not all that. 😑
Not a strain I would recommend, different Pheno's which procude larfy Budz, even on the tall plant.... So larfy that I only got like just over 1 ounce of larfy stick looking Budz.
She's an easy strain to grow which requires very low humidity and I'm talking about 40% RH! Mine was at about 55% with 5 fan's... Still ended up losing 2 of my top colas.... I have ran other strains in similar setups with less fans with no issue's which suggests to me that the Dark Phoenix has a really Weak resistance to Mould.
She smells very kushy/hashy with a hint of Lemon/Citrusy... Certain Pheno's have a stronger scent than others. The potency is there, on the Green House website it states a 24% THC level and I can definitely feel the high... Hits you pretty much straight away... The high is really nice... Too bad about the Bud quality.
Yeah I could have done a better job, there's always room for improvement but I won't be improving with this strain that's for sure. Won't be growing it again.
In all this was a terrible harvest, and because I also do videos for my YouTube channel I don't update on Grow diaries properly which I will start doing with future grows.... Well on my next harvest will definitely do a better job of documenting my harvest details.
But in regards to the Dark Phoenix, yeah not a strain I'm a fan off. At first I kept telling myself that I done a terrible job that's why i don't like it... But I need to keep in mind that I'm not going to like all strains, all strains are different and we all have different preferences. Some people might like the Dark Phoenix, me personally I'm not a fan.
It has that earthy taste to it... Hashy/kushy...... Smoking it as I'm typing that's why 😅 and even with a longer cure I doubt it would make much of a difference to make me like it. But in all still a nice smoke, good high from her, the high hits you straight away and keeps you active and creative.... Don't know what else to say about her really, just trying to give you guys the best most accurate review that I can without bringing my own personal thoughts about the strain.
I might not like it but its still a good smoke. 👍🏾😎
@Santica_Garden, Yeah I see so you decide when Ou want them to bloom. I usually flip them on week 6 or 8 yours as well ready....
Well.... just be careful even if tehy are indicas ..

@Ferenc, these are Photoperiods so they won't Flower until I flip them to 12/12 light cycle, but I am planning on Vegging them for an extra week or 2 so I can do abit more training on them.... Especially with the cheese, I want them to get abit taller... They are 90% Indica dominant so won't get much height from them.

What’s the closest you run the fc4800 to the top of the canopy? I have ran about 16-17 inches and seem happy so far
@Esoteric_growing, I use the Lux meter app from the Google App store.... Was recommended to me by other fellow growers. I wasn't too sure at first seeing how it's an APP...... but works really really good considering. I would say try it out before buying an actual Lux meter.... And I tested it using my Optic 4XL which is top range LED and my Mars Hydro's for comparison 👍🏾🙌🏾👍🏾! No complaints!
@Santica_Garden, I am still finding my feet with these powerful LED’s so was also a little wary of dropping it more than I have on the canopy. Anything over 1000ppfd on a canopy is pretty much pointless unless CO2 is being supplemented etc. I need to invest in a decent par meter to measure exact light output but that may be a Christmas present to myself lol.
This is another strain apart from kings juice that I have had my eye on since it was recently released. I will be watching as usual with interest brother👍
