Germinated seed in jiffy pot with some basic potting mix I had, adding 6.4PH water. Got this started in my PC case box I made, under a few CFLs. She sprouted through after exactly 4 days. I have a proper tent setup that I will move this to in the coming days. This is my first ever grow, so I've tried to make it as easy as possible for myself. I have read many diaries on this site and expect to learn a lot along the way here 🙂

I've moved in to my tent with my Mars Hydro LED and 19L fabric pot. I've used organic living soil from Easy As Organics (link below). I'm hoping this will simplify my grow and mean I don't have to add lots of nutrients. She seems to be growing nicely so far. https://easyasorganics.com.au/product/living-soil/

Had very slow growth and drooping leaves. I realised this was because I'd put it in a big pot too early and I wasn't watering often enough, meaning she wasn't getting enough water. I switched to watering less amounts more often, ensuring to water right near roots. She seemed to bounce back pretty well since then. I'm hoping for quick growth over the next week and to perhaps start some light LST once she's looking strong enough. I welcome any constructive criticism or comments please. Thanks for stopping by 🙂👍

Interesting week..... Whilst she has grown and shows well at times, I find the leaves often look very droopy. Could anyone please help me figure out why? Here's some extra info. I've noticed that the drooping seems to happen from about 4pm in the afternoon. When I check at about 9am the next day (after resting over night), she looks beautiful and perky, virtually no droop at all! Then later in the day starts to droop again. Watering Admittedly there have been a day here or there where I've watered a bit less (been busy). But I've also noted the drooping on days where I've watered 400ml a day (2 x 200ml) for a few days. I'm pH testing my water and ensuring its 6.3 - 6.6 Humidity This has been around 47-51% I know this is low, I haven't got a humidifier yet. Ive just been spraying water in to tent every few hours when I'm awake. Could this be causing an issue? Lights Always 60cm distance Running 20 hours on On - 2am to 10pm Air flow Always has access to open window/fresh air. Intake is great as is exhaust. Circulation fan inside too. I don't believe this to be the issue. Nutrients I haven't added any nutrients to my waterings. As mentioned in my previous weeks post this is because I'm using organic living soil. Should I perhaps rethink this and add a tiny amount of nutrients? (open to suggestions) Training I'm wanting to try LST, however with the drooping issues, I don't think it'd be a good idea to add the extra stress of LST.

Usually this happens when you don't water or when you water too much. Looking at the photo you uploaded I can see that the top layer is very moist: it can be that the pot is too big and the water creates a bubble inside. Touch the leaves: if the leaves seem moist I advise you to water the plants with less frequency or with less water. Good luck!

After help from the great people on this site, I was able to figure out that I was over watering the plant. Since figuring this out, I have been able to perform some light LST and defoliation. She has responded quite well to this. I will do some more in a few days after she grows a little more. Enjoying learning along the way with you guys! Thanks again for all your help.

Continued to LST where appropriate this week. On day 33 I decided it looked like she was starting to bud. So I moved the light closer and defoliated a few more leaves to allow for more light to bud nodes. Pretty happy with the progress and looking forward to seeing how the buds come up over the next few weeks!

Leaves have been drooping and a lot of stems have gotten red/purple. After researching a bit, I understand this can be stress from various things. I highly doubted it was over or under watering because I was very cautious on this from previous issues. I had been monitoring the humidity and temperatures closely. It has been getting quite cold in the mornings, and warm during the day, combined with very low humidity, sometimes as low as 22%. I decided that it's likely the erratic temperature fluctuation and low humidity was likely the issue. These have picked up over the past couple of days, I have noticed the plant has too. With all that said, she has actually grown quite well. Bud nodes developing nicely and main stems growing taller day by day. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Buds and stems are growing nicely. There have been some leaves that have become droopy, discoloured and blotchy. I think this is further due to the erratic temperature fluctuation and low humidity. The red stems have lessened over the past few days, which is positive. Other than that, pretty happy with how things are going.

Overall everything going pretty well. Buds thickening, slowly. I had an issue with my light not turning off and unsure how long for. This is now fixed. Due to other commitments, I will be pulling this plant on Monday, which will be day 68. Given the breeder says this plant should be finished within 9 weeks, it should be about right. I can see the trichomes are multiplying and turning a milky white. Another few days will definitely help I think. I've learnt a lot on my first grow and I'm really looking forward to my next one!! Thanks for following along. I'll post the harvest photos on Monday.

Unfortunately the overwatering during the veg stage seemed to stunt the plant quite a lot. Not using any added nutrients and harvesting a few days early are reasons why the buds didn't thicken to their full potential. Regardless, I'm happy to get my first grow on the board. I've certainly enjoyed it and learned a lot, now really looking forward to my next grow! Cheers for following! 🙂 : 1:

Your growth is looking good to me👍🏻 You plan on giving a nutrient feed this coming week?
Oblique
Obliquecommented4 years ago
@Mr_ZAF_Budz, Thanks for the response mate! I appreciate the comment and information. I will start having a little look at what nutrients I could try and introduce in small amounts, like you have said with the molasses. Cheers 🙂👍
Mr_ZAF_Budz
Mr_ZAF_Budzcommented4 years ago
@Oblique, Good choice! Living organic soil is the way to go in my opinion🙌🏼 You can also give grow or bloom nutrients dependent upon the growth stage of the plants but it’s not a requirement. If you feel you want to feed at some point then maybe start with a simple molasses feed to keep the microorganisms in your soil happy and strong. Otherwise keep doing what you doing enjoy the grow🤜🏼🤛🏼

@Mr_ZAF_Budz, Thanks for the response Mr ZAF. I dont really know much about what nutrients to feed, so I chose organic living soil (link below for details) which I believe contains most of the nutrients required throughout the grow. My aim was to simplify this to make it as easy as possible for my first ever grow 🙂 https://easyasorganics.com.au/product/living-soil/
