Leaves have been drooping and a lot of stems have gotten red/purple. After researching a bit, I understand this can be stress from various things. I highly doubted it was over or under watering because I was very cautious on this from previous issues. I had been monitoring the humidity and temperatures closely. It has been getting quite cold in the mornings, and warm during the day, combined with very low humidity, sometimes as low as 22%. I decided that it's likely the erratic temperature fluctuation and low humidity was likely the issue. These have picked up over the past couple of days, I have noticed the plant has too.
With all that said, she has actually grown quite well. Bud nodes developing nicely and main stems growing taller day by day.
Thanks for stopping by ๐
Plant leaves drooping seems to happen from about 4pm in the afternoon. When I check at about 9am the next day (after resting over night), she looks beautiful and perky, virtually no droop at all! Then later in the day starts to droop again.
See week 3 post notes for more details
Usually this happens when you don't water or when you water too much.
Looking at the photo you uploaded I can see that the top layer is very moist: it can be that the pot is too big and the water creates a bubble inside.
Touch the leaves: if the leaves seem moist I advise you to water the plants with less frequency or with less water.
Good luck!
@Mr_ZAF_Budz,
Thanks for the response mate!
I appreciate the comment and information. I will start having a little look at what nutrients I could try and introduce in small amounts, like you have said with the molasses. Cheers ๐๐
@Oblique, Good choice! Living organic soil is the way to go in my opinion๐๐ผ You can also give grow or bloom nutrients dependent upon the growth stage of the plants but itโs not a requirement. If you feel you want to feed at some point then maybe start with a simple molasses feed to keep the microorganisms in your soil happy and strong.
Otherwise keep doing what you doing enjoy the grow๐ค๐ผ๐ค๐ผ
@Mr_ZAF_Budz,
Thanks for the response Mr ZAF. I dont really know much about what nutrients to feed, so I chose organic living soil (link below for details) which I believe contains most of the nutrients required throughout the grow.
My aim was to simplify this to make it as easy as possible for my first ever grow ๐
